Iran: Mousavi’s Nephew Assassinated by MKO

Iran announced on Wednesday that the anti-Iran terrorist group, the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), was responsible for the Sunday attack on the slain nephew of the defeated presidential candidate, Mir-Hossein Mousavi.

"We have no doubt that Monafeqin (the Hypocrites, as MKO is referred to in Iran) has been involved in this issue," Iranian Intelligence Minister Heidar Moslehi told reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting here in Tehran today.

The MKO has been blacklisted as a terrorist organization by many international organizations and countries including the United States.

The terrorist group targeted Iranian government officials and civilians in Iran and abroad in the early 1980s. The group also attempted an unsuccessful invasion of Iran in the last days of the Iraq-Iran war in 1988.

Moslehi reiterated that investigations into the case are still underway, and assured that the country’s authorities will pursue the case to the end.

Meantime, the intelligence minister dismissed the reports that Seyed Ali Mousavi, the son of Mir-Hossein’s sister, was killed during the Sunday frenzy in Tehran.

"The incident has happened in the form of a terror attack and in a place other than the area of the unrests," he added.

A group of opposition supporters on Sunday took advantage of the highly revered religious day of Ashoura – the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Shiite Muslims’ third Imam – to chant slogans against top Iranian government officials.

Meantime, tens of millions of Iranians were on the streets on Sunday to take part in annual massive processions across the country to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hossein (AS).

Clashes began after demonstrators started clapping and showing happiness, insulting the mourning people who were also in the streets to commemorate Imam Hossein’s martyrdom anniversary.

Tehran’s police headquarters announced that eight people were killed in clashes, but meantime underlined that the police forces neither used violence nor fired a single bullet on Sunday.

No excuse can acquit MKO of violence and terrorism

In a part of a rather long article related to the US open meddling in Iran affairs published under the title of The New York Crimes: All The Lies That Fit to Print, the author, Nima Shirazi, directs attention to the Bush administration’s attempts to exploit MKO in its belligerent gesture against the Iranian regime. The argument starts by quoting The Sunday Telegraph when it corroborated the information that Mr. Bush had signed an official document endorsing CIA plans for propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilize, and eventually topple, the Iranian regime.

It is also well-known that, a year later, the Bush administration was granted $400 million with which to further destabilize Iran via, as the Washington Post reported at the time "activities ranging from spying on Iran’s nuclear program to supporting rebel groups opposed to the country’s ruling clerics…" The rebel groups supported by such funding and training include, according to both Counterpunch’s Andrew Cockburn and the New Yorker’s Seymour Hersh, the militant Sunni group Jundullah, or "army of god," and the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK or PMOI), which maintains an "enduring position on the State Department’s list of terrorist groups."

"U.S. relationship with Jundullah is arranged so that the U.S. provides no funding to the group, which would require an official presidential order or "finding" as well as congressional oversight. The money for Jundullah was funneled to its leader, Abdelmalek Rigi, through Iranian exiles who have connections with European and Gulf states."

These connected Iranian exiles are members of the MEK, the Iranian opposition network that, in 1981, assassinated about 70 high ranking Iranian officials including cabinet members, elected parliamentarians, and the new Chief Justice when it bombed state headquarters. After the Iranian Revolution, the group moved its headquarters to Iraq and was supported by Saddam Hussein during the eight-year Iran-Iraq War that claimed the lives of over a million people. The MEK also claims responsibility for informing the United States and its allies about Iran’s supposed nuclear weapons program, for which no verifiable evidence has ever been found.

On December 15, 2009, Texas Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee addressed Congress regarding that fate of MEK exiles currently living in Camp Ashraf in Iraq. The Congresswoman pleaded for the Obama administration to "save" the "Iranian dissidents [who] are now huddled [at Camp Ashraf], fearful for their lives." She claimed that the Iraqi government, which is now tasked with guarding the camp after US forces recently handed over control, had put the exiles "at risk of arbitrary arrest, torture or other forms of ill treatment and unlawful killing," and described the MEK – which, again, is designated as a terrorist group by the US State Department – as "dissidents who simply want to live in peace and alone." Apparently, Ms. Jackson-Lee saw nothing wrong with begging the United States to support terrorists, as long as those terrorists have the goal of toppling the Iranian government.

Plus, just last week, Iranian Intelligence Ministry announced that a number of MEK members have been arrested for violent activity and destruction of public and private property at recent anti-government protests in Tehran.

But the question concerning MKO seems to have vexed a Mr. Alex George who in response to Mr. Shirazi’s comments on the terrorist group tries to contradict Mr. Shirazi who does not hesitate to give due responses to him. The followings are the responses in order.

It is strange indeed that when it comes to the main Iranian opposition group, the MEK, the writer is parroting the misinformation put out by the notorious Iranian ministry of intelligence and security. Whose side are you on Mr. Shirazi, any way?

It is common knowledge that the terror label on the MEK was a failed attempt by the Clinton Administration to placate the real terrorists, the turbaned tyrants of Iran. While the top counterterrorism official in the State Department pushed for the MEK’s removal from the list in November 2009, Condoleezza Rice overruled him because she was more interested in opening up an interest section in Iran on the advise of discredited Iran appeasers in Washington, DC.

There is absolutely no factual, legal and moral justification for keeping the ban on the MEK, which acts as the catalyst for change in Iran. Whether the author and his likeminded apologists for Tehran like it or not, the slogans chanted in the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities today are the ones espoused and disseminated for three decades by the MEK.

Indeed, the millions in Iran want to see this regime go, as does the MEK. In a free Iran, Mr. Shirazi and those who for 30 years did the mullahs’ bidding have a lot to answer for. The Iranian people do not forget their friends, nor do they forget their enemies.

Thank you for your close reading of my article, Mr. George, and for your response.

I do, however, beg to differ with you about the MEK’s noble aspirations. I too have a big problem with the US State Department’s determination of what and what is not a "terrorist organization" and it is obvious that most designations are made for political reasons. Just look at Hamas and Hezbollah, for example. Clearly, the fact that Nelson Mandela and other former ANC members were only removed from the US terrorism watch list in July of 2008 speaks volumes as to how absurd the whole thing is in general. That said, the point I make in my article is that the MEK, which is designated as a terrorist group (a label the EU dropped a year ago) and funded by the US – in part by the US government via covert channels and also by the large and wealthy Iran monarchist contingent in Los Angeles and elsewhere – is treated by members of Congress when it suits their agenda as simply a "dissident group" that stands in opposition to the Iranian government. It seems that certain "terrorist groups" are better than others, according to Washington DC…the groups that fight against US and Israeli hegemony and occupation in their own countries are evil monsters, but the groups that fight to overthrow governments that don’t bow down to US domination are to be supported.

