MKO former members
On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 around noon, a group of Iranian residents in France gathered outside the courthouse in the square of St. Michael to deliver their protest against the terrorist Rajavi cult.
French Judges summoned the commanders of the Mojahedin to the courthouse to ask for explanations of the PMOI leaders on the issue of June 17, 2003 and other terrorist acts carried out by this organization on French territory and also in other European countries.
Habilian Foundation (families of Iranian terror victims) caught up with a former member of MEK leadership Council to talk about the terrorist Cult of Rajavi (also known as Mujahedin-e Khalq, 
MEK, and MKO) and her two decades of experience in the terrorist cult.
In the first part of this serialized interview, Batoul Soltani talks about the way she and her 3-month-old baby were transferred to Iraq and then she further discusses the MKO’s situation in the very first year of their arrival in Iraq. The following is a rough transcription of the interview.
Habilian: How the MKO members went to Iraq? Did they use legal ways? Did they have passport and visa or they went to Iraq illegally?
Soltani: In his dream to take power in Iran, Masoud Rajavi aligned with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein who was at war with Iran. He left France for Iraq in a bid to overwhelm Iran, and spent exorbitant amounts of cash to draw together his members, opponents, even the addicts and poor people from all walks of life in Iraq.
Having Saddam’s government as his supporter, Rajavi gathered troops in Iraq and in neighboring Iran by forging travel documents and making fake passports with huge sums of money given by Saddam Hussein to help him overthrow Iran and make himself the full owner of Iran’s soil. For instance, I and my husband have been transferred to Iraq by a fake Iraqi passport with names of Zahra and Abrahim.
We did not know then the ominous thoughts of them for us, and we did deem it a right way and thought that we would be able to go to a European country, such as France and to enjoy a free life and well-being. But after our arrival, (Rajavi) took all our (travel) documents and destroyed the bridges behind us in a bid to compel us to remain in Iraq and to follow his organizational orders.
Habilian: How many members were in MKO in the first years of its presence in Iraq? What was the total number of members in the last year of Saddam Hussein’s rule?
Soltani: Rajavi tried to take all the members to Iraq at all costs. The number of members in the great operations was 5000, 1000 of whom were killed in Forough Javidan (Mersad) operation.
In the last year of Saddam’s rule, Rajavi sent a group of members to France along with his third wife, Maryam Rajavi. A bunch of members escaped the Organization, and the remaining members were 3400 in the last year of Saddam’s reign.
Habilian: How was the Organization provided with Camp Ashraf? How the facilities and infrastructure constructed there?
Soltani: After the meeting of Rajavi with Tareq Aziz, the then Iraqi foreign minister, known as Peace Meeting, and in his meeting with Saddam, Masoud Rajavi was gifted with Ashraf Garrison and several other garrisons at Iran-Iraq borders and in the deserts on the frontiers which previously belonged to Saddam’s Army as well as some palaces inside Baghdad.
Ashraf Garrison known as Filq II was smaller than the present, so Rajavi said that he needed bigger land. Thus, Saddam confiscated the surrounding lands and handed them over to Rajavi.
Later, the land which was about 36 square kilometers were laid down barbed wire and tall guard towers were built inside it. Electrical wiring and strong floodlights were installed on the sides of the garrison.
A prison was built inside it and a round-the-clock patrol and security forces made there a big and isolated prison.
Habilian: Did the Organization underwrite the building garrison and providing facilities? How did the Organization fund them?
Soltani: It was seemingly the Organization that underwrote the projects, but they took all the money from Iraqi government en masse. Notably before the fall of Saddam Hussein, the Organization was provided with so much money that immediately after the downfall of Saddam Hussein members of the Organization tried to buy companies in Iraq.
The Organization took out as far as it could the wretched peoples’ assets, so that they could establish foreign investments companies.
Habilian: How did the Iraqi people treat MKO?
Soltani: Since Iraqi Kurds remembered the Organization’s alignment with Saddam’s army in suppression of their uprising, they hated MKO members, and the rest of Iraqi people saw us as the members of (Saddam’s) army and they hated and feared us.
