Dear Mr. Jalal Talebani, Distinguished president of Iraq Though our organization are opposed to the death penalty, we still cannot hide our relief over the fact that Saddam Hussein, the former dictator of Iraq after 30 years of campaign of terror have finally been brought to justice and convicted of his crimes. Saddam Hussein has been convicted to death for the murder of 148 citizens of Dujail, a violent retaliation against a failed assassination attempt on 8 July in 1982. Currently he is being trialed in the genocide committed against the Kurds in the Anfal campaign. During the chemical bombing of the city of Halabje, more then 5000 men, women and children were killed. Mr. President, you know better then anyone that in 1991, Saddam Hussein with the help of his private army the Mojahedin-e Khalq of Iran, was part of the oppression of the Kurds. In this act of murder tens of innocent Kurdish people were killed. The Mojahedin army conducted their attack on the Kurdish towns of Klar, toz khormatooz, soleiman beik, kefri and jalola, and went on a mission to kill and drive the Kurds out. “ A number of our current members were at the time members of the Mojahedin army and witnessed these atrocities close hand and for this reason they decided to leave this terrorist and murderous organization. “ Our organization has been actively working to expose this horrendous crime and bring these events unto the public arena since 1993. Our appeal to the government of Iraq is if possible: 1. Adding the suppression of the Kurds during 1990 to Saddam Husseins current criminal charges 2. Re: Serious concern for the safety of our client and our directors
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you in order to express my deep concerns regarding the safety of our client Mr. Mohammad Mohammadi as well as two directors of our organization including myself.
As Human Right advocacy group it is our foremost duty to question and challenge any system/individual that violates the fundamentals of the charter that we all believe in. In the past few month we were working on behalf of a Canadian Citizen, Mr. Mustafa Mohammadi, and his family to facilitate the freedom of his young daughter from a military camp in Iraq that is under the control of this Iranian political organization known as “Mojahedin e Khalgh” or MEK.
Since the story of this family was picked up by national media and based on the interest expressed by National Post we collaborated with the NP reporter Mr. Stewart Bell, in various capacity from translator to mediator and the result was a five (5) part series that was published from September 23rd to September 28th on the front page of that paper with the mention to our Centre and repeated quotas from us. Needless to say, this report was not written in the favor of this organization.
Since this organization is active in Canada, as known by your office, the local members have informed their other pockets in North America and Europe hence an extensive campaign started against us. The regular attacks on their various media from TV/Radio programs to the papers and Websites accuses us as being the agents of Iranian Regime, a very old and overplayed rhetoric, and asks their members to “deal” with us.
Since the young Mohammad, he is the brother of the girl in camp Ashraf, was kept in that camp against his will for 4 years in the past he was the key witness in preparation of that article. In the recent days and after the continuation of the threats he is very scared about his own safety which makes us uncomfortable too. Since the clear instruction of this organization, as per their leader and stated in many of their publications, is to eliminate any individual who turns against the organization, defector, his concern for his safety is understandable. At the same time I and another director of our Centre Mr. Saeed Soltanpour, a well known journalist in our community, have been included in many of those threats and accusations.
Knowing the volume of the issues you are dealing with we are not requesting any particular protection at this time but merely to inform you about the situation.