You say that there is "absolutely no factual, legal, and moral justification for the ban on the MEK, which acts as the catalyst for change in Iran." I, too, hope for change in Iran. I am no fan of any sort of theocracy – even one with strong republican elements – and I would very much like to see Iran’s human rights record improve, just as I have hopes for the United States government to improve its own. But I wonder how your claims square with the evidence of MEK responsibility for the 1992 near-simultaneous attacks on Iranian embassies and institutions in thirteen countries, the 1998 assassination of the director of Iran’s prison system, Asadollah Lajevardi, the 1999 assassination of the deputy chief of Iran’s armed forces general staff, Ali Sayyad Shirazi, the February 2000 “Operation Great Bahman,” during which MEK launched twelve attacks against Iran, the 2000 mortar attack on President Mohammed Khatami’s palace in Tehran, and the series of mortar attacks and hit-and-run raids during 2000 and 2001 against Iranian government buildings, one of which killed Iran’s chief of staff. Human Rights Watch has also accused the group of perpetrating serious human rights abuses, including torture, at a number of secret prison camps.

Furthermore, the MEK’s funding by and support of Saddam Hussein during the eight-year war against Iran is unconscionable. During the war, the MEK launched suicidal, mass wave attacks against Iranian forces. The MEK’s siding with the Iraqi regime is widely seen as undermining their credibility among the Iranian public and, as Newsweek reported just days after the June election, the MEK "enjoy[s] very little popular support inside Iran, yet in their propaganda they have been claiming that the protestors are out in the streets in support of their cause."

It appears you have bought into this very propaganda yourself when you state that "the slogans chanted in the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities today are the ones espoused and disseminated for three decades by the MEK." You seem to forget that the Iranian opposition movement chants include "Allah O Akbar!" – God is Great – along with "Peace be upon the prophet Mohammad and his family!" and "Ya Hossein!," all deeply religious phrases which prove that the dissident movement in Iran is not a "secular revolution," as you and the MEK perhaps hope, but rather has strong undercurrent of religiosity like most aspects of Iranian culture.

Are you unaware that the color green, which has been appropriated by the opposition movement and seen by Western commentators and casual observers as the bucolic color of progress, environmentalism, clean energy, rebirth, and renewal, is also the color of Islam? Iranians are well aware of the symbolism of wearing green. Green is one of Iran’s national colors, not some chromatic infiltration of kaleidoscopic revolt.

Opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi has written to his supporters, "Let’s not abandon the green color which is a symbol of spirituality, freedom and religious mentality and moderateness and the Allah O Akbar slogan that tells us of revolutionary roots…This is the color and slogan that is still unifying our nation and will be the best measure to connect our hearts and needs." Mousavi has also declared that "We, as those who are loyal to the Islamic Republic and its constitutional laws, consider the Holy Jurisdiction one of the fundamentals of this regime and follow the political movements within legal frameworks." Even Mousavi’s wife, Zahra Rahnavard, a highly-regarded champion of women’s rights in Iran, has felt the need to remind a group of students that she and her husband still believe strongly in the ideals of the revolution and don’t regard anti-Islamic Revolution elements as their allies.

This all hardly sounds like a movement dedicated to the overthrow of the Iranian government, as the MEK would like. You say that "millions in Iran want to see this regime go," and this may be true, but in a country of 70 million people, you’d need many many millions of Iranians to back any sort of regime change movement for it to actually work. Meanwhile, a September poll taken by WorldPublicOpinion (WPO), a project of the highly respected Programme on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) of the University of Maryland, showed that about 80% of Iranians consider Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be the legitimately elected president of Iran and that nearly three out of four respondents expressed either "a lot" (38%) or "some confidence" (34%) in the Ministry of Interior, which ran the election. Additionally, 85% expressed either "a lot" (64%) or "some" (21%) confidence" in Ahmadinejad himself, 83% expressed "a lot" (52%) or "some" (31%) confidence in the police. 60% of those polled said they were comfortable with the extent of Ayatollah Khamenei’s power.

Now, I’m sure you will claim that these numbers can’t be trusted and that they are due to governmental intimidation. And yet, we’ve seen tens and hundreds of thousands of people in the streets of Iran who seem not to be intimidated or deterred by the government.

Also, for me to hear what the Iranian people want and what they "do not forget" from someone like you is pretty hilarious. Perhaps next time I speak to or visit my hundreds of family members (some of whom are staunch supporters of the opposition while some are not) in Tehran, Varamin, and Karaj, I’ll pass along what Alex George has told them they want and see how they respond. My guess is it’ll be something like, "Allah O Akbar!"

Thank you for your measured response.

Re the list of "terrorist" activities you have mentioned, several points are to be made:

1. The MEK has made no bones about the fact prior to 2001 it did carry out operations against ligitimate military targets, including for example a criminal like Gen. Ali Sayyad Shirazi, who publicly boasted of killing hundreds of MEK members during the group’s military incursion deep inside Iran in 1988 as well as the massacre of innocent people of Iranian Kurdistan in the early days after the Iranian revolution in 1979.
As for the "simultaneous attacks on Iranian embassies and institutions in thirteen countries," I refer you to the book, which I found quite persuasive and well-documented, "Democracy Betrayed." It is strange that in your mind, and of course, the State Department (since this allegation seems to be have been taken right out of its reports on the MEK). As for Asadollah Lajevardi, I assume you agree that he was notoriously known as Eichmann of Iran for personally murdering thousands of prisoners of conscience and raping or ordering the rape of many innocent girls because he and his likeminded mullahs did want to send virgins to heaven.

In your logic, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat, Col. Claus von Stauffenberg and the French patriots would all be terrorists. I am only reminded of the great American Statesman Thomas Jefferson, who said, ‘The tree of liberty must be replenished from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots.’ And I guess, for you as an Iranian, and a Muslim, I presume, there is no shortage of historical legends, such as Imam Hussein and the revolutionaries of the 1906 Constitutional Movement, the Jungle movement, etc.

