Ex member Davoud Baghervand Arshad attended a meeting in the European Parliament about Yemen. He exposed MEK-Saudi Arabia collusion in relation to Yemen. Arshad explained that this goes back to the time of Saddam Hussein when Massoud Rajavi clandestinely visited Saudi Arabia and met with Turki Al Faisal, who was head of Saudi intelligence at that time. From that time, they worked together on different issues in the Middle East, including Yemen.

The MKO‘s Propaganda against Iranian Elections on the ground of Fiction

Only, a few weeks left to the presidential elections in Iran, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/MEK/the Cult of Rajavi) has launched its predictable propaganda campaign against the Islamic Republic. As usual, the group labels the Iranian elections as “sham”.

Reviewing the substance of elections in governing systems around the world it is worth to compare them with elections held in both ruling systems of the Islamic Republic and the Cult of Rajavi.

Elections are the central institution of democratic systems. The principal mechanism for linking public opinion into the system’s authority is the holding of elections.

All modern democracies hold elections, but not all elections are democratic. Right-wing dictatorships, Marxist regimes, and single-party governments also stage elections to give their rule the impression of legitimacy. In such elections, there may be only one candidate or a list of candidates, with no alternative choices. These are not democratic elections.

In contrast, democratic elections are not merely symbolic but they are competitive, periodic, inclusive, definitive elections in which the main decision-makers in a government are selected by citizens.

A look at the history of the MKO and the Iranian government demonstrates the dimensions of democracy that are observed in each establishment. While the MKO cult leaders accuse the Iranian authorities of being fundamentalist, dictator and undemocratic there have never recorded a fair election in the whole history of the group. The above-mentioned type of undemocratic elections are exactly the only ones that were held in the MKO. No matter the person is supposed to be selected for what rank, there is always one candidate and members are supposed to vote for this only one without any opposition. In the voting process, there is no polling station, no ballot box. No one’s vote is secret. Members of the Cult of Rajavi have to raise their hands in a public ceremony to indicate their agreement with the selected person. There is no alternative choice and there is no option to dissent the selected person.

Compare this undemocratic system to the one in Iran. Despite all deficiencies, the elections in Iran are competitive, periodic and inclusive in which candidates from the two main political wings including conservatives and reformists take part. They run their presidential campaigns, participate in debates and try to challenge their rivals, much similar to what takes place in famously known democracies in Europe and America.

Leaders of the Cult of Rajavi run their propaganda machine against the Iranian presidential elections as they are backed by certain warmonger figures of the US government who find them as the enemy of their enemy. Saeed Kamali Dehghan of the Guardian finds the exiles such as Reza Pahlavi and the MKO that seek regime change in Iran, as people “who are irrelevant to modern Iran, yet appeal to gullible Americans”.

KamaliDehghan accurately asserts that the MKO and the Monarchists do not represent the aspirations of the Iranian People. “Nevertheless, the Iranian people by and large still believe in gradual change, however slow the pace of reform might be,” he writes. “Huge turnouts for elections represent a rejection of the sort of things that Pahlavi and Rajavi have to offer.”

He confirms that the MKO is never a reliable source for the enemies of the Iranian nation. “In their constant mission to demonise Iran, the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia have heavily relied on groups such as MEK,’’ he suggests. “The fact of the matter is that they remain out of touch with the realities on the ground.”

McCain palling around with MKO terrorists

Weeks after Senator John McCains’s visit to the newly established base of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO) in Albania, the ripple effects still continue. McCain’s support for a cult-like group with a dark history of violence and terror causes a wave of reactions that do not seem to end soon. The most recent has been by the side of an opposition figure against the Islamic Republic, Mehrdad Khonsari. He writes an open letter to the Senator criticizing his act of sponsoring the terrorist cult of Rajavi. He asserts, “It was quite a shock noting that a personality of your background and status had emulated the feat carried out by others much less informed about Iran and generally motivated by greed.” [1]

Following Senator John McCains’s trip to the Balkans (courtesy to US taxpayers), he was received by Maryam Rajavi in the newly established base of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO) in Tirana, Albania. Rajavi offered McCain bouquet with a wide smile on her face in a luxurious hall full of so called cheerful audience – perhaps McCain did not expect such a warm reception.

