Letter to the Head of the UN High Commissioner

Dear Mr. Filippo Grandi,

I am Mohammadvali Gholizadeh. I am the father of Ali. I ask your Excellency to help our dear children who are under the severe mental and physical control of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Cult.

The Cult’s leaders have denied us to have a visit or even have a short contact with each other now for long years.

After the MKO members relocated to Albania, the UNHCR entitled a monthly payment for each MKO member. However the MKO Cult put our children under pressure and do not give them the money they are entitled to. They put our children under severe pressure and give them a very small amount of that financial support in order that they do not be able to leave the group and repatriate to Iran.

I beg you to consider our plea and compliant. I ask you to facilitate a condition that the financial support be given directly to our children in order not to be used as a pressure tool against them by the MKO cult leaders. Please help our children to be able to decide for their own fate freely.

I ask you to help me as an ailing, aged father who has suffered a lot waiting to see his dear son once more.

Iran Blasts HR Bodies for Attempts to Cleanse MKO Terrorists’ Crime History

Spokesman of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Keivan Khosravi rapped certain human rights organizations for their attempts to erase the history of the terrorist crimes committed by Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, also known as the MEK, PMOI and NCRI).

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the victims of terrorism and most assassinated Iranian citizens and officials have been killed by the Monafeqin (Hypocrites as MKO members are called in Iran) terrorist group but human rights bodies are trying to clean up their black record without paying attention to their crimes," Khosravi said in a meeting with a media delegation from Albania on Tuesday.

He called on the European media to clarify the dangerous approach adopted by the MKO ringleaders against their members to meet their illegitimate interests.

The MKO has been incarcerating, torturing and killing all dissident members as well as those suspected of future plans for defection. The terrorist organization has assassinated many of its defected members in Europe and Canada.

Secretary of Iran’s Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani in a letter to EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in November called on the European states to annul the legal immunity of MKO members.

"The spread of plights and dangers of terrorism in the European countries as well as its negative consequences, including the refugees crisis which has inflicted the European states too, have more than ever shown the necessity for real serious determination to fight against it," Larijani wrote in his letter.

He stressed that the European states’ double-standards on human rights issues and their support for the MKO terrorist group whose hand is stained with the blood of the Iranian and Iraqi people and even its own members is not acceptable at all.

"Therefore, I ask your excellency and other relevant European officials to consider the numerous crimes committed by Monafeqin terrorist group and adopt serious measures to prevent the free activities of the terrorist group’s members in Europe, try its leaders and criminal members and make them account for their deeds," Larijani concluded.

The MKO, founded in the 1960s, blended elements of Islamism and Stalinism and participated in the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran in 1979. Ahead of the revolution, the MKO conducted attacks and assassinations against both Iranian and western targets.

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the revolution in a bid to take control of the newly-established Islamic Republic. It killed several of Iran’s new leaders in the early years after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by the MKO members in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by neo-conservatives in the United States, who argued for the MKO to be taken off the US terror list.

The US formally removed the MKO from its list of terror organizations in September 2012, one week after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent the US Congress a classified communication about the move. The decision made by Clinton enabled the group to have its assets under the US jurisdiction unfrozen and do business with the American entities, the State Department said in a statement at the time.

In September 2012, the last groups of the MKO terrorists left Camp Ashraf, their main training center in Iraq’s Diyala province. They have been transferred to Camp Liberty. Hundreds of the MKO terrorists have now been sent to Europe, where their names were taken off the blacklist even two years before the US.

The MKO has assassinated over 12,000 Iranians in the last 4 decades. The terrorist group had even killed large numbers of Americans and Europeans in several terror attacks before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Some 17,000 Iranians have lost their lives in terror attacks in the 35 years after the Revolution.

Rumors were confirmed last September about the death of MKO ringleader, Massoud Rajavi, as a former top Saudi intelligence official disclosed in a gaffe during an address to his followers.