But all of this is academic. The MEK rejected violence and terrorism in 2001 and voluntarily handed over its weapons, all 20,000 pieces of them, to the U.S. military. Its leadership announced its commitment to a UN-sponsored referendum of election on regime change. Moreover, after a thorough and exhaustive review of 15 volumes of evidence, the UK specialist Tribunal, POAC, and the English Court of Appeal said the terrorist desingation of the MEK was "perverse" because not only the open evidence, but also the classified evidence reinforced their view that the MEK is not engaged in terrorism and does not have the intent and the capacity to do so in the future.

Frankly, I do not ascribe to the mindset that once labeled a terrorist, always a terrorist.

As for the discredited HRW report, I refer you to a book by a European Parliamentary delegation that visited Camp Ashraf and investigated every single one of those allegations, which were hatched by Iranian intelligences services and rehashed by 12 people who had sold their services to Tehran.

Moreover, a 16-month investigation by seven different US agencies, including the FBI, the CIA, and the State Department into every single member of the MEK at Ashraf found nothing of the sort that HRW claimed. Last but not least, the author of that report was a board member of an ostensibly Iranian-American group that is well-known inside the beltway to be a lobby and a front for the Iranian regime.

Re the Green movement, I do not believe it would be worth my and your while to argue over its message or the significance of the color. During the Ashura uprising, it was clear that those who chanted "death to the principle of the velayat-e faqih" had gone far beyond Mr. Mousavi. And I suggest you watch Iranian state media in the past three days for they are lamenting that the millions in the streets of Iran were chanting the slogans of the MEK.

I could not agree with you more when you talk about the need for many millions to overturn this regime, Obviously, if the international community, the Europeans and the US, toughen up their stance against the regime, the Iranian people may feel heartened to become engaged even more than they have. I must admit, having been witness to the 1979 revolution as an undergraduate student at UCLA, that the scenes in the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities last Sunday had more than the markings of what happened 30 years ago.

The MEK is not after a theocracy. It has said it wants a republic based on the seperation of church and state. As for the "republican" support for the MEK, FYI, in a resolution currently in the House of Representatives, there are actually more democrats than republican signatories. And Ms. Jackson-Lee is considered a far-left representative.
Finally, I really believe that if the Iranian people had one reason to hate the Shah, they have a thousand reason to hate Khomeini and his disciples, including Khamenei and Ahmadinejad. Let us not kid ourselves with poll numbers. They only tell you what you want them to tell you.

Thanks for your response. I must clarify that when I spoke of "republicanism," I was referring to the political ideology of representative government, not about the Republican party. Your references are duly noted and I thank you for them. I thought I made clear that the MEK is a secular organization; I never suggested they wanted at theocracy, quite the contrary. Also, I made the point that a "terrorist" watch list is a silly thing in general, as evidenced by Nelson Mandela’s designation.

I also am not a Muslim. I am an atheist.

If the Iranian people wish to change their government, I hope they do. But that is not the same as supporting regime change from outside sources, especially those aligned heavily with both the US government (which has a grudge to settle) and pro-Shah monarchists. Iranians of all political affiliations have no affinity for foreign infiltration or manipulation. The people of Iran will decide their own fate and we don’t need to cultishly support the Rajavis for that to happen.

Human Rights in MKO’s Ideology – Part 3

In her message, Maryam Rajavi heightens hypocrisy to pretend her faith in Islam using the verses of holy Quran to justify their inhumane activities giving them an Islamic cover.
Maryam Rajavi speaks of Islamic kindness so enthusiastically that one may think she has never heard of violence and terror
The peak of such interpretation of Quran was the so-called ideological revolution when Massoud Rajavi was called as ideological leader.

The misuse of Islam, Imam Zaman [last Imam in Shiite Islam who is expected to return to salvage the world as well as Jesus] calling Rajavi as the ideological leader paves the way for Rajavi to view himself as the owner of people’s lives, wealth and spouses and to declare officially that all women in the organization are his own wives and other men are not allowed to even look at those women.

Despite above mentioned argument, Maryam Rajavi hypocritically resorts to Quran and speaks of Islam’s blessing and kindness. For those who have lived in Ashraf and witnessed the cult-like relations ruling the Camp, it is obvious to see a huge contradiction between Maryam’s words and activities. The terrorist, violent nature of the organization has never included kindness and blessing.

Maryam Rajavi speaks of Islamic kindness so enthusiastically that one may think she has never heard of violence and terror. You may not believe that she is able to order her members to commit terrorist activities. The following topics include some instances of Rajavi’s kindness and affection!

– Assassination of Iranian citizens before the eyes of their families.
– Torture against dissident members of the cult who labeled as the spies of IRI under the direct order of Massoud Rajavi.
– Opening fire on Captured Iranian soldiers who were detained after Eternal Light Operation.
– Firing Katyusha rockets on Kurdish towns of Iraq in Iraqi Intifada, in 1991,under the order of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.
– Taking Iraqi Kurds under MKO tanks in order to save their bullets for Iranian soldiers.
– Launching grenade attacks on residential areas in Iran killing innocent citizens in 2000 and 2001.

The self – assigned president elect of NCR has been waiting for the overthrow of Iranian regime and then her own presidency in Iran. She claims that she will recognize individuals’ freedom for women in future Iran and will respect women’s rights as well as human rights.”

It is fun to see the big difference between Maryam Rajavi’s claims and her divorce revolution where a large number of members were forced to divorce their spouses because Rajavi believes that family is the center of corruption and marriage is forbidden. There have been long years that no one has got married in MKO and all women are widows or divorces but engaged with Massoud Rajavi. This clear contradiction doesn’t prevent Mrs. Rajavi from claiming that she believes in equal right of divorce for women.

While she claims that any type of force or impose on women for their family life, is forbidden, Maryam Rajavi imposes the most serious forced separations on MKO families especially on those women who were in love with their husbands and had lived with them for a lot of years. So far a lot of women have gone depressed or psychological diseases due to the high pressure the organization imposed on them including Hamideh Kouzegar’s case which ended with her death.

The women in the cult of Rajavi are evenforced to bear hysterectomy operations, according to Batoul Soltani, former member of MKO’s leadership Council. She said that Nafiseh Badamchi (a doctor in MKO) was responsible to carry out the operation.

