Iranian diplomat target of MKO-Zionists plot in Germany

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hassan Qashqavi has revealed a joint plot by the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) and the German tabloid Bild to launch a smear campaign against an Iranian diplomat.

“The orchestrated attempt of the MKO and the Zionist tabloid, Bild, in plotting, implementing and fueling this fabricated scenario once again indicates their convergence in hatching plots and conspiracies against the Islamic Republic,” Qashqavi said on Sunday.

The Iranian official stressed that, given the grievances suffered by the Iranian consular member at the hands of the Frankfurt police, Iran’s Foreign Ministry will pursue the restoration of the rights of the Iranian diplomat.

On July 4, Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned German Ambassador to Tehran Bernd Erbel to strongly protest against the German police confrontation with an Iranian diplomat in Frankfurt after he was attacked by an African woman on Monday while he was returning home from work.

The Iranian government has also demanded that German officials launch an immediate investigation into the issue and explain the misdemeanour by the police.

It’s noteworthy that in 2010, two German nationals posing as reporters from Bild were arrested in Iran after they interviewed the son of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a woman convicted of adultery and complicity in the murder of her husband.

Iran said the two had admitted to breaking the law, citing political motives behind the Western propaganda effort regarding the legal ruling against Mohammadi Ashtiani.

Ex-MEK leaves Paris hospital after vicious attack by Mojahedin

Nader Naderi, a former MEK member who was attacked and beaten up by Mojahedin Khalq cult members in Paris, was released from hospital after being treated for broken ribs and other injuries.

The attack on Mr Naderi took place in a busy street in Paris where a group of ex-MEK members were holding an authorized rally against violation of human rights by MEK cult leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

Naderi writes in his weblog, "more than 15 members of the MEK attacked us like they wanted to kill us. I say directly to Maryam Rajavi that these violent offences will not stop me or my friends from telling the world about what the MEK have done to us."

According to another ex-MEK member, who was one of the organizers of the rally, the MEK members were organized and had orders to stop the rally. Hamed Sarrafpour says, "Maryam`s terrorists hid among the tourists who were passing along the streets, they chased us and then attacked us. They don’t want any criticism of their cult to be heard."

The attack on Naderi was witnessed by a citizen of Paris and a British tourist who filmed the incident and later accompanied Mr Naderi to hospital. In a statement given to the French police the British woman – who wished to remain anonymous – said, “I came here as a tourist and I was shocked when I saw what was taking place, I felt unsafe. What really disgusted me is that I think I have given money to this group in London in the past. I hope the police catch them and prosecute them.”

Many ex-MEK members who managed to escape from the MEK’s Iraqi base, Camp Ashraf, in recent years have testified to numerous violations of human rights inside the garrison. These include the and false imprisonment of members who did not want to stay with the group any more.

During recent years, the MEK has spent millions of dollars in order to get itself removed from the US terrorist list (FTO). They have held rallies and invited speakers who were paid amounts of between 10 to 40 k dollars.

The Rajavis run the MEK along the lines of a totalitarian cult which governs how relations are organized inside. This includes ordering members to divorce their spouses, forcing them to attend daily confession meetings and denying them access to external information and communication.

Democracy is a word frequently used by politicians around the world. People are constantly told The democracy Rajavi believes in that they’d better live in a democracy. Most states claim that their political system is “democratic”. Most opposition groups claim that they are struggling for democracy.

A democracy is a government by people; it is rule of the majority. Tolerance is one of the features of a democracy. Tolerance is the capacity for, or the practice of, recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others. But, is anyone who chants slogans of democracy,a democrat?

The June 23 gathering of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization was allegedly called a “pro-democracy” event. The organizer of the rally said it was held “for democratic change in Iran”!
As the organizers of the event, national Council of Resistance of Iran is the propaganda arm of the MKO. Self assigned president of the NCRI, Maryam Rajavi is now running the group – which is widely known as a cult- in the absence of his disappeared husband Massoud Rajavi. Massoud went in to hiding in 2003 after the US invasion to Iraq and the fall of Iraqi dictator and also following the arrest of Maryam by French Police in June 2003. As Elizabeth Rubin of the NYTimes asserts the MKO "is something more like a husband-and wife-led cult ".[1]