To Hooshang Amirahmadi with my best wishes and compliments.
I have since long been informed of your written articles and all-out efforts in bringing the US and Iran together in respect to the existing stalemate in the two countries’ negotiations. Theses efforts in themselves, regardless of ambiguous objectives many individuals and parties try to achieve, can put an end to many existing challenges. In your articles you have generalized a number of influential and key factors that play a substantial role in deterring further negotiation. There is no need to mention them as you have already done in detail. But you should pay much attention to external factors that, for certain reasons, try to escalate the tension between the US and Iran and, unfortunately, you have been non-observant of them. It might have been a deliberate or conservative negligence, I do not intend speculation and casting aspersion, or you were afraid of being labeled as it is common among the opposition. It is not a simple issue to dismiss especially since your main efforts is focused on digging up the roots of dispute to find a solution to ease flexibility from the both sides.
No doubt, the US has taken, unlike the past two or three decades, a rather rational position towards the global issues. The change, before any thing, is the result of the general condition of the developing countries and rise of nationalist movements on the one hand and the US avowal of democratizing the world on the other hand. The impelled change, albeit pretentiously, well distinguishes the present America from that of the past. Observe the difference in the US-run coup d’etat in Chile to topple Allende’s national-elected government and the today’s attempts of freeing Iraqi people from Saddam’s tyranny. The export of democracy to developing countries, I believe, is the other side of militarism; both disregarding peoples’ own will to decide for themselves.
No need to mention these issues as you are well informed. My main word is about the existing crosscurrents that, disguised as opposition, try to escalate the tension between the US and Iran to achieve their own ends. In your articles, you have dealt in detail with the internal deterrents that hinder normalization of relations but you avoid discussing the disruptive role of the opposition and Mojahedin-e Khalq in particular. Not advocating the Islamic Republic’s manner of behavior, I do not expect you to be critical or even opponent of MKO depending on your own opinions. I say that if these deterrents are to be analyzed in general and their supposed interests out of these challenges are delineated, MKO’s role in escalation of the tension should never be overlooked. Are you in doubt that MKO consent to any political bargain on the expense of the country’s national interests? As I have noticed about you, you object to the strategy MKO has adopted. You know better about MKO’s intention when the group urges to compromise with the US. A passing look over its news coverage unveils the fact that the group is doing its best to escalate the tension between the two countries.
An observable evidence to talk about is MKO’s stance in Iran’s nuclear file. How the challenge might be influential in normalization of the relations is an issue of its own concern, but MKO’s distortion of the truth with the help of different media means well indicates the group’s destructive role to aggravate the tension. Do you believe that Mojahedin are really concerned about the global peace and security as they claim? Knowing the answer already and that Mojahedin strive to suggest a military solution to a diplomatic dispute could have provoked you as an activist to unveil the group’s insincere, hidden intentions for the public.
You have certainly seen the letter Mansour Qadrkhah, a member of the NCRI, addressed to George W. Bush wherein he entreated Bush to find a decisive solution against Iran not dismissing the military invasion. The existing gap between such an anti-national vision and your efforts to secure the general national interests should have somehow been an issue of interest to you. I believe it would be off the mark if the internal parties and factions were blamed as the sole deterrents excluding the destructive role of this opposition. The truth being unveiled about the real intention of this opposition, it is possible to demarcate between the nationalist and organizational interests of the activists and those who do object to the normalization of the relations. I think you are well aware, like me, of Mojahedin’s lobbying efforts in the Congress and their round the clock sit-ins. These appeals might produce repercussion on the normalization of relations. I expect you to deal with MKO in the same way you analyze the internal opposition deterrents. Certainly, Mojahedin at some country’s political fluctuations had destructive impact on the procedure of normalizing the ties between Iran and other countries.
It should be also pointed out that Americans are somehow paying for their past flaws. The US extension of apology to Iranian people for their misguided policies including 1953 coup to topple Dr. Mossadiq’s legal government is a rather logical approach for the initiation of any negotiation. At least the Americans acknowledge their past misdoings; the enthusiastic, revolutionary anti-imperialism Mojahedin not only befriend the ex-imperialism enemy but also try to posture as a pro-democratic force to be awarded the legitimacy of an alternative. They have absolutely forgotten, or pretend to, that in many occasions reproached the Islamic Republic for making attempts to reconstruct the relation with the US. They have announced readiness to carry out any plots that the Americans themselves are ashamed to do.
Mojahedin’s only objective to fulfill is to assume political power. It should be a subject of interest to analyze to illuminate the minds who are misguided by the false propagandas of confronting, for instance, fundamentalism or so. I am ready for any further cooperation and dialogue to illuminate your mind on the subject if necessary. Yours

Regardless of this article, the seven member delegation from Nejat Association which is currently in Paris, would very much like to meet with you to share our concerns about the human rights violations inside the Mojahedin’s Camp Ashraf in Iraq.
After a twenty year absence, why is a mother not able to visit her son for two hours? This is her only request. Why will the Mojahedin not allow her this simple request, which under the terms of the Fourth Geneva Convention on Protected Persons, is a basic right.
Article 116 – Every internee shall be allowed to receive visitors, especially near relatives, at regular intervals and as frequently as possible.
If you are unable to visit Paris to meet with the delegation, we will be happy to meet with you in Washington where we will be arriving shortly.