In the last part of her message, Maryam Rajavi forbids polygamy and promises to execute this law after her illusional rule on Iran!!! Apparently she forgets to confess that Massoud Rajavi now has more than 600 wives! (All women in leadership Council).

As Batoul Soltani describes in her memoirs “ they told us that we were all Massoud’s wives and he was our husband … there was a meeting held in Leadership Council where a marriage certificate was introduced for each member of the council and so all women became Massoud’s ideological wives.”

The above mentioned instances reveal just a small part of Rajavi’s deceitful personality who tends to deceive western politicians under the cover of pro-democracy slogans.

Iraq: Camp closure a preliminary measure to end MKO existence

Baghdad Al-Iraqiyah Television in Arabic at 1158 gmt on 16 December carries a 52-minute live or recorded news conference by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki at the Council of Ministers’ Press Centre in Baghdad;

… Answering a question to the effect that some news agencies and space channels carried "conflicting" statements by the prime minister and the government’s official spokesman on the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization, whether this organization will "be moved to the outskirts of Baghdad or to outside Baghdad, and whether this is a prelude to moving it outside the country," Al-Maliki says: "This organization has a bad history in Iraq. It has committed crimes against the Iraqis. The former regime has used it as a security agency. It has committed massacres during Friday prayers in Kifri and Kalar against the Kurds. In the records of many of the world states, it is accused as a terrorist organization. Based on our constitution, policy, and approach, we will never turn Iraq into a headquarters or a passageway for any terrorist organization."

He adds: "Our policy and constitution do not allow us to host any side that causes a crisis with any state in the world. Therefore, we have prevented many sides, which sought to use Iraq as a springboard against Arab states, and we told them that we would never allow this. Based on these introductions, background, and history, and out of protecting Iraq’s unity, security, and sovereignty, this organization has no place in Iraq. These are only preliminary measures to end their existence. We spoke with the world states and told them that we welcome anyone who wants to host them. We will not force this organization to return to Iran or to extradite it to it, but we will not allow an organization, which is accused of terrorism, to stay in Iraq. I do not think there was any contradiction in statements. Moving them from this camp is a prelude to moving them to outside Iraq and to any state that would accept them, or perhaps if they benefit from any pardon, which the Iranian Government would offer them." …

Iraqi prime minister holds news conference on security situation, elections
At the outset of the news conference, Al-Maliki makes a statement, in which he says: "Iraq is witnessing intensive action these days. [Words missing because of interruption in the link] the criminal acts, which the elements of Al-Qa’idah and the Ba’th Party have carried out. The goals, which these sides want to achieve in Iraq, are clear. They want to obstruct the elections, disrupt the political and democratic process, and make the Iraqis feel that the experience has failed, and therefore, they have to search for an alternative. Their proposed alternative is the Ba’thist alternative or the extremist sectarian alternative by Al-Qa’idah. They also want to take Iraq backward. These plans and schemes are not conceived on the spur of the moment, but they have existed from the very beginning. They have promised their supporters time and again that they will achieve their goals through the return of the buried regime and by foiling the democratic experience. The will of the Iraqi people and the good political forces, however, was firm and strong. It has faced huge challenges and has overcome them."

Al-Maliki then reviews the security situation over the past years, and explains how Baghdad "was isolated" from the other governorates and the neighbouring states. He adds: "The result, however, providing you are witnesses to this and the whole world can see how Iraq switched from missing security to a security situation in which the citizens move freely. The people now go out during festivals and occasions and for visits. The streets are now crowded with cars and movement. This indicates a healthy situation. This also shows that Iraq has restored its normal situation on the political, regional, and international levels, and has quickly taken advanced positions. This is represented in the international companies’ arrival in Iraq. These companies would not have come to Iraq had there not been security, which helps the investment process. Definitely, this was not achieved spontaneously or by luck, but it was achieved based on planning and a drawn security strategy and not as some sides regrettably say. I hope that the security process will be viewed in a realistic way to the effect that what was achieved was the outcome of a policy, a carefully planned policy, which moved in steps.

"These steps began with the Law Enforcement Plan in Baghdad. They then extended to the other areas. Baghdad then was divided into sectors to deploy military units in these sectors. This was also accompanied by the national reconciliation process in order to create an incubator for the security agencies to help them accomplish their big tasks and face the serious challenges. Thus, this strategy included a host of measures. I regret to hear or read that some sides say that there is no security strategy or a security philosophy in Iraq. I ask these sides how security was achieved in a way, which allowed you to move freely in the street?"

Al-Maliki says: "When the enemy is immoral, trained, and supported, such robberies take place and some security agencies might be inattentive. However, when we compare this to the size of challenge that Iraq has faced and to the unlimited support and the capabilities, which the terrorists inherited from the buried regime, we will realize that it is only natural that such incidents, which we do not accept, take place. We are pained by the shedding of any drop of the blood of any innocent Iraqi citizen in any area in Iraq. However, this is a battle with sides, which have no morals or values. These sides are indulged in the hope of returning through gates of blood or by creating such atmospheres. To stick a bomb to a citizen’s car or park a boobytrapped car in a public square has nothing to do with manhood. This is our enemy. When it is so fierce and immoral, such acts take place. This is what they call a breached security."

He adds: "Thanks to the zeal of the men and fighters of the sons of the Armed Forces, police, security forces, and citizens, Al-Fadl area was reopened, the Haifa Street is restored, Al-Ghazaliyah has returned, and the situation in all Baghdad areas has returned to normal. The displaced people have also returned home. This is the main element and the main axis in the security strategy, which has been achieved."

He says: "After terrorism and the terrorists have become unable to occupy one inch of the land of Iraq to establish camps, prisons, training centres on it, and education and cultural centres, which advocate rancour, sectarianism, and hatred, we have become in front of a new development. The previous course will continue. The strategy does not change completely, as those who are ignorant of the security process, say. The strategy will remain there; the military, police, and army forces will continue to be there; the checkpoints will remain there; and pursuits and storming campaigns will continue. However, there is a constant part in the strategy and the plan and there is a moving part. We began to reactivate the moving part of the strategic military plan, which is based on the security and intelligence effort, by forming a joint coordination committee for the security and intelligence agencies, by reactivating the citizens’ role, and by reactivating the security directorates and institutions at the security ministries. This is because terrorism has now remained as hidden elements and cells, which require information to arrest them and fill prisons of them same as the streets were full of them when they used to resist the police and the army. Therefore, this is the moving part of the strategic theory, which all sides should understand."