We have been prohibited to have contacts with Iraqi people even at the time of Saddam Hussein.
The Organization tried to replace this hatred and fear to relation and friendship. So, Rajavi ordered large parties to be held and thousands of Iraqi people were invited to dinner or lunch.
He spent very huge amount of money in this way. He even managed to penetrate into Iraqi society by organizing roughly 500 Iraqis with big costs. He established an Iraqi militia, and held Persian language classes inside the Garrison and paid them money.
Habilian: How did the members saw the Iraqi imposed war on Iran and their cooperation with invading forces who assaulted their territory?
Soltani: Masoud Rajavi has spent thousands of hours convincing their presence in Iraq and cooperation with aggressive Saddam. In the first step he tried to pretend that it was Iran who invaded Iraq and he instead described Saddam Hussein as a civilized and good man. He has made an angel in our minds from Saddam who was a demon. Rajavi even white-washed Saddam’s bloody hands in the massacre of Kurds, and said that Kurds are our enemies and (Iranian) regime’s accomplices.
Everything was censored in Rajavi’s Organization and we had no access to media, news, or free world. For example, he said: “we seek peace in order to prevent the killing of people, though, this is Iran which put all of their lives at stake and we want to prevent the war to stop killing people,” thereby he legitimized his collusion with aggressive forces.
Habilian: Did the relationship between the Organization and Iraqi government changed after the Iraq’s defeat in war?
Soltani: In his childish dream and of course with the help of his opportunistic personality, Rajavi attacked Iran after the defeat of Iraq in war with Iran, but he was rewarded with a strong slap in his face by Iranian people and his organization fled Iraq with 1000 casualties.
Then he said that children and wives prevented them from a good combat, so, he dismantled the families like a wolf sending the children to foreign countries and coerced wives to divorce. Thenceforth he himself married them.
He (Rajavi) had arguments with Iraqis too. He vituperated Saddam a lot, saying that his air support was not enough.
On the verge of Saddam’s overthrow, Rajavi took away Iraqi people and government’s properties, so that he got to extend the Camp (Ashraf) to the western (borders) by capturing Iraqi military forces headquarters. They also captured weapons and ammunition left around Iraqi Garrisons, and took them all to Ashraf Garrison claiming that they belonged to himself (Rajavi)!

Terrorists should not have the right to organize meetings

Before beginning my letter, I would like to introduce myself. I, Ghafour Fatahiyan , am a former veteran member of People’s Mujahedin Organization (PMOI, MKO, MEK, Rajavi’s cult) who had been a fulltime member and captive of the Rajavi’s cult for twenty years in pmoi different bases .
Honorable Minister of Justice, probably you have been informed about the pmoi situation in Iraq and the Iraqi government decision regarding the expulsion of pmoi from their soil . so far five groups of pmoi members despite of all tricks, deceptions and obstructions which pmoi leadership have implemented, have evacuated the Ashraf and gone to the liberty camp and unfortunately not only those obstructions and tricks are not finished or subsided but also they have got worse and the leadership of this cult do not let the international organizations to do their job on purpose.
Few days ago , Maryam Rajavi , the leader of pmoi in her statement said that she does not advise the remaining groups to leave Ashraf. the people who are familiar with pmoi tactics and their method in dealing with problems , they understand the essence of this order perfectly which is a direct organizational order for more bloodshed and organizing more conflicts and confrontations with the Iraqi police and Iraqi government like the confrontations in the past which took the life of more than fifty people , because the leaders of this cult do not want to lose Ashraf easily and they are trying their best to buy time by all means because by shutting down of Ashraf , they will lose their breeding ground of their cult completely and this event will be considered as a huge and devastating failure and fiasco for the leaders of this cult .

The pmoi by the leadership of Maryam Rajavi which her headquarter is situated in Auver sur Oise near Paris , intends to organize a gathering with her presence in Paris. The objective of this gathering is that , if they lose their main and the only cultic breeding ground , Ashraf , in Iraq then they will substitute Ashraf with another safe base in Paris which will be their new breeding ground for their cult.