Initially I would like to welcome you to Tehran on behalf of Nejat Society. Subsequently I wish you every success in your journey, and I hope that you would have a pleasant and productive stay in Iran.
Nejat (Salvation) Society consists of former members of the Mojahedin-é Khalq Organization (MKO) who have organized themselves in order to strive to help those members who are still mentally and even physically captive within the Organization in Camp Ashraf in Iraq.
You may well be aware that MKO has been listed as a Proscribed Terrorist Group by the US State Department, the Council of EU, and the British Government. This Organization has a long record of violating the most basic principals of Human Rights within its establishment including imprisonment, torture, child abusing, and even murder.
The Human Rights Watch in its latest report under the title of No Exit has tried to describe “Human Rights Abuses inside the Mojahedin-é Khalq Camps in Iraq”. This report explains how the “Exiled Armed Group Abuses Dissident Members”, and how this so called “Opposition Group Seeks Recognition in Western Capitals”.
Hundreds of people, who have managed to flee the Organization and have managed to return home to their families, have described horrendous practices conducted against the discontented members and defected followers. They have also explained how they have been persuaded and manipulated into serving the evil demands of the leaders; and how they have had the experience of being a mind and mental prisoner.
MKO is well known as being a cultic group with all its peculiar and yet typical characteristics. The Organization is led by a self-appointed charismatic leader who enjoys absolute control over the wealth, the lives, and even the minds of the followers. Some of the common manners widely reported inside the Organization are as follows:
• Exercising the Process of Brainwashing, Psychological Coercion, and Thought Reform.
• Tearing Apart Families and Harming Children.
• Appling Violence and Harassment against Critics and Opponents.
• Engaging into Conspiracy and Fraud.
• Taking Away the Members Freedom as well as their Possessions.
I also wish to draw your good attention to the Case of Ashraf Camp in Iraq. There are some 3000 people living under tight control of MKO in that Camp. These unfortunate individuals find no way to free themselves from the sever domination of the Leaders. They must receive help urgently.
I hence, on behalf of Nejat Society, urge you to the followings:
• Launching a Fact Finding Committee to start investigating inside Iran as well as Iraq and other countries and to contact the numerous Former Members of the Organization in order to reach a good understanding of the Nature and Behavior of MKO. Many ex-members around the world are willing to cooperate with such Committee.
• To bring the Organization under careful and thorough Scrutiny done by Officials of UN, something MKO has always escaped from, and to publicize the findings of such procedure.
• The issues of Terrorism, Violating Basic Right, and Functioning Cultic Approaches in the Organization’s History be under Close Inspection.
Nejat Society would be more than pleased to be able to offer any form of Cooperation in this manner. You are certainly acquainted to the severity of damages Cults can cause to the people and their relatives and families. Therefore you would realize how urgent and important the matter is and how essential it is to do something about it.

Nejat Society Tehran, Iran July 2006 His Excellency, Nuri Al-Máliki The Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Baghdad, Iraq Your Excellency, Respectfully, we would like to acknowledge that the members and authorities of Nejat Society in Iran are most contented with your latest decisive stance regarding that the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organisation (MKO), which is internationally categorised as a terrorist group, should be expelled from Iraq.
Nejat Society is consisted of those ex-members of the MKO who managed to free themselves from the mental and even physical barriers of the Organisation. The main object of the Society is of course to try to help the previous comrades in such way that they be able to free themselves too and start a decent normal life again along with their families and beloved ones.
There is one undeniable fact that MKO and its National Liberation Army (NLA) have been an inseparable part of Saddam Hussein’s Regime and have even participated along the forces of the Deposed Despot to suppress the People of Iraq’s freedom movement in 1991. The Organisation is also responsible for many sabotage and terrorist activities inside Iran through the years.
You are probably aware that around 3000 members of MKO are residing in Ashraf Camp (Al-Khalis Garrison) under the control of the US Army. These people have no connection with their families what so ever and they have all been somehow brainwashed by the leaders and kept unaware about the outside world. They are systematically manipulated to serve in the benefits of the leaders.
Nejat Society finds its duty to try to bring these people out of their misery and once again introduce them to the normal life and the real world. In other words these people must be helped to survive from the state of captivity that they are experiencing at the moment. Driving them out of Iraq would mean liberating them from the hand of their capturers.
Expelling the members of MKO in a way that they no longer could be controlled by the leaders of the Organisation would be to their own best interests and that of their families. Once they become freed from the barriers of the Organisation and be let to think and decide independently and find themselves in a new world, they would certainly be most pleased about their new situation out of the Organisation’s control.
MKO would of course like to keep hold of the Ashraf Camp since it provides them a good opportunity to withhold the members isolated from the outside world. Therefore they would most definitely launch a public relation (PR) campaign to give a fake image that the majority of the Iranians are against the decision of the Government of Iraq. They would as a normal procedure try to falsely impress you by bombarding the office of the Prime Minister with fabricated letters.
As far as the Americans are concerned they are just passing time to see what would be the outcome in the future. It seems that they are not certain what to do with them. Some 600 people have defected from the MKO in Iraq since the collapse of Saddam Hussein while about 400 of them have managed to come back to Iran to their families and start a new life. Around 200 are therefore still with the TIPF alongside Ashraf Camp.
Let’s wish that all these unfortunate people who have been utilised by Massoud Rajavi in Iraq against the two great nations of Iraq and Iran as well as their families and have also suffered through the years for missing their beloved ones would soon gain reunion and start a new prosperous life.