On July13, 2003, Rubin published a comprehensive article on the cult-like devotion of members to the group leaders. Interviewing both advocates and opponents of the group she concludes, "It seems dangerously myopic that the US is even considering resurrecting the Rajavis and their army of Stepford wives." She writes of Iranians view on the MKO, ”those who knew and remembered the group laughed at the notion of it spearheading a democracy movement.”[2]

To clarify the type of democracy the MKO speaks of an example of their so-called pro- democracy acts should be noticed: Prior to the June23 gathering, several former members of the group staged a rally in Saint-Mitchell square in the southern suburb of Paris on Friday, June22 to voice their resentment at the terrorist activities of the MKO ,reported PressTV. The defectors rally was confronted by a number of MKO members wielding knives, snap-off blade cutters, chains and baseball bats. [3]

This undemocratic act of intolerance by MKO members was not unexpected. On June17, 2007, over 50 MKO members attacked a public meeting in Paris at which several people were injured. PressTV reported that it was later revealed that the assault had been orchestrated by top MKO leaders. [4]

This is the democracy the MKO leaders believe in. Neither respect, nor tolerance is included in their “type of democracy”.

Those Western politicians who were invited and paid by “the Organizing Committee for Convention for Democracy in Iran”(!), should watch their behavior. They badly risk their reputation by advocating for an officially terrorist designated group- under the name of democracy!

Fabricating a file for Mr. Sadegh Mohammad kazem, an Iraqi official, and assailing rally of Iranians opposed to the MeK, were among recent actions of Rajavi’s gang in France.

These measures have been applied by the MeK to test ways to strengthen and expand their organization and paving the way for greater mobility in France.

In the first try, the MeK presented a so- called incontrovertible file to the French Court and, hoping to lead to detention for months or even a verdict against Mr. Kazem.

The complaint against this Iraqi official was a test to examine whether they could hit their opponents by the French judicial tool, or not. If they were able to create such a situation, certainly the defectors and critics of the MeK would not been assailed by Rajavi’s hooligans; Instead, any of these protestors would have a record of participation in terrorist acts!

Although acting against Mr. Sadegh Mohammad kazem apparently was randomly and simultaneously with his passing through France, but, the fact is that the MeK’s leadership already has been informed of this trip through the Baathist Penetrating agents and she had planned for such action, in order to exploit the Iraqi government, also to strengthen the MeK’s organization and securing its members in France.

French judicial system, with releasing of Mr. Mohammad Kazem and apologizing to the Iraqi government, also by detaining several hooligans of Rajavi’s gang, demonstrated that it is not a plaything for the MeK.

However, it is a matter of fact that France for political reasons has ignored the anarchist nature of the terrorist group MeK. This is a serious threat to this country; The MeK’s day and night propaganda against former French authorities who were involved in the case June 17, reveals that if this terrorists were ever able, they would fabricate a file for French authorities, too.

On the Other hand, self-immolation of the MeK’s members, assailing the defectors, and other anti- law actions make clear that this terrorist group is a threat to social order and national security of this country.

France now is on the eve of an important exam. Its governors should know that with the closure of the MeK’s main camp in Iraq, their country will be the center of this terrorist group- whether its individuals could take asylum or not, and Auvers-sur-Oise will be the center of their terrorist acts. So, the best option for France is following the Iraqi government to expel the MeK.

Dealing with Terrorism Conundrum in Iraq

The only rights to have been violated seem to be those of the terrorist MKO

The blight of terrorism cast on a society is enough to upset people’s life even if they are not direct targets of terrorist perpetrations. But despite the real and direct impact of terrorism on human rights and its devastating consequences on societies, the struggle of terrorist groups to enforce recognition of some rights on legal communities is far greater than that of the victims of terrorism to call for the protection of their rights in any way if they ever have any.

The flagrant violation of regulations by Mojahedin Khalq Organization MKO/MEK being overlooked, the Iraqi government and other international concerned auxiliary sides to peacefully settle the conundrum in Iraq has encountered never-ending complaints, demands and even warnings by the ringleaders. Even if the members of MKO were terrorist suspects, the Iraqi government considered their expulsion a preventive measure to protect its territory from individuals considered a security risk to the country and the nation. MKO, however, is not a suspect terrorist group but a globally blacklisted one acting as Saddam’s mercenaries in the era of his despotic rule over Iraq.