According to my knowledge and experiences of the essence and content of this organization which I had gained those during my membership in this dangerous organization and based on my presence in many pmoi internal sessions during my stay in pmoi , I know very well that after the downfall of Saddam Hussein and the likelihood of their expulsion from Iraq , the next country for their residence will be France . they intend to reside in their main headquarter and base , Auvers sur Oise in Paris , the place which Maryam Rajavi before the US invasion to Iraq ,was deployed clandestinely.
According to the internal political and organizational sessions which I participated , I heard from Mozugan Parsayee many times that if we lose our main base , Ashraf , we have still our headquarter in Auvers sur Oise and she added , for this reason Maryam Rajavi has gone and deployed there to influence the French society with her presence. This speech is one of the facts which proves my claim and for this reason the pmoi has concentrated all its power in this issue.
As you know , these days pmoi is trying its best to organize this meeting and gathering in Paris and they are struggling to bring as much people as they can in this gathering from different nationalities and I can surely say that more than 80 percent of those people who will participate in this gathering are not Iranian and pmoi pay and spend huge amount of money to attract those people to their gathering and unfortunately some of the French mayors will participate in this gathering as a result of pmoi fake propaganda .
According to the international rules of law and regulations , the terrorist groups do not have the right to organize meetings and gatherings throughout the world . the pmoi has been listed as a foreign terrorist organization in US state department since 17 years ago and also this notorious organization had been listed as a terrorist organization in European Union for a long period of time and no one has forgotten the pmoi self immolations on the streets of Paris in 2003 which was directly orchestrated and ordered by Rajavi’s cult.
In 2003 I was in Iraq when Maryam Rajavi got arrested in Paris , we were told by high ranking officers of pmoi in Ashraf that if Maryam Rajavi was not released immediately , the pmoi members had to set themselves on fire in front of American camp inside Ashraf to show and demonstrate their protest.

1. We are talking about an organization which its essence and content is based on crime and terrorism.
2. We are talking about an organization which imprisons and tortures its dissidents only for small criticism against Massoud Rajavi and sending them to the Iraq notorious prison, Abou ghraib.
3. We are talking about an organization which forced its members to throw themselves in front of the Iraqi police vehicles to be killed.
4. We are talking about an organization which has not allowed its members to have a simple meeting with their loved ones and families since 25 years ago and has captivated its members.
5. We are talking about an organization which does not allow its members to have access to a radio and ……………etc.
Yours Excellency, according to the concrete facts which some of them mentioned above , in your opinion such organization is qualified to organize a gathering or meeting in France? Do they have the right to organize such gathering in France?

MEK victims warn Lobby groups – "we will claim compensation from MEK beneficiaries"
Critics of Iran’s human rights record are being warned by former MEK members in Europe not to 
be fooled into giving support to a terrorist cult. The Iranian Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) wants to be removed from the U.S. FTO list and is using front organisations to lure paid speakers to a campaign rally in VillePinte, Paris on 23 June.
The warnings come after documents were made available to the U.S. Treasury linking an array of front organisation finances to companies and investments controlled by the Mojahedin-e Khalq’s leader. Top MEK members are also directing political support for the campaign through proxy parliamentary groups like Friends of a Free Iran.
Speakers’ agencies are being urged to exercise extreme caution regarding the MEK’s methods for recruiting support. In the U.S., former political and military heavyweights have already fallen foul of this tactic, where several are currently being investigated for aiding and abetting a terrorist entity. Those attending the rally must know they are engaged by organisations with direct links to the MEK.
With the MEK’s financial sources exposed it has become possible for victims to pursue a class action to claim compensation directly from the Rajavis.
Victims of the MEK, including former members who say their basic human rights were denied them for years, have launched a legal case for compensation from the companies which Massoud and Maryam Rajavi use to fund their elaborate and expensive propaganda campaigns. Anne Singleton speaking for the victims said, "Individuals who accept financial recompense from the MEK through its front organisations for speeches or lobbying should know that they can no longer claim ignorance and we will pursue them through the courts to recover money which should rightfully go to compensate the victims."