Dear Prime Minister of Iraq, Mr. Nouri Al Maliki,
In very recent news, we were informed that you have decided to expel the Iranian terrorist group Mojahedin-e- Khalq from your homeland, Iraq.
We are delighted by your brave, democratic decision, and hope to see the real action which would be to review the criminal file of those 3,000 brainwashed followers of Rajavi in Camp Ashraf and bring them to justice with a fair trial.
As you are well aware, for over twenty-five years the Mojahedin-e- Khalq had a tight relationship with the former dictatorship of Iraq under Saddam Hussein, and they not only betrayed Iranians but also your nation of Iraqi as well. There is plentiful evidence to show and affirm that in 1991, the Mojahedin stood side by side with Saddam’s forces in suppression of the Kurdish population in the north and the Shiite population in the south of Iraq. There is also evidence of the Mojahedin receiving financial help from Saddam Hussein for their terrorist and betrayal activities. As you know well, the Mojahedin-e-Khalq during those periods of time, trained terrorists in Iraq and led them inside Iran for terrorist activities in which many innocent civilians were killed and some badly injured, and definitely our people in Iran will never forget such betrayal, and we are sure the betrayed Iraqi have the same feeling as we do.
Today, after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the Mojahedin-e Khalq as usual, have appeared in other form of betrayal to Iraqi and Iranian nations. Inside Iraq, they encourage the Iraqi citizens to expand the sectarian war, so they could benefit from the crisis, and in Western countries, the Mojahedin-e-Khalq encourage the Western governments to start a war in Iran.
So dear Prime Minister, at the time of Saddam Hussein’s rule, it was not possible for us, the Iranians, to claim any justice against the Mojahedin-e-Khalq, because of the dictatorship government in Iraq. But now, since democracy has been established in Iraq, we would like to sincerely ask you, please bring the leaders of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq to a justice for what they have done over the past 25 years against the two nations with a aid of Saddam Hussein and his Baath Party, and free those innocent followers who are trapped in Ashraf simply by being brainwashed by the cult methods of Rajavi.
We hope for peace, stability and democracy in Iraq and the whole Middle East region, and faster action on closing the Camp Ashraf, so that the two neighboring countries are able to continue building a relationship based on trust and mutual respect.

Below is the text of a letter sent to UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair by Anne Singleton asking whether "the majority of members of the House of Commons and over 160 members of the House of Lords" support Maryam Rajavi, leader of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq organization. The constituents of such MPs are surely entitled to know whether their local MP supports a terrorist agenda or not.