Rajavi’s death was revealed after Turki al-Faisal who was attending the MKO annual gathering in Paris made a gaffe and spoke of the terrorist group’s ringleader as the "late Rajavi" twice.

Faced with Faisal’s surprising gaffe, Rajavi’s wife, Maryam, changed her happy face with a complaining gesture and cued the interpreter to be watchful of translation words and exclude the gaffe from the Persian translation.

MKO hostages’ mothers pen letter to the chief of UNHCR

The forgotten victims of the Rajavi Cult (MKO, MeK, NCR) demand information on their children.

More than 350 suffering mothers of the members of the Rajavi Cult, who live in Iran and who have been deprived of contact with their children and are known as the forgotten victims, have collectively written a letter to Mr Filippo Grandi, Head of the UN High Commission for refugees in Geneva.

With regards, as you are already aware, the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization does not allow its members any sort of contact with their families and this fact has imposed a great deal of suffering on us as their mothers.

Today in Europe, mothers whose children have been recruited by ISIL and been sent to Iraq and Syria and other parts of the world, are called ‘the forgotten victims’ since they have no means of contact with their loved ones and do not have any information about them.

If you look at our case, we are even more forgotten than those mothers, since unlike them we have not been able to attract any world attention because of political reasons. We do know the whereabouts of our children and have approached them many times and have even gone as near as about 100 meters to them in Iraq. But the MEK leader Massoud Rajavi has denied us from having any contact with or knowledge about our children.

Now that the MEK have all moved to Albania we urge you, as the head of the body responsible for them and their location in Tirana, to use your authority to arrange meetings with our loved ones and let us know about them and how we can contact them. Please do not leave us suffering the way it is at the moment and has been in the past.

We are certain that you can easily arrange this. Therefore, we ask you to respect ours and our loved ones’ human rights and putting aside all the political and regional and international issues; please be brave and help us as mothers to have our rights.

We are members of the Iranpour family. We are an ordinary middle class family living in Shiraz in Iran.

We would like to bring to your attention that two of our brothers Mr Ahmadreza Iranpour and Mr Mohammadreza Iranpour left our country at the end of 2002 and went to Turkey. They were intending to go to Europe to build a better future for themselves. In Turkey however they were spotted by the Mojahedin Khalq smugglers and fell into their trap. These smugglers falsely promised to get them residency in Germany but instead took them to Iraq. They then sold them to the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (MKO) as slaves. We were unaware of their whereabouts until 2003 when someone who had managed to run away from Camp Ashraf (Mojahedin Khalq terror camp given to them by Saddam Hussain) found out that our children are being kept captive at this place. From that day until now we have travelled to Iraq over 10 times hoping to see our captive family members. But this notorious terrorist violent group did not let us even have a simple visit with our loved ones. It is now clear that this organisation has changed deeply and is now a classic cult which does not allow the people trapped inside to have any contact with the outside world.

Our brothers Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza are no exception and are currently kept as slaves, in the dark, with no access to the outside world or access to the media or even their immediate family. That is why they do not let us or other family members have access to their children. We are not the only ones, many others have been taken by the MKO and now have no way out.

We would also like to add that this terrorist cult has been engaged in many terror and suicide operations in our country Iran. They are responsible for the death of tens of thousands of civilian people. We have witnessed their brutality in our city, Shiraz, first hand. There was a man living in our area who had a shop making frames. He did not have any position or relation with the government but they assassinated him simply because he was religious and looked religious. We have also witnessed the burning of busses by the Mojahedin Khalq operatives in our city in which women and children were burned to death. The father of one of our friends had a shop. He too was killed simply because he was a religious man. There are more examples within the area where we live in Shiraz and you can find information and statistics about many similar atrocities simply searching the internet.

We are one of the families who have two children taken away from us who are currently captive in the hands of this notorious cult. Our knowledge of this cult comes from first-hand experience. We would like to inform your good self about the truth after which the judgment will be yours.