The leader of the MKO cult who was so enthusiastically motivated by the presence of an American hawkish figure could not conceal her happiness. She seemed to have found the savior of her declining organization. “The Iranian people and the resistance are more determined and prepared than ever to overthrow the ruling theocracy and to establish democracy and national sovereignty in Iran”, she claimed.

As a matter of fact the leaders of the MKO cult put their anti-American, anti-imperialism past behind and eagerly count on the United States new administration to change the Iranian government. However, the issues are not as simple as the naïve MKO leaders have always supposed. Their alliance with the enemies of the Iranian nation has not been so productive for them that they can prevent the collapse of their organization.

Besides, the MKO cult is notoriously known among the majority of American scholars, journalists and politicians, even those who are known as anti-Iran figures. Michael Rubin who is a critic of the Islamic Republic’s policies wonders: “what is John McCain thinking?” Reviewing the violent and cult-like background of the MKO, he affirms that the American advocates of the MKO are not supporting the enemy of the Iranian government but they are assisting the enemy of the Iranian people. [2]

Dr. Munr Kazmir of the Huffington Post states, “The enemy of my enemy is NOT always my friend”. He explains that the act of John Mccain and his hawkish colleagues to sponsor the MKO is the exact definition of “insanity”. He refers to other similar experiences of the US: “There was a group in Afghanistan led by a fellow named Osama Bin Laden whom we armed during the cold war. There are rebels in Syria to whom we have given arms. These are just two examples of many instances where the strategy of backing the “enemy of my enemy” blew up in our faces.” [3]

Dr. Kazmir challenges Rajavi-Republican agenda for regime change in Iran: “Regime change. Just like Nicaragua. Or Afghanistan. Or Iraq. Or Libya. Or countless other nations we made unquestionably worse with our involvement.” [4]

Furthermore, as Kazmir and Rubin warn about the destructive consequences of supporting the MKO cult for both the United States and the Iranian people, former member of the MKO, Arash Sametipour believes that both McCain and the MKO are not favorable entities in the world so their alliance does not work for them. Moreover, the MKO is hated in Iran. “It can be argued that MKO gains nothing by organizing meetings with warlords, right-wing activists, and Saudis,” He concludes. “A group which is unpopular in Iran has proven that will not be accepted as a player in Iran.”

Parents met their child in Albania, defect the MKO Cult

In 1980s after the Mujahedin-e Khalq forced to leave the country after its failed armed struggle. The groups’ leader called supporters to leave Iran to Iraq .Among the group’s supporters where couples who left Iran with their children.

Among these couples were Ameneh Haqiqat and Akbar Rabiei who joined the MKO group in mid 1980s along with their young child. They joined the group to make a better life. However as soon as they entered the MKO camps they understood that Mujahedin Khalq is a destructive cult rather than a political organization.  

In 1990s during the Gulf war, the cult used it as a good pretext to separate parents and children – In MEK after forced divorces of couples, ties between parents and their children was exactly the main worry of Rajavi (The MEK leader), as although couples were separated, still through their children and their ‘Thursday gatherings’ they were able to connect to each other – so as their child was also separated and sent to MKO Camps at Europe along with other children.

Ms. Haqiqat’s brother says:” my head whistled when I hear that the ‘family’ is disintegrated within this horrible cult. My head whistled when I heard that my little niece left far from parental love…”

Mr. Haqiqat also gave the good news of his brother’s defection from the Mujahedin-e Khalq cult:” after my dear niece met his parents in Albania, his parents decided to leave the cult. They will abandon the MKO cult and leave Albania in near future, if God wills..”

The MKO cheers Trump’s Syrian missile attack

Following last week’s chemical attack in Syria and President Donald Trump’s retaliating missile strike, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization ( the MKO) could not conceal its pleasure to see the United States’ involvement in the Syrian battle.