Al-Maliki adds: "There have been painful blows to the Al-Qa’idah and Ba’th Party organizations. However, their internal instructions prevented their supporters from talking about these blows and arrests, which are continuing, and which will continue until we exhaust all their efforts. Regrettably, however, breaches will continue here and there. We hope that the relationship between the citizens and the security agencies will be promoted significantly in order to achieve the required goals. The Council of Ministers yesterday made decisions, which include giving a grant and a gift to anyone who guides to a boobytrapped car. The value of the grant and the gift totals 100 million dinars.

"These are some of the measures, and there are other measures. Here, however, I would like to speak clearly and frankly and say that the security work, plans, strategies, and any piece of information related to security are not allowed to anyone who wants to speak about this issue. The thing, which the states care for more than anything else, is their military and security secrets."

He says: "Battles erupt among states when someone attempts to breach the military establishment to obtain some information. However, very regrettably, at this stage, and frankly, for some reasons and political and election propaganda purposes, the security information was seized. Thus, this has rendered a great service to the enemy to the effect that it now has information about numbers, plans, funds, problems, weakness, and strength. It exploits the weakness and knows how to evade strength. This has happened. It is regrettable and painful. The whole world is now astonished at how the Iraqis talk about their security and security institutions in this way, which is open to the media."

Al-Maliki says that the Council of Representatives "has the right to summon and interrogate" others. However, he adds, the objective is to "reach results and not to divulge secrets." He says: "Regarding the security aspect in particular, the Security and Defence Committee [of the Council of Representative] should be the side that assumes this responsibility. It should meet with the security officials to discuss with them plans and methods and reach agreements with them away from the media. This is because the media should not talk about security. Regrettable, this has become one of the main issues in the news media and the space channels, even the Iraqi media. They now host this and that, and the politicians, both those who have something to do and those have not anything to do with the process. They speak, defame, divulge what they know, and confuse the Iraqi citizen. I call on the Iraqi citizen to trust the security and military agencies. This effort is continuing and escalating. Despite the fact that the challenge is big and serious, there will be no retreat. We will never reach a situation in which we have a missing security, as some sides say, but what we talk about here are terrorist cells and about how we should eliminate them through cooperation and openness between the security agencies and citizens.
"I also tell all partners in the political process, as I have previously said, that they should not be indifferent to this issue. You can talk about any issue, economy, agriculture, industry, and education. However, you should be cautious when you talk about security activity. You should recall how Iraq was, and how we used to reap the effects of the hateful sectarianism, which some state institutions used to feed, and how people were beheaded in the streets. Do not belittle this issue. This is because, it will return, and if it returns, it will not benefit those who believe that through confusion, they can achieve victory or obtain a vote here and another there. Let us put the higher interests and the blood of Iraqi citizens above one-upmanship and elections. Compete with each other, providing competition is legitimate, but competition should not take place at the expense of the Iraqi blood and security, which, if was lost again, may God forbid, no one would benefit from this. What was achieved for the citizens, in terms of relaxation, joy, happiness, communication, and openness, would also be lost. Thus, all the political forces will be responsible for this if they do not live up to their responsibilities."

Al-Maliki calls on the citizens and the political forces to appreciate the "great achievements" of the police, security, and army forces. He adds that these "segments, which offered tens of thousands of martyrs to provide us with this security and life, should not be targeted."

He says: "I also address states and call on all of them to support Iraq, and not Iraq only, but all the states, which experience such crisis of fighting terrorism. These states should adopt a responsible position, just as all sides confront the dangers of epidemics, Swine Flu and other diseases. Terrorism is more dangerous than Swine Flu. All sides should do this. Some sides should not stand idly watching and other sides should not provide facilities to these [terrorist]."

He adds: "This is in order to pursue our path, strategy, and course. I insist on the carefully planned policy, which the world has admitted. To those who say that there is no strategy, I say that an institute for military academic studies has put the Iraqi experience on fighting terrorism with all its dimensions as one of its studies on the qualitative experience of confronting the fiercest form of terrorism in a new state, which emerged from dictatorship and entered into the presence of international forces, terrorist invasion, and elements affiliated with the buried regime."

Al-Maliki says: "Once again, brothers, I say, compete with each other and we will compete with you, but put security aside and put the Iraqis’ blood aside. Let the country achieve stability in order to arrive at the stage of reconstruction, building, services, stability, and relaxation, which the citizens should get. The Iraqis have become tired. Since 1980, they have been experiencing wars, adventures, occupation, terrorism, oppression, killing, Al-Anfal, chemical weapons, and mass graves. Let the Iraqis relax. Brothers, you should all live up to your responsibilities, media men and politicians. You should take this fact into consideration. This is because the result will not affect one party without the other, but it will affect the entire temple, which will collapse on those under it once again, as I have previously said. However, I stress that with the zeal of the sons of the Armed Forces, police, and the security forces, we will not allow this temple to collapse, and we will not allow anyone to destroy the temple once again, through which Iraq and the Iraqis have restored their honour. We will take measures to protect the achievements that have been made on the political, security, and economic levels and in all fields."

Concluding his statement, Al-Maliki adds: "I address my messages to all those who are concerned about Iraq, of the sons of the Armed Forces, citizens, political forces, and state institutions, and tell them to cooperate with us within this framework because it is a red line and tampering with it means tampering with the issues that are directly related to public interests and to the citizens’ life."

Al-Maliki then begins to take press questions.

Answering a question to the effect that some sides "confuse" the deteriorating security situation with the "breached security," and whether the security incidents "affect the withdrawal of the US forces based on the agreement" between the two sides, Al-Maliki says: "Breached security exists in the whole world, but on different levels. America, with all its superiority, means, and capabilities, its security was breached. It was breached in the Trade Centre towers and in other incidents. With all its powers, Russia’s security was breached a few days ago and more than 100 persons were killed. The security of all the region’s states was also breached. This includes all the neighbouring states without exception. I do not want to mention names so that it will not be said this is defamation against their security. All the neighbouring states’ security was breached. However, breaches have various dimensions and vary from one country to another. In Iraq, the citizen used to live in the quagmire of terrorism, and you are witnesses to what Iraq was. Therefore, the security breaches could be more than in other states in the region and the world. We work on this through intelligence activity and cooperation with the citizens to arrest these [terrorists] and to put them in prisons."