Neither exiles nor refugees, MKO is the most unwelcome leftover of Saddam’s tyranny whose expulsion the Iraqi government deems to be tantamount to a strict counter terrorism measure in a violence afflicted country. Since the fall of Saddam, The Iraqi government has been busy hunting down the remnants of his regime, with whom MKO has been undeniably reported to have established close connection. If fact, Camp Asharaf, under the protection of the coalition forces that left the internal control of the camp in the hands of the terrorists themselves, became a safe haven for a number of discontent insurgents and opponents loyal to Saddam or fed by external hands to prevent the advance of order and freedom in the country.

However, there is a widespread speculation that despite being blacklisted a terrorist group; multitudes of its members have been deceived into joining the group advertised as a freedom fighter or the starting platform devoted to provide an easy, successful life in European countries. In reality, most of them are vulnerable individuals of a society and victims of a general naivety that terrorist groups and cults take advantage of them to recruit and enslave. Needless to say that a universal consensus confirms, according to undeniable evidences revealed by the defected members of MKO, the painful and bitter truth that MKO is absolutely a terrorist cult of personality run by the wife-husband Rajavies.

The Iraqi government is actually acting to accomplish two indispensable jobs simultaneously by its decision to expel MKO; to uproot the possible threat of a foreign terrorist group and to unshackle the enslaved insiders of a terrorist cult. It is a universal responsibility to help Iraqi government in the task to fulfill. Whilst the rights of the Iraqi government have to be recognized at the regional level, they have not so far been fully protected on the international plane, to provide for the nation an opportunity of enjoying an unprejudiced, peaceful and secure life, it offers an opportunity to the trammeled insiders of MKO to regain their freedom.

But, alas, the policy of appeasement has emboldened MKO to refuse accomplishment of a justified sine qua non. The only rights to have been violated seem to be those of the terrorist MKO; it freely holds rallies and gatherings in the heart of European countries, as held on June 23 in Villepinte, Paris, confidently accusing the US of shirking to remove its terrorist tag and calling for the protection of its bastion in Iraq. But hardly anything serious has been done yet to protect the violated rights of a nation calling to have their home free of violence and disorder. And hardly any ear has heard the desperate cries of help from within the cult that simply fad out in the propaganda ado of MKO.

UN Concerned about MKO’s Lack of Subordination

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General (SRSG) for Iraq, Martin Kobler, expressed concern about the terrorist Mojahedin-Khalq Organization (MKO)’s resistance against UN Concerned about MKO's Lack of Subordination a relocation of its members from its main training base in Camp Ashraf to a transient settlement facility in Camp Liberty around Baghdad.

The relocation to Camp Liberty has been stalled since the arrival of the fifth group of MKO members on 5 May.

"I urge the remaining residents of Camp Ashraf to relocate to Camp Hurriya (Liberty) without delay," SRSG Kobler said. "The relocation process should not be stalled. I am concerned that there will be violence if the relocation doesn’t recommence."

"I also urgently call on States to include residents who are eligible for refugee status in their resettlement quotas and to offer them a path to a more hopeful future outside Iraq," he added.

The MKO is seeking to transfer its members to another country, but no world state, including the US and the European countries, accept to lodge the terrorist group.

The relocation process has come a long way since February 2012. Two thirds of the residents have already moved to Camp Liberty, a temporary transit location near Baghdad prior to resettlement in third countries.

Zionist lobbies are seeking to shelter members of the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Azerbaijan as the US administration is trying to station the terrorists in five neighboring countries of the Islamic Republic.

Authentic reports from sources privy to the MKO disclosed that the US administration is consulting with five of Iran’s neighboring states to persuade them into sheltering the MKO terrorists.

After nearly three decades, Iraq is now expelling the MKO from its soil, while no world country has accepted to shelter the terrorist group.

The US allies in the Middle-East, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Qatar and Pakistan, are likely to be the destination of the MKO terrorists, the sources added.

The sources also pointed out that Zionist lobbies are pressuring the US and Baku officials to station MKO terrorists in bases and desolated air fields, and added that the issue was a topic of recent discussions between Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Azeri officials.

Zionist lobbies are seeking to create Camp Ashraf-like conditions in Azerbaijan to save MKO from complete dissolution.

The MKO’s main stronghold was a training center called Camp Ashraf in Iraq’s Northern Diyala province, but the post-Saddam Iraq decided to close the camp specially due to the MKO’s massacre of Iraqi Shiites during the Saddam era and its terrorist operations against Iran in the last 33 years. Iraq started expelling the group a few months ago.

The MKO cannot find a shelter outside Iraq, while it is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.