With the hope for the freedom of all the trapped people in this violent cult and hope for peace and friendship.

41 families of prisoners in Rajavi cult write to Filippo Grandi, High Commissioner for Refugees

Dear Mr. Filippo Grandi, High Commissioner for Refugees.

We are a group of families who have come to Iraq in the hope of visiting our loved ones who are incarcerated in Camp Liberty. From 23rd to 26th of May 2016 we have presented ourselves four times at the gates of the Mojahedin Khalq’s camp (Liberty) bringing flowers and sweets and presents including tokens of our country’s soil. We have come in good faith and with clean hearts, without any feelings of hostility or even criticism against the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, NCRI …). Our only hope has been to meet with our family members. But the cult minders and guards not only did not show any friendly gesture or regard for our simple demands, instead they crushed our presents (the soil of our county which is obviously precious for us) under their boots, destroyed and burned the flowers and gifts we brought. On 26th May 2016 they increased their hostile activities and, adding to the usual swearing and insults, they started attacking us physically, injuring some.

I would like to bring to your attention some parts of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights UDHR):

“Article 13.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.

And:

Article 16.

(…)

(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.”

Your colleagues from the UNHCR attended the scene shortly after we were attacked by the Mojahedin Khalq (MKO) and witnessed the situation. There are also photos and video clips which can be presented as evidence. All the families involved in this event are, of course, ready to give evidence about what happened.

Our question is why your good self and your organisation which clearly witnessed the injustice and the abuse of our human rights in front of the gates of Camp Liberty are silent and why is it that you do not wish to act to restore our rights?

How do you explain your double standards to the on looking international community?

We don’t have any demand but just a simple one. We demand the right to visit our children. Why is it that your do not engage to restore this simple human right which has been abused for long enough right in front of you?

We urge your good self to take notice of our basic, legal, humanitarian demand.

The Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, ….) claim that we are “agents of the intelligence ministry of Iran” and not the families of the people trapped inside camp Liberty. The Mojahedin Khalq have long used this excuse to prevent us from visiting our loved ones. To take away this ridiculous excuse we would now like to ask you and your organisation (UNHCR) to take charge of our trips to Iraq and arrange simple and basic meetings with our loved ones outside the confines of Camp Liberty and without the presence of Mojahedin Khalq minders and commanders. We are of course ready to bear the expenses but we need this trip to Iraq to be under your supervision and command. Our country is a member of United Nations and pays its yearly dues accordingly. It is part of your duty to give us an official answer.

We now wait for your reply.

Iranpur family write to Mr. Kubiš (UNAMI), about their loved ones taken hostage by Mojahedin Khalq

Dear Mr. Kubiš

I need to offer some clarifications in regards with the letter my son, Mohammad Reza Iranpur, to you, which was published in Iran Probe website (www.iran-efshagari.com), belonging to People’s Mujahedin of Iran (Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MEK)), on June 17, 2016.

We, the members of Iranpur family, have been deprived from visiting our two sons, Mohammad Reza and Ahmad Reza, and our repeated requests to international organizations and also the Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization for visiting them have remained unanswered. Now, after our recent three trips to Iraq and appearance in from of Camp Liberty in this year, Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization has published a letter attributed to my elder son, Mohammad Reza. However, considering the way we know our child and also the testimony of several people who have been freed from Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization and their claims of duress mental and physical pressures on people living in Camp Liberty and the abuse of the organization through publishing letters and statements in their names, I have to inform you that the aforementioned letter is not written by my child and the claims of Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization in this letter are utter lies.

We have an average educated urban family and we have no political affiliation of any governmental and non-governmental groups or institutions, and all of requests for unsurveilled meeting with our loved ones and also the trips to Iraq, have been planned and conducted on our own and the only help Iranian government has facilitated the process of getting a visa, which is a prerequisite for leaving the country and all Iranians have this privilege. Hence, the claim of Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization in this letter and affiliating us with the Iranian intelligence service is pure lie. It has to be mentioned that our message to the residents of Camp Liberty and out two children in our repeated visits to Camp Liberty has been love, peace and invitation for unsurveilled meeting and it has never contained any threats.