He adds: "As whether such incident would affect the [US forces’] withdrawal, I say no, not at all. Final arrangements have been made on withdrawal and based on clear timetables. You always hear us emphasize commitment to all clauses and timetables. The US side has always announced on the highest level that it is committed to the agreement and to withdrawal from Iraq."

Answering another question on the "moving part" of the security strategy, Al-Maliki says: "Regarding the moving part of the security strategy, I do not mean that we will begin to implement it, but we have begun to implement it since we received the security file on 30 June and the beginning of the implementation of the agreement on 1 January 2009. We have moved in this direction, and I do not want to mention the number of the terrorist cells, which have been arrested, thanks to the reactivation of the intelligence activity. Big cells and dangerous persons have been arrested. Furthermore, big crimes, which were committed in the past and whose perpetrators were not revealed, have now been revealed and the perpetrators were arrested."
Answering an indistinct question on "interference" by the neighbouring states, "specifically Syria," Al-Maliki says: "Yes, there is still interference. This is despite the fact that it should retreat, and it has retreated from many states, but it is still there by some states. We hope [it will retreat]. We play a role and hold contacts to convince the others and to tell them that you have no interest in sending weapons or giving a chance to killers and terrorists, who, if they can, they will turn against you once again."

Answering a question to the effect that some news agencies and space channels carried "conflicting" statements by the prime minister and the government’s official spokesman on the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization, whether this organization will "be moved to the outskirts of Baghdad or to outside Baghdad, and whether this is a prelude to moving it outside the country," Al-Maliki says: "This organization has a bad history in Iraq. It has committed crimes against the Iraqis. The former regime has used it as a security agency. It has committed massacres during Friday prayers in Kifri and Kalar against the Kurds. In the records of many of the world states, it is accused as a terrorist organization. Based on our constitution, policy, and approach, we will never turn Iraq into a headquarters or a passageway for any terrorist organization."

Answering a question on his coming visit to Egypt, and whether "this time around" he will go to "persuade Egypt to play a role in persuading some neighbouring states to stop financing some terrorist sides and entering boobytrapped cars," and whether "you will give an olive branch and receive boobytrapped cars," Al-Maliki says: "I do not think Egypt is a party to this operation."
The reporter says: "I do not mean Egypt specifically."

Al-Maliki says: "As for the visit, you are aware of Egypt’s weight, role, and status among Arab states. Relations between Egypt and Iraq and the Egyptian and Iraqi peoples are good and deep-rooted. These relations have made great steps after the arrival a delegation of business and companies, led by the Egyptian investment minister. Some 80 companies have come to Iraq, held conferences, and acquainted themselves of the situation." He then speaks about his previous visits and those of Iraqi officials to Egypt and the joint committee that was formed between the two countries to develop relations in various fields.

Al-Maliki adds: "My visit is to entrench and promote these relations and to reactivate the agreements, which were signed between Egypt and Iraq. This is because we very much want to have strong and developed relations that could serve as an example of relations among Arab states."

On whether there are "differences" between the prime minister and Interior Minister Jawad al-Bulani, and on Al-Maliki’s opinion about the "performance" of the interior minister, Al-Maliki says that under a democratic and national unity government, dialogue or different viewpoints between two persons should not be interpreted as "confrontation." He says: "The relationship between me and the interior minister is a good and brotherly relationship. The man listens and cooperates." He adds: "I can assure you that the prime minister’s relationship with all other ministers is good."
A reporter asks the following question: "Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mu’allim made a statement, through which he sounded triumphant because Iraq does not have evidence on Syria’s interference in Iraq. Does this mean that the US envoy has not obtained concrete evidence from the Iraqi side on the Syrian interference?"

Answering this question, Al-Maliki says that Iraq has provided "concrete evidence." He adds: "However, this is a natural policy. Everyone defends himself through denial. To complete my answer to your question, I say that we do not want bad relations with Syria. We do not want to make lies against Syria because we have no interest in this. We do not pursue the policy of blaming other states. We talk about facts and we pursued a policy of improving our relations with Syria, Jordan, Iran, Turkey, and all other states in order to eliminate any differences or disagreement that this issue could create. Any statement we make is not because we like to strain any relations with any other state, but this is in defence of the Iraqi blood and right. The other side should understand this. I hope that the other side will put himself in the place of the Iraqis. If what is happening in Iraq happens in a neighbouring state, in terms of killing, bombings, and terrorism, providing that they knew that a certain person has passed through Iraq and that we did not cooperate with this person, establish a camp for him, train him, or arm him, but he has just passed from here and gone to them, what would they say? Definitely, they will hold us responsible. This is the norm among states. Therefore, how would it be if this involves camps, training, and media, which speak openly, and statements on all levels? It is only natural that we have the right to defend our people’s interests."

Answering a question that after every bombing, some Iraqi politicians "hasten" to blame the security forces and the government, Al-Maliki says that "tragedies" should unite all sides. He adds: "The problem today, however, is that we are heading to the elections. Therefore, they believe that they would be supporting the government’s electoral position if they unite with it. Very regrettably, the elections constitute a part of the relationship among the political forces. Therefore, this is a strange thing. I have addressed my message to all brothers in all political entities to unite to face the challenge."

He says: "If some sides, which are still playing a role, in any way, in supporting terrorism, we will not stop talking about this then. In fact, we will take the necessary measures and not talking only. We do not talk about issues only, but we take the appropriate measures to deter all those who tamper with the security of Iraq and its citizens."

Lina Abd-al-Jabbar, from the Jordanian newspaper Al-Dustur asks: "We know that Saudi Arabia is the only state, which you have not visited continuously. There is a talk about political barriers. When will Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki break this barrier?" Answering this question, Al-Maliki says: "When Saudi Arabia welcomes good relations with Iraq we will break the [barrier] once again. I have broken it at the beginning and I will break it again if Saudi Arabia wants so."

Answering a question on whether the "security breaches are aimed at preventing the current government from assuming power in Iraq once again," Al-Maliki says: "Democracy is the target, the political process is the target, and everyone in this political process is targeted. Preventing this government [from assuming power once again] is the goal, foiling democracy is a goal, and foiling media and political freedoms is a goal. The entire political process is targeted." He adds: "The elections will inevitably take place on the set date no matter how much efforts the terrorists will make to obstruct them." He says that we will spare no effort to prevent anything that would obstruct the elections, "taking into consideration that the real battle between us and the [terrorists] is the holding of the elections, and therefore, I hope that the citizens, political forces, and security agencies will pool their efforts to hold the elections because this will deal a blow to the heart of all those who reject democracy and the political process in the country."