Before an overture by the EU, the MKO was on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze. Yet, the MKO puppet leader, Maryam Rajavi, who has residency in France, regularly visited Brussels and despite the ban enjoyed full freedom in Europe.

The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, a number of EU parliamentarians said in a recent letter in which they slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British terror list. The EU officials also added that the group has no public support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

French security forces have arrested 16 members of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) following clashes with a number of defectors in Paris.

According to a Sunday report published by the Habilian Association, an Iranian human rights NGO comprising a group of families that have lost their beloved ones in terrorist acts during the early years following Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, several MKO defectors staged a rally in the Saint-Michel square in the southern suburbs of Paris on Friday to voice their resentment at the terrorist activities of the anti-Iran group.

They were, however, confronted by a number of MKO members wielding knives, snap-off blade cutters, chains and baseball bats.

Police later intervened to contain the violence, detained all 16 MKO members and sent them to judicial custody.

On June 17, 2007, over 50 MKO members attacked a public meeting in Paris at which several people were injured. The attackers filmed their activities at the scene. It was later revealed that the assault had been orchestrated by top MKO leaders.

According to French police, the assailants had been transferred from other European countries to France. None had French documents and some even had false papers.

The MKO fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up a camp near the Iranian border.

The group is also known to have cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq and carrying out the massacre of the Iraqi Kurds. It has carried out numerous acts of violence against Iranian civilians and government officials.

A Negative Response to Terrorists’ Incessant Preconditions

The State Department is warning MKO not to bargain over the humanitarian issue of relocation

No doubt, terrorism is a common problem and all measures have to be undertaken to lower the level of its threat with a focus on preventive measures. But to see a terrorist group setting precondition for the continuation of its cooperation in a process to fulfill another unconventionally reached agreement with it is a new phenomenon. It appears that even all parties engaged in the process of relocating MKO’s members from its military camp, Camp Ashraf, to the Temporary Transit Location TTL near Baghdad have grabbed the truth that the group is contriving a serious battle against them. That is because so far all efforts to peacefully resolve the standoff are being rebuffed by MKO’s strict set of conditions to resume a negotiation to comply with the already agreed transfer process.

All the parties involved are unanimous that the issue of relocation of the residents in Camp Ashraf is a purely humanitarian issue that should be made as easy and peaceful as possible to accomplish, notwithstanding MKO is blacklisted a FTO. In December 2011, Ambassador Daniel Fried, Special Advisor for Camp Ashraf for the State Department, made the cause clear and promised to monitor the process of the transfer: “Embassy Baghdad will visit former Camp Liberty on a frequent basis to provide robust observation. The US seeks a safe, secure, humane resolution. Our interest is humanitarian”. But MKO is grabbing at the issue as an opportunity to force the State Department to remove it from its terrorist blacklist.

The process has reached a stalemate since MKO stopped convoys of Camp Ashraf residents to TTL after the relocation of the fifth group in early May. Since then, it has minimized its contact with the Iraqi government and other involved parties and has focused on widespread propaganda warfare to impose its set six preconditions to resume the transfer. Amongst these publicly-declared conditions is a call for the State Department to inspect Camp Ashraf, “U.S. will inspect Camp Ashraf as soon as possible”, a task the US has announced to carry out following the complete evacuation of Camp Ashraf in a two month-long span. The result will be instrumental in convincing the State Department to review MKO’s re-designation.

Apparently fed up with MKO’s procrastination and enraged by its sets of preconditions, particularly the one calling for the inspection of Camp Ashraf, Victoria Nuland, the Department Spokesperson, in a statement released on June 18 urged MKO “to resume full cooperation immediately with the Iraqi Government and United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI)”. The statement adds, “Constructive offers must be met with a constructive spirit, and not with refusals or preconditions to engage in dialogue. Recent publicly-declared conditions for cooperation, including calls for the Department to inspect Camp Ashraf as a precondition for further relocations to Camp Hurriya, are an unnecessary distraction.”

MKO considers the court ruling giving the State Department four months to announce its final decision over the group’s terrorist tag as a gained victory to have the upper hand in any dealing. The illusion fostered mostly when some European high-profile personalities congratulated the halfway, unpromising court ruling, as a decisively issued ruling. However, an American official believes that “the group’s leaders may have overinterpreted the U.S. court ruling as a guarantee that it would escape the terrorist list”. In fact, the State Department is delivering a message to MKO forewarning that it is gravely mistaken to strike any bargain with the Iraqi government and the US over the humanitarian issue of the residents; it is warned that it has no other option but to follow through on plans to resume the process of relocation as planned.