The MEK was removed from European terrorist lists on legal technicalities but concerns remain at official levels about the group’s propensity to use violence.
In spite of their public bravado, the MEK leaders are facing harsh setbacks. Massoud Rajavi’s stronghold in Iraq is being dismantled by UNAMI. His wife and co-leader Maryam Rajavi was in court last week in Paris to answer to charges of terrorism related activities, fraud and slavery. Other high ranking MEK members are being pursued for murder and terrorism offences relating to Iran, Iraq and France.

Mr. Abduhamid Raoufian, a recently defected member of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization declared his defection from the group by a letter he submitted to Sahar Family Foundation. After his release from the Cult, he found out that his family had written a lot of letters which were 
handed to the MKO by the help of red Cross but the cult hadn’t give him any of them. This caused more hatred in his heart against the Cult of Rajavi.
Mr. Raufian’s statement of declaration of separation:
I am Abdulhamid Raoufian. I was a war prisoner of Iran-Iraq war. I fell in the propaganda trap of the MKO-as it is known to every one-in 1988.
I was imprisoned in the Cult for 24 years. I always thought that I had no way back and my fate was to stay there my whole life. As I hadn’t had enough information on the Cult and its leaders, they abused my good will. My wrong choice ruined 24 of otherwise best years of my life. I had no contact with the outside world and my family.
Massoud Rajavi betrayed everything including his followers’ trust by deceiving them with his deceitful words and propaganda. We were turned into robots who were supposed to only obey the superior’s orders; to just say Rajavi was right, although we didn’t believe in him from the bottom of our heart. But, we had no way except obedience and confirmation.
To achieve what he wanted, I mean “Power”, Rajavi was prepared to do anything. He didn’t value our lives and the lives of thousands of people like us.
He was ready to victimize all of us. We were so isolated and departed that we couldn’t think of anything else in the world. Rajavi abused us to the highest level. Ultimately, I realized that the Cult deceived us and it only wanted our soles. I understood my mistake.
If, 24 years ago, I had had the information today I have about the Cult, I would have tolerated any grieves in Iraqi WOP camps and I would have never fell in the trap of the MKO’s promises.
Now, I made the right decision and I released myself from the prison of the cult. I declare my separation from the MKO. I’m glad for my choosing the right path. I feel like I regained my human identity.
I hope that my friends in the cult can also choose the right path and escape the hellish cult to freedom.

Paris Court hearing of Maryam Rajavi
On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 around noon, a group of Iranian residents in France gathered outside the courthouse in the square of St. Michael to deliver their protest against the terrorist Rajavi cult.
French Judges summoned the commanders of the Mojahedin to the courthouse to ask for explanations of the PMOI leaders on the issue of June 17, 2003 and other terrorist acts carried out by this organization on French territory and also in other European countries.
During the demonstration, Iranian and French citizens clearly displayed their dissatisfaction with the presence of terrorism in France. The event took place under the protection of the French police and in spite of the presence of a large number of Rajavi’s agents lurking around the demonstrators. Demonstrators holding the Iranian flag and with flyers in hand shouted "Rajavi is a terrorist" and demanded the expulsion of the dangerous cult from France.
The event attracted the attention of French citizens and raised many questions in the minds of the French. Passers- by asked for leaflets and posed the question, ‘how are these terrorists allowed to stay in France?’ They also wanted the court punish these terrorists and expel them from their territory. France is not the refuge of terrorism.
The event ended with the moral support of the French citizens present at the scene as Maryam Rajavi went to court to answer questions by French judges.
The second part of this protest was held in a conference room in Paris where protesters held a major debate on the issue of foreign terrorism in France and Europe. During this meeting, which lasted two hours, the speakers, themselves victims of the Rajavi cult, shared painful experiences of their lives within the cult. In this debate, the victims of Rajavi presented their condolences and sorrow over the death of Mr. Hadi Shams Haeri, an activist and former member of the PMOI, and also for the death of the father of Mr. Alireza Nassrollahi.