Answering a question on whether any of the "political sides or parties that participate in the political process are involved in supporting the terrorist groups during the recent bombings," Al-Maliki says: "No, not in the recent bombings. However, you know that when sectarianism was at its peak, and when everyone used to call for supporting his sect and group, many sides were involved. They should have not spoken about sectarianism in the first place. As for the recent incidents, we do not have any information about the involvement of any political entity or side. This is the positive thing here; namely, that such operations are only carried out by the terrorists and the Ba’thists. We are talking about what happened in the past. God willing, this will not return because this was one of the prerequisites of sectarianism and tension. All sides believed that some sides can twist the arm of the other side, but all sides realized that no one can twist the other side’s arm because Iraq is the loser, and that Iraq and all Iraqis will succeed when all sides unite."

MKO attacks reporters prior to covering Ashraf relocate

Reporters preparing to cover the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) members’ relocate from Camp Ashraf were attacked today in Baghdad.

The blast was one of the three car bombs killing at least 4 people, Habilian Association (families of terror victims) website quoted the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) as reporting.

Upon a call from the Iraqi government, the reporters were going to go to Camp Ashraf to cover the MKO’s relocate to Baghdad. The blast at least wounded a reporter who was waiting with colleagues at Baghdad’s Green Zone to move to the camp. Another car bomb was blasted in a car park opposite to the Iranian embassy in Baghdad.

The Iraqi government had vowed to relocate the MKO from Camp Ashraf to Bghdad on Tuesday.
The MKO terrorists had threatened the Iraqi government to resist the security forces upon their entering Camp Ashraf.

Washington backed MKO death threat for Iraqi network head

The Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), an anti-Iran terrorist group based in Iraq, has threatened to assassinate the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Hassan Salman.

The Board of Trustees has decided to take legal action against the MKO in an Iraqi court, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the IMN Board of Trustees has shown unanimous support for Salman. They urged the network’s legal department to take the threat seriously and file a lawsuit against the terrorist cult.

Salman has been an outspoken critic of the MKO, often airing his views openly on Iraqi television live broadcasts.

The MKO terrorists are especially notorious for taking sides with former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war.

The group masterminded a slew of terrorist operations in Iran and Iraq — one of which was the 1981 bombing of the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party, in which 72 Iranian senior officials were killed.

Thousands of MKO members are now illegally residing in Iraq’s Camp Ashraf.

“Iran: A Victim of Terrorism”in Tehran Polytechnic University

"Iran: A Victim of Terrorism" exhibition was held by Habilain Association (families of Iranian terror victims) in Amir Kabir University of Technology (formerly known as Tehran Polytechnic University).
In order to introduce the crimes and terror efforts of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) to the Iranian young generation, full documents on the MKO’s crimes both in Iran and Iraq were on show at the exhibition, Habilian website reported.

Through various books, posters and videos, the exhibition sought to present shocking documents on the MKO’s terror efforts and its ideological and behavioural deviations. The students were introduced to new dimensions of the MKO’s crimes through classified posters on the cult’s background, intra-cult relationships, assisting Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war, its crimes against Iraqi people, the cult’s propagation and fundraising tricks and some of Iranian figures assassinated by the MKO.

The exhibition also included cartoons on various dimensions of the cult’s crimes.

Recorded by Habilian Association, a full list of 16403 Iranian terror victims ,over 12000 of whom assassinated by the MKO, was also on show at the exhibition. It aroused an increasing sense of hatred of the cult among the visitors who came to know many people assassinated by the MKO were civilians.

The exhibition also revealed the cult’s lies on Tehran Polytechnic University. News of a debate between two Iranian politicians at the university a month ago appeared as an uprising by the students on MKO’s websites. Interestingly enough, the debate began several minutes after the cult’s websites revealed the news!

As in several other universities, "Iran: A Victim of Terrorism" was highly welcomed by teachers, students and the staff of Tehran Polytechnic University. This led to the MKO terrorists’ excessive anger as they failed to prevent the students to bury five anonymous martyrs in the same university just a few months ago.

The following are only a few comments by many visitors who signed the exhibition’s guestbook:
•Excellent, helpful and influential. I feel this should be done in a broader sense for all groups of the society especially the youths.

•I have never believed in many Islamic teachings, however I will never forget the MKO’s obvious crimes, just the same as no one can forget Hitler’s. I hope the world is filled with eternal peace on day.

•I was so influenced by the exhibition when I remembered my own friends martyred by the MKO.

•Thank you very much for your efforts. The Supreme Leader’s comments on the enemies’ "soft war" necessitate exploring the MKO’s role in this regard.

•Quite informative! I never imagined that the MKO had done so many bad to us. Woe to the West that removed it from the terror list.

Preparedness for suicide, a prerequisite for MKO operations

Sahar Family Foundation: Let’s continue with the suicide operations carried out following the In general, any thought of compromise was a taboo within MKO; there was no alternate but to kill or be killed. inauguration of a new phase, ‘operations of ultimate’, since the organization began a successive launch of operation in this phase mainly stressing on a strike and escape tactic. Please furnish further explanation in this respect.

Batool Soltani: You know, before the beginning of the mentioned phase which began with the end of Iraq-Iran war, in years after 1987 the organization would dispatch its military teams across the Iranian borders, of course supported by Iraqi forces, for hit and run operations. Then it became bold to carry out bigger operations like that of Aftab, Chelcheragh, and Eternal Light as the last. Soon after the ceasefire, the organization began masterminding ‘operations of ultimate’; the best instances of these operations that ceased just before fall of Saddam are assassination of Sayyad Shirazi, Lajevardi, and widespread mortar attacks. Remarkable in these operations was the score of casualties from among the civilians. I remember that the family of the victims filled complains against the organization in international courts and the organization tried to acquit itself of the charges.

But your concern in these operations is where they tie with the suicide operation. The first important thing about the members of the teams dispatched for the operations was their readiness to venture their life. In fact, they had to prove their readiness to commit suicide to stymie the risk of being arrested alive. Unlike other overt military operations, they were covert operations that had a red-line to consider and no concrete evidence had to be left by the teams to be used against the organization. As a matter of fact, the teams had to pass a test to ensure they would not fail to observe the delineated red-line.