MKO Working Through Senate to Sabotage Iran Diplomacy

Washington, DC – Affiliates of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, are claiming to be behind a major letter from the Senate aimed at curtailing U.S. MKO Working Through Senate to Sabotage Iran Diplomacy diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear dispute.

The letter, sent last week by forty-four Senators, calls for President Obama to abandon any further diplomatic efforts with Iran unless stringent preconditions are immediately met. While many assumed that the prominent American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) lobby was behind the letter, MEK-affiliates are now taking some of the public credit.

The lead author of the letter, Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO), enjoys ties to the Iranian-American Cultural Association of Missouri, an MEK-affiliate that released a statement supporting the letter.

The group claimed, “More than 30 Iranian-American communities, associations, organizations and professional entities representing and encompassing tens of thousands of naturalized Iranian-American citizens from across the United States lent their support to the bipartisan letter.”

As a U.S.-designated terrorist group, the MEK cannot technically operate inside of the country. However, a network of affiliate groups that “support” the MEK have operated with relative impunity to lobby Congress and to organize a public pressure campaign to remove the group from the terror list. A number of former U.S. officials who have received payment to advocate for the MEK have been subpoenaed as part of a federal investigation into the MEK’s U.S. operations.

Senator Blunt recently sponsored and participated in a pro-MEK event on Capitol Hill in May, organized by the Missouri group. The briefing featured many of the same former government officials now under federal investigation.

While the MEK’s public efforts have focused largely on pressuring the Obama Administration to remove the group from the terror list, the MEK is also apparently taking a more public role in working to influence U.S. policy regarding the Iranian nuclear dispute.

U.S. officials have also stated that the MEK, working with the Israeli Mossad, is responsible for the recent bombings inside Iran aimed at nuclear scientists.

While the MEK’s terror designation and federal investigations has not curtailed the group’s influence on Capitol Hill, there are indications that the organization has become emboldened by a recent U.S. court decision initiated by its supporters. The court ruled that Secretary of State has until October 1 to decide whether to keep the MEK on the terror list. If Secretary Clinton does not render a decision, the court says it will remove the group itself.

That has prompted the MEK to renege on a deal with U.S. and international negotiators to peacefully relocate out of its disputed Camp Ashraf compound in Iraq, where the group is based. The State Department had suggested the MEK’s cooperation in relocating would weigh heavily on any decision regarding the group’s terror listing. The MEK had finally appeared to accept the terms for relocation, but following the recent court ruling has reportedly stonewalled the process.

U.S. officials say they are concerned that, if MEK does not leave the compound, the Iraqi military will attempt to remove the group by force. U.S. officials have said they are concerned the MEK believes it can now play out the clock and get removed from the terror list without cooperating at Camp Ashraf. The MEK is believed to want to retain the compound to stage attacks inside of Iran and to protect its leadership from prosecution, and has threatened mass suicides by its rank and file members if forced to leave the compound.

The United States remains concerned about the situation at Camp Ashraf and urges the residents of Camp Ashraf to resume full cooperation immediately with the Iraqi Government and United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI). The United States also urges the Iraqi Government to intensify its efforts to fulfill its commitments to provide for the safety, security, and humanitarian treatment of the residents.

With almost 2,000 former Camp Ashraf residents now relocated to Camp Hurriya, the peaceful closure of Camp Ashraf is achievable, but requires continued patience and practical engagement to be realized. Constructive offers must be met with a constructive spirit, and not with refusals or preconditions to engage in dialogue. Recent publicly-declared conditions for cooperation, including calls for the Department to inspect Camp Ashraf as a precondition for further relocations to Camp Hurriya, are an unnecessary distraction.

The United States has made clear that cooperation in the closure of Camp Ashraf, the Mujahedin-e Khalq’s (MEK’s) main paramilitary base, is a key factor in determining whether the organization remains invested in its violent past or is committed to leaving that past behind. We fully support the path laid out by the United Nations for the peaceful closure of Camp Ashraf along with sustainable solutions for its former residents. The Camp residents and their leadership – both in Iraq and in Paris – should recognize this path as a safe and humane resolution to this situation. Only a peaceful implementation of the Iraqi government’s decision to close the Camp is acceptable, and the Iraqi government bears the responsibility for the security and humane treatment of the individuals at Camp Ashraf.