Based on testimony of Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization detached members, all individuals in Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization are denied the right to access free information, unbiased news agencies, the Internet and cellphones. Hence, my child could not have been able to write and publish such a letter.

This family denies what has been claimed in the published letter on the relationship between our children and supporters of Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization and the tendency towards joining this organization and we state that out children exited Iran and deceived by a person named Sajjad Sepehri in order to migrate to Europe or Canada, while they were kidnapped by the origination’s members and transferred to Iraq.

In that letter, Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization has claimed that the real family of the Camp Liberty residents are prisoned in Iranian prisons and we are not their family. We hereby state that we have never been scrutinized, punished or prisoned by the Iranian government because of presence of our children in Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization’s camps in Iraq, so far and we are ready to perform the DNA test to prove our family ties with Mohammad Reza and Ahmad Reza.

However, I would like to ask you why Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization publishes pure lies and accuses the family members of the residents of Camp Liberty of things, instead of letting our children meet us.

It is obvious that if such the opportunity for unsurveilled meetings arises, their lies and accusations will be surfaced and our children will not hesitate even a second to come back to their families.

Mr. Kubiš, at the end, we, members of Iranpur family, again insist on arranging an unsurveilled meeting with my children in your presence, which is my right, and ask for your assistance.

We, members of Iranpur family, express our concern about the lives of Mohammad Reza and Ahmad Reza, since we believe that their lives are at risk due to the threat from Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization in order to prevent us from travelling to Iraq and our appearance in from of Camp Liberty. Hereby, we state that we consider your responsible for protecting the health and life of my two children.

Families open letter to UN High Commissioner for Refugees (Albania)

Dear sir/Madam,

We are the families of prisoners imprisoned in Albania by the Mojahedin-e-Khalq. We write this letter to inform you that after years of captivity in Iraq, our children, while some of them were captured by Mojahedin-e-Khalq in the Iran – Iraq war as a soldiers for their country and others were captured by Iraqi soldiers sold to this organization by Saddam Hussein. And some others were young people who were out in the hope of education or employment were kidnapped from Iran and other countries such as Turkey and were transferred from the airport to the Mojahedin in Camp Ashraf in Iraq.

After the years of captivity in Iraq by the Mojahedin-e-Khalq they transferred to Camp Liberty in Iraq in the worst conditions with the painful life without communication with the outside world, without access to means of communication such as telephone. And we were never able to meet them despite repeated trips to Iraq.

Now they transferred to Camp Albania.

We thought Europe was the cradle of liberty. We hope that many of the prisoners’ human rights problems will be solved by going to Albania. But, unfortunately seeing images and information obtained from Camp Albania reveals that even in Europe which is the cradle of freedom and civilization, very difficult living conditions are considered for prisoners. The pictures show the apartments with completely covered windows and strict control over the captives outside of the apartments. Our loved ones do not have any communication with the outside world.

These conditions made it impossible for the prisoners to make any decisions for the separation of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization. We believe that it is our human right that the government of Albania will provide conditions to meet with them. We asked you to provide communication devices such as phones, telegrams, etc that we can have a remote connection with them. We urge human rights organizations to investigate the causes of these anti-human and hostile behaviors by prisoners in your country. We appeal you to strive to resolve this problem. Please help us.

We condemn the unprovoked attack on the families by Mojahedin Khalq (127 HR activists write to Ban Ki-moon)

Dear Secretary General,

We, a group of human rights activists, strongly condemn the attack by the leaders and commanders of the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (aka MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult), on the elderly fathers and mothers and other family members who had been gathering outside the gates of transit camp Liberty (aka Camp Hurriyeh) in Iraq.