Mr. Mohammad Hossein Sobhani intervened in the debate to tell the story of Mr Haéri, his efforts in revealing the nature of the PMOI and his pains and sorrows as a father of being deprived of contact with his children by this inhuman organization.
Alireza Nasrollahi then told us of his father’s life and the suffering that the PMOI had caused. Mr. Nassrollahi revealed for the first time that the Rajavi cult cut his ties with his family by announcing to them the false news of his death in a terrorist operation.
Mr. Jahangir Shadanlou was the third speaker in this debate. He described the nature of the terrorist activities of the PMOI and demanded the expulsion of the cult from French territory. He also stressed that Iranian residents of the West are fully aware of the nature of this cult and they do not allow themselves to be deceived by the lies of this group.
Dr Bahieh Djilani, special guest at this meeting, took to the floor to denounce Rajavi’s abuses of women in the cult. She emphasized that the artificial presence and power of women in this cult is a sham that seeks to mislead public opinion.
She explained that Rajavi has diverted the minds of PMOI members by exercising brainwashing methods on them to make them robotic terrorists under his orders. Dr Djilani assured the audience that Rajavi’s terrorism and sectarianism have failed and the leaders of this organized criminal group are making their last steps towards a final fall.

Three members of Mojahedin Khalq Organization have fled Camp Liberty [TTL] in Iraq, an Iraqi security official says. 
Two members of the MKO named Tofiq Soleymani and Jalal Nikpour fled Camp Liberty[TTL] on 6 a.m. local time on Monday, the Nahrain website quoted the official as saying.
The two fugitives immediately surrendered themselves to Iraqi security forces stationed near the camp.
The security source also said another MKO member, called Mohammad Hamadi, fled the camp.
According to reports 13 members of the group have fled over the last three weeks.
For the escapees of Ashraf, MKO’s cracked shell is no more a serious impediment to freedom
The escape of more than a score of MKO’s members from its military base, Camp Ashraf, while being transferred to a temporary transit center near Baghdad has faced the group with another
grave crisis among many other that have already challenged it. Even more overwhelming, majority of them are old, experienced veterans and ranking members of the group. But what is particularly noteworthy about these escapes is that neither the group makes any allusion to them nor takes any antagonistic position, as did in the past, to call them infiltrated Iranian agents or other names. However, as they had provoked an angry backlash from the group, it directed its anger at other people and bodies cooperating in the process of relocation. For instance, we witnessed a new wave of strong condemnation of Martin Kobler, UN representative in Iraq, ICRC, UNHRC, and even the US State Department and being labeled of collaborating with Tehran against MKO. Silly as it may seem, the group even squawked about the UNHRC processing of individuals at Temporary Transit Location (TTL) and blamed it for asking tendentious questions that the group believed to be totally irrelevant to the individuals’ refugee status.
No doubt, these escapes are the consequence of the internal functioning of a terrorist group in terms of dynamics that are typical of a cult. Rajavi, as the leader of the cult, had already anticipated what would happen if a crack in the internal relations of the organization would appear. As a result, he would insist to safeguard the internal relations of the group from any outside interference. The first step, after the fall of Saddam, was to reach at an agreement with American forces in Iraq to keep its internal structure intact.
Rajavi has repeatedly announced in his meetings with the group’s leadership council that his organization has solved problems with American forces; they are free to do what they will in Camp Ashraf and in return, they have promised to “leave us to ourselves” and have no interference in our internal relations. In fact, when MKO surrendered its arms, it knew what precious reward it was being granted in return. It could do nothing more with the arms, but having the control of Ashraf in its own hands could well guarantee the survival of an organization destined to fall.
In contrast to Americans, the Iraqis are well aware where to target to destabilize the group. And that is why MKO’s leader insisted to have the control of Ashraf returned to American forces and strongly reacted against the transfer of the camp’s security to Iraqi forces in January 2009. Since the transfer of Camp Ashraf’s security from the US military forces to Iraqi government, there has been an ongoing wave of clashes between the insiders and Iraqi forces mainly because the former have insisted to penetrate into the camp to take the internal control of Ashraf in their hands, a move that seriously threatened the internal cultic relations and which provoked insiders into violent reaction that left tragic casualties.