In contrast to regular military operations that the forces had the chance of retreating to their bases back into Iraq, in these operations that the teams penetrated deep into the Iranian soil the risk of capture was very high and retreat was actually impossible if they happened to be traced. The red-line to observe was to frustrate the hope of the regime’s forces to capture teams alive by committing suicide through swallowing cyanides or any other possible means at hand. Thus, the perquisite for the dispatched teams was the degree of their preparedness for committing suicide and they were supposed martyrs before setting off for the operations.

The means of suicide had to be necessarily checked as the first priorities along with other weapons needed for the operations. They were cyanides, hand-grenades, and guns and the teams received special trainings to use them in critical situations. Of course, they received other psychological and security trainings to counteract after-arrest tortures and pressures if they failed to commit suicide and fell into the hands of the regime’s forces. In general, any thought of compromise was a taboo; there was no alternate but to kill or be killed.

They in the organization would say the arrested members had to suffer under the tortures which were one hundred times worse than being killed for once since one might fail to tolerate pressures and would surrender which was equal to an attached stigma. Then they would bring examples of those who had easily assented to cooperate with the regime to be relieved of sufferings and tortures. Thus, the teams became resolute to commit suicide when facing a serious situation that increased the risk of arrest and even the team-mates had orders of killing each other when they would reach an impasse to escape. Here, it was not important who was at the charge, regardless of any organizational ranking, any member of the team had the responsibility of judging the right time for the action, to kill himself/herself or the other mates.

SFF: How long did it take to prepare a member for the operations? Your reference to the nature of trainings indicates that it could take a longer process than the ordinary ones to prepare them.

BS: Naturally, the operation teams were different. One of the factors they deemed necessary for the ‘operations of ultimate’ was not to select the team members from among the old members. Second, the team members had to have nursed a grudge and hatred against the target/s they were dispatched to hit. In fact, the feelings that rose within them had to be spurred on by sheer personal hatred of the targets and thus, the competency and organizational ranking had the second priority. Such motivated teams were much trusted for committing suicide and I can tell you that the one they chose for the assassination of Lajevardi had hardly finished his two years of preliminary training to be accepted as a joined member and to become a veteran. What had motivated him from the very beginning to join the organization was his grudge against Lajevardi and eventually succeeded to convince the organization to be enlisted in the operation team dispatched for his assassination. In fact, the organization was thinking of exploiting new recruits who knew little and so could impart little if arrested alive.

That was one of the reasons behind the policy of replacing new recruits for the old, experienced members in the operation teams; the organization was reluctant to risk the life of the older members for the time and needed them for the influential role they could play. Besides, the confessions of these older members after their arrest could disclose what the organization strived to conceal from the lower ranks to stop them having a low opinion of the organization that could influentially affect their fighting morale.

SFF: What happened in the interim between the teams arrange and their departure?

BS: As soon as the teams were selected and arranged, the members would be lodged in isolation totally cut off from other members and received no more organizational information. In fact, they had no more contact with others and reached a zero point of no updated information. Second, they would form a new profile just like ordinary people with grown beards. There were other physical, medical and psychological tests as well as recurrently going through the details of their operation and practiced them. And then, they came to the stage of going over the methods of committing suicide; how to break and swallow cyanide capsules, use hand-grenades or guns.

They reached the mastery point when they did all things blindfolded. They also sat watching thriller and military movies that kept them morally high and motivated; the hostage-taking movies were appropriate training classes that instilled in them a working solution that could help them get out of the critical situations. Other trainings included the ways of smuggling the weapons and ammunition over the border and past the sensitive points and stations as well as drawing the outlines of camouflages that allowed them to advance without alerting the guards and police forces. One thing the organization insisted on even during the operations was regular confession sessions of cleansing; the teams had to arrange sessions among themselves regularly with the imbued belief that their success or failure all depended on the constancy of the organizational tradition.

SFF: What was the information they were kept away from while in isolation?

BS: From the time they were put in isolation, they would take part in no general meeting with the presence of Massoud and Maryam and no ranking member had the permission to contact them. As there was no new information, the old ones became outdated and thus, their latest information was limited to what they knew about four months ago. In fact, isolation washed their brains of any latest information that could be of any challenge to the organization if they happened to be arrested and talk.

“Iran: A Victim of Terrorism”in Mashhad

"Iran: A Victim of Terrorism" exhibition was held by Habilian Association (families of 16000 Iranian terror victims) in Mashhad, north east of Iran. Highly welcomed by the visitors, the exhibition was held in order for various groups of school teachers to become familiar with the background and crimes of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

As a sideline of the 1st regional course for political training teachers in Mashhad, Habilian Association held the exhibition in order to reveal the crimes of the MKO. The exhibition was highly welcomed by hundreds of school teachers from Sistan-Balouchestan, Kerman, Yazd, Golestan, Khorasan-e-Razavi, Khorasan-e-Shomali and Khorasan-e-Jonoubi provinces.

Documents on MKO crimes were on the show Documents on scandals of MKO leaders, forced divorces and violating women rights within the MKO, the cult’s tricks to attract Iranian youth, documents on MKO frauds, MKO’s vast assassination attempts against Iranian people, the cult’s contributions to Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq war against Iran as well as against Iraqi Shias and Kurds and documents on Iranian victims assassinated by the MKO were on show.

Several software and multimedia products on crimes of the MKO produced by Habilian Association were also introduced to the visitors. Showing documentaries on MKO crimes was also highly welcomed.

• Well done! Thank you very much for your great work. It reveals the crimes of terrorist groups to the youth. Please hold the exhibition in other cities if possible.

• Since protecting the Islamic Revolution necessitates holding such exhibitions, I suggest you to hold this in regions close to the frontier, where is more endangered by foreign agents.

• I was always wondering about terror attempts in the post-Revolution Iran and wishing to view a full collection of terrorist groups’ activities against Iran. Now I found my wish fulfilled. I think this should be held in other cities also.

• To me the exhibition was an innovation; that is I had never seen such a full-detailed and informative collection on crimes of the MKO. Thank you very much for all your efforts.

• Thank you very much for this. I suggest you to hold this in schools so that crimes of the MKO will be revealed to the Iranian young generation.