One year ago, on the very same day as the London bombings, representatives of a globally proscribed terrorist organization were being entertained in the House of Lords by Lord Corbett. Such a regrettable misuse of Britain’s democratic institutions by Lord Corbett is not new, and complaints have frequently been made to the relevant authorities, including the Home Minister.
Yet now, as the anniversary of London’s terrorist atrocity approaches, and the country is taking stock of the terrorist threat from extremists, Lord Corbett has again flouted every normal boundary of decency and again shown his contempt for democracy by once more inviting representatives of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq into parliament to celebrate their ideology of violence.
A Persian language communiqué from the National Council of Resistance of Iran (which is universally recognized not as the ‘political wing’ but as the front name for the Mojahedin Khalq Organization, aka: MKO, MEK, PMOI, Saddam’s private army), announced that the Mojahedin had arranged for a ‘Plaque of Support’ to be presented by the unelected members of the House of Lords, Lord Slynn of Hadley, Lord Russell-Johnston and Baroness Harris of Richmond, on July 1, 2006, to Maryam Azodanloo (Rajavi), head of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq organization.
The plaque was presented to her in a ceremony to celebrate the anniversary of her arrest in June 2003 in France on terrorism charges – for which she is still under investigation. That particular event was immediately followed by the death of two and injuries to tens of cult members when they committed self immolation on her direct order in several major European cities in a clear act of aggression against the French government and judiciary.
The plaque has been created in the name of Lord Corbett – who is well known as a Rajavi cult member in the House of Lords. On it is the claim that this accolade has been presented "on behalf of the majority of members of the House of Commons and over 160 members of the House of Lords".
Lord Corbett is known as Rajavi’s leading cult protégée, who for the past 20 years has promoted her military cult and its aims through frequent comments and speeches under her Kalashnikov logo, in which he has uncritically promoted Mojahedin Khalq violence and supported the organization during its mercenary work for Saddam Hussein.
Lord Corbett has frequently claimed that hundreds of British parliamentarians support the terrorist Mojahedin cult and its leader Maryam Rajavi, but to date has produced not a single scrap of evidence to support these false claims.
The idea of a ‘plaque’ was dreamed up by the Mojahedin themselves. It is the latest in a long line of exploitation of parliamentary procedure and protocol. In the past the group has regularly composed carefully worded oral and written questions which they have supplied to their cult recruits in parliament in order to get signatures by deception in support of their violent ideology. They have used their leading political cult member Lord Corbett in order to hold meetings inside the Houses of Parliament which are attended by their own cult members, in which they celebrate death and violence and terrorism under the guise of support for human rights and democracy.
The Iranian community in the UK and, certainly, the constituents of every MP who, according to Lord Corbett, potentially supports the leader of a foreign terrorist organization, seek urgent clarification of this issue.
Is it true that many members of the British parliament are now supporting a foreign terrorist organization and its leader and have proffered a plaque to her as a symbol of that support?
I would appreciate a clear answer which will explain the actions of Lord Corbett "on behalf of the majority of members of the House of Commons and over 160 members of the House of Lords".

During a session of the European Parliament in Strassburg on May, 19th 2006 you are reported to have said: „The National Resistance Council (NRC) of Iran is a solution against the islamic fundamentalism in Iran….” Furthermore, you are said to be of the opinion Mrs Rajavi would be the only hope to Iran. We just cannot understand your motives.
As you should know, the armed combat and terrorist activities of this organisation killed many innocent people in the last twenty years. There is numerous evidence for this. The terrorist attacks hampered the peaceful process for freedom and democracy in Iran. Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi are MKO´s religious leaders with reactionary ideology. Members of MKO are forced to divorce from their present partners or are dictated to marry partners having been selected by the leaders. Parents and children are being separated from each other. Within the organisation, there is no freedom of speech or democracy. For religious reasons, men and women are not allowed to give their hands to each other – it might imply sexual desire.
Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi instruct and form the members to propensity of violence (see persons burning themselves to death in 2003 in Paris). The Iranian people do not support the MKO for having collaborated with Iraq´s former dictator Saddam Hussein. Therefore, MKO pursues its campaign by propaganda in Europe and abroad in order to find their way out of isolation.
We should all wonder, how it would be possible for a woman like Maryam Rajavi to ever bring freedom and democracy to Iran?

After having met Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the religious leader of the Iranian People´s Mojahedin, a woman that is representing herself as being the elected president of Iran, you are reported in their journal „Mojahed“, No. 803 dating May, 15th 2006, to have said that in your opinion MKO would not be a terrorist organisation and you would be supporting the organisation in their way of bringing the Iranian government to fall.
It is Mrs. Rajavi´s idea to bring down the Iranian government with the help of the Americans, which are to bomb the Iranian country and then give way to the dispatch of ground forces of the National Resistance Army (NRA) from Iraq. This plan is continuously being presented and repeated in the media of the organisation MKO. By means of purposeful propaganda MKO is trying to win supporters for their political goals. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Rajavi have cooperated with the former dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, making numerous attacks with leaving many innocent people dead. She does not even shrink back from using the organisation´s members for her purpose (i. e. people burning themselves to death). Such an organisation that is being listed for several years as terrorist organisation would scarcely be capable to bring democracy and freedom to Iran and the Iranian people.
Judging from your previous statements, for instance in the journal „Scotsmen“, you have appeared to be declaring yourself against war and violence. We would assume that you are not really willing to support a person like Mrs. Rajavi.