There are allegations among bloggers and political leaders that the toxic gas attack on April4 in Khan Sheikhoun, Idlib was a “false flag” operation designated to trigger American involvement in the country’s civil war. However, supposing that Assad has attacked his own people with chemical weapons, the MKO leaders should be asked some essential questions.

 About three decades ago, Saddam Hussein – the then military and financial sponsor of the MKO- attacked his own people in Kurdish areas in the North of Iraq and the people in the Western town of Iran, Sardasht. While those chemical attacks at the time, were much more catastrophic than the one in Khan Sheikhan, the MKO not only didn’t condemn Saddam Hussein for the chemical attacks against civilians but also it cooperated with him to suppress more Kurds as well as Shiite uprisings.

Double standards of the MKO leaders is clearly demonstrated in their biased position taking about Syrian civil war while the Iranian foreign Ministry condemned “any use of chemical weapons, regardless of who has used it or who are the victims “ immediately after the incidents on April 5th, according to the Reuters.

Definitely, hypocrisy has always been an iconic feature of the MKO cult. The massacre of children in Idlib and previously in Halab is a matter of focus in the MKO propaganda while the starving and massacred children of Yemen has never been broadcasted in the group’s propaganda media. Humanity is not an issue for the MKO opportunists, they just turn into human rights advocates whenever they find it beneficial for their own propaganda.

In case of Syria the MKO supports Trump’s missile attacks because it is highly motivated by its anti-Iran paid – sponsors at the Trump’s administration – such as John Bolton and Rudy Giuliani and etc.

In contrast, the case of Yemeni children is not a matter of importance for the MKO because they are victims of Saudi Arabian aircrafts! In fact, after the collapse of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, Saudi Arabia has been the top financial sponsor of the MKO in the region. Moreover, as the Saudi prince Turki Al- Faisal declared in the group’s propaganda show, Saudis also want the overthrow of the Iranian government.

Chemical attacks on civilians in Khan Sheikhun provided a pretext for the enemies of Iran as well as Syria, instead of being a warning mark for all sides of the battle to end up the war.

What’s going on in MKO Camps in Albania?

Hundreds of members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization left the group after its relocation in Tirana, Albania.

Defectors of the Mujahedin Khalq residing in Europe, reported that five hundred people have left the MKO since its relocation in Albania. According to the source, two hundred of the defected group could not manage to leave Albania. “They are still under the control of the cult”, said Mr. Isa Azadeh a former member of the MKO.

Mr, Azadeh states,” regarding their individual situation and conditions, some of the defectors were sent to other European countries by the cult leaders but some are banned by the group to leave Albania.” Apparently, cult leaders fear the possibility of revelations that defectors may announce against the cult.

MKO defectors who reside in Albania get their monthly financial support from the MKO so they do not dare to take any action against the group.

“The cult has defined this main redline for defectors otherwise their monthly payment is cut,” Issa Azadeh added. The cult has allowed the defectors and even certain elite members in the cult to call their families but they are required to tell their families not to come to Albania to visit them for the time being.”

Mr. Azadeh also gives some explanations about the current situation of cult members inside the camps in Tirana. Based on his revelations, the group leaders have colonized the old members with more than 30 years of membership in a location outside the city, named “Ashraf3” where all regulations of the proper Camp Ashraf are executed. Eventually, residents of “ Ashraf3” are not allowed to leave the camp unless for exceptional occasions such as doctor’s appointment or receiving medical treatment. The average age of these people is 55. They include the most high-ranking members with the most years of experience of acting in the cult of Rajavi.

“the cult leaders keep them outside the Albanian capital, far from civil atmosphere and distanced from defected members because they are terribly afraid of their defection – as old members of the MKO,” Azadeh reveals.

Other members of the MKO who are settled in houses and apartments across Tirana include a large number of dissident individuals who criticize the group’s policies but they are barred from leaving the cult by emotional and organizational tools.” These layers are controlled by peer pressure,” Mr. Azadeh says.