Rajavi did anything in his power to protect and save its ideological-cult bastion, to keep members altogether under his cultic spells and practices inside the camp. But the best means at hand were always the members of the organization themselves who have been victimized as human-shields to bulwark Rajavi’s cult bastion. The watching and controlling measures that monitor the members even in their privacy never permit any risk of leaving a member alone with an outsider, be it a health caretaker or a member of his/her own family. That is why Rajavi has so far objected to letting the members out of the camp or meeting their families alone and unsupervised.
Despite raising huge fuss about its internal ideological revolution as the group’s greatest achievement, the flimsy, fragile walls of the group’s post-revolution framework have become even thinner. In fact, its structure can be analogized to a spider‘s house as the most feeble; a high-wind will sweeps it away altogether. And there are winds of crises blowing one after another. Now the control of Ashraf being removed through the process of transfer of the members to TTL, the members find an opportunity to breathe a fresh air they have long been deprived of. The thinned wall of the closed egg shutting them up from the free world outside is just before them to crack and pop it open. And there have been braves among them to try it out. For sure, there will be more escapes as the number of the encouraged is growing and the thin, cracked shell of the organization is no more a serious impediment to freedom.
Following the relocation of the MKO members in Temporary Transit Location (Camp Liberty), a new wave of defection started among the cult forces.
Six dissociated members of the group who were kept as hostages by the leaders could manage to run away, last week.
The first group of escapees who left TTL last week included four people: Hassan Yazdani, Meysam Panahi, Shahin Karimi and Shahab Karimi.
The second group included two members named Mojtaba Hashemi and Majid Mohammadi.
Nejat Society congratulates these people for their release from the cult of Rajavi. It also sends congratulations to the defectors’ families who have been awaiting their return for years.
Ghorban Ali Hosseini,Former terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, a.k.a. MEK and PMOI) member working as a senior translator for the terrorist group made astonishing exposure of the terrorist group’s crimes in Iraq following his defection.
According to a report published by Habilian Foundation website, during the first remarks following his defection, the former Arabic translator of the MKO who has spent over 30 years in the Cult disclosed top secret terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization’s crimes in Iraq.
Working as a senior translator for Mujahedin-e Khalq terrorist group, he was translating the group’s publications, announcements, letters, statements, and their website into Arabic.
“I had been working for 2 decades at various bases of MKO in Iraq, and due to my profession I was closely witnessing Rajavi’s mercenary, servitude, and spying for Saddam and after his downfall for the U.S. occupiers,” he said.
“The whole administrative and leadership system of Rajavi was part of the Iraqi army,” he said referring to Rajavi’s total devotion and allegiance to the toppled Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein.
“According to the documents and letters which I translated or the reports of his closest men, I found out that Rajavi was receiving oil in exchange for his services.”
He went on to say that the amount of oil have been increased by 100000 barrels per day (3 million barrels per month) which they turned them into cash in European countries.
“All the claims of the group regarding the financial assistance from Iranians and all their tricks in fund raising for (so-called) Simaye Azadi –the MKO’s TV channel- were sheer lies. They were intended to cover up the huge looting of Iraqi oil and to justify their millions in expenditures.”
“In the years following the Saddam’s downfall I was closely observing the MKO’s systematic interference in the internal affairs of Iraq and their espionage against Iraqi people and resistance groups in favor of the U.S. forces.”
He then made reference to MKO’s creating schism and fueling the ethnic and religious divisions in Iraq, escalation of conflicts between political parties particularly in Diyala province in which Camp Ashraf is located, and making effort to prevent their participation in the government and the parliament as a part of measures that MKO was doing in their bid to overthrow the Iraqi government.
He added that in his meeting with Martin Kobler, U.N. special representative to Iraq, following his release from the Camp Liberty, he has explained all the above facts as well as the cult-like conditions made at Camp Liberty by the MKO leadership.
Finally, he said that he has called on the UN to save the trapped cult members.