On Thursday May 26, 2016 the fifth group of families of the hostages kept by the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (Rajavi cult) gathered outside the gates of Camp Liberty. Their only demand has been to visit their loved ones. Some have not seen them for over 20 to 30 years.

Dear Secretary General,

One of the basic rights of any prisoner or prisoner of war is to be allowed to contact his/her family and have visits, exchange photos and letters. But Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi have denied this basic right from the hostages held by their Mojahedin Khalq Organisation for a long time.

The question is this. Why, 13 years after the change of government of Iraq, do the families still have no right to visit their loved ones? A further question is this. Who is responsible? And. Who is answerable?

On the above date (last Thursday), Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi ordered the commanders and leaders of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation in Camp Liberty to attack the picket of families outside the gates and brutally beat them. As a result, some of the elderly fathers and mothers have been injured.

Dear Secretary General,

As Human Rights activists, we strongly condemn the beating of the elderly mothers and fathers whose only demand has been to visit their loved ones kept in the camp. We urge you to investigate this criminal act and bring the perpetrators to a court of law and prosecute them according to the relevant international laws.

An Iran-Iraq POW’s Brother pens letter to Iraqi Prime Minister

Ali Kalateh Seifari, brother of Ali Asghar Kalateh Seifari, MKO hostage in Baghdad’s Camp Liberty, wrote an open letter to Iraq’s Prime Minister asking for his assistance to arrange a meeting with his enslaved brother.

In the Name of God

The Honorable Prime Minister of Iraq,

I, Ali Kalateh Seifari, am writing as your Muslim brother to ask you as the highest executive official of Iraq to help me.

My brother ; Ali Asghar Kalateh Seifari was taken hostage by MEK cult on November 22, 1987 during the Iran-Iraq war and he was transferred to Camp Ashraf. He is now in Baghdad’s Camp liberty.

During the past 27 years my family members and I, have made several visits to Iraq at the gates of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty. However we failed to contact him even by a phone call. I would like to humbly ask you as the highest executive official of Iraq to help us meet with our brother even for a few hours under your supervision but without MEK members’ presence.

I wish you and your country’s victory over the ISIS . I hope the release of all captives under Rajavi Cult.

Massoud Rajavi deprived me of my father

Alireza was a one-year old toddler when he saw his father for the last time.

Alireza Beheshti’s father; Mr. Morteza Beheshti and his uncle Mostafa was deceived by the Mujahedin-e Khalq recruiters in Turkey into joining the Cult in 2001.

Alireza is now 16. His father victimized by the MKO Cult leaders at camp Ashraf in 2011. His uncle;Morteza is still hold hostage by the MKO.

Beheshti family have several times gone in front of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty to visit their beloved Morteza or even get a news of him.

They do their utmost efforts in accompany with other suffering families of MKO destructive Cult to liberate their loved ones.

With greeting, I am Alireza Beheshti and it is 16 years that I spend days and nights with this hope that I can see my father whose name is Morteza Beheshti. I, ve kept all my handwritings from my childhood to show them to my father.

My father and my uncle Morteza and Mostafa Beheshti were fallen in the traps of Rajavi band in Turkey. They were hunted by them. I am a child who has not seen his father from a time I was just one year old. Now, I am 16 years old. My dear father was killed in 2011 in Ashraf jail. I burn in the pain of separation for years. Rajavi band killed my father and I became an orphan. Now, I search my uncle whose meeting makes me glad as if I see my father. I am a child and I speak with my own language. I call those who speak from human rights. I could not see my father, at least provide a condition for me to see my uncle. I could not take part at my father’s funeral. I wait to see my dear uncle even for many years like my aunts Nargess, Laila and my uncle Mohammad who are waiting for many years. You Rajavi! You deprived me from meeting my father, but I will get my uncle from you. My dear uncle! Please, say to me what did my father do in the pain of my separation. Come to give my handwritings. I want to give them you as a gift.
