Nasrin Ebrahimi is a former member of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization, who fled the group in 2006. She was one of the first survivors of the Cult-like MKO who dared to reveal the corruption of the leaders of the group. She was the first person to speak of the “Summit Operation” which was a cult jargon through which a large number of female members of the group became infertile by Hysterectomy surgery.

Rajavi’s major objective was to maintain members in Camp Ashraf by killing the hope for future life.

Hysterectomy operation verified Rajavi as the most criminal and treasonous person in the history of Iran. In his opinion, the removal of women’s wombs would entirely turn them to Rajavi’s property for ever.

In order to suppress male members, Rajavi used female members over them. To show their superiority over men, women had no pity for others, they pretended to be rough. The more they imposed pressure on male members, the more they were praised by Massoud Rajavi. This was the sign of connection with Massoud. Hard labour didn’t let members think. Rajavi had deceived a bunch of womenwho were victims who in their turn victimized male members. You might have heard of Ms. Batoul Soltani’s revelations about sexual abuse by Massoud Rajavi. I was not a member of MKO’s Elite Council (Leadership Council) but when I got to know about Ms. Soltani’s memoirs, I realized the histories about “Leadership’s Bounds” and meetings with Maryam Rajavi in which she told us,” We are all Rajavi’s wives.”

According to Ashraf regulations, all women are in “Rajavi’s Bounds” so no one had the right to look at them or think about them.

We were given necklaces by Massoud that meant that we were connected to the leadership. As we were going ahead in meetings, new subjects would emerge. For example, after we got the necklaces, the subject “4 walls” [chardivari] was proposed; the meaning of the new subject was that we had an owner, named Massoud Rajavi. Maryam Rajavi typically told us:”You have the most handsome and the best husband in the world. How a married woman let herself think of another man?”However, at that time I supposed that her words were absolutely ideological arguments not anymore…

After compulsory divorces, the situation in Camp Ashraf was not like a normal community and the events that took place in Ashraf never take place in an ordinary community so it’s not easy for female defectors of the MKO to talk about it.

In my idea we shouldn’t be scared or ashamed to reveal what happened to us there, instead Massoud Rajavi should be ashamed because he caused all these problems for us.
Psychological researches indicate that the suppression of sexual and emotional desires doubtlessly hurts person’s mental health. First of all, I believe that we should view the issue scientifically not personally…

In 1996, men and women’s bases in Ashraf were made separated from each other. Separated bases were built for women inside Camp Ashraf. The separation was created to stop men and women to get involved with each other even in their minds. (This was called “Caught in a moment”).Rajavi feared such an issue so women were completely alienated from men. Just a small number of female officials stayed in male bases as their supervisors.

A number of women were not happy with the separation process. They weren’t impressed by Rajavis’ propaganda.”This is contrary to the values we have propagated for years,” they said.”If men and women cannot work together, so we made mistake to chant slogans about the equality between men and women”. […]

By the way, we were resettled in female base. In a meeting that was held immediately after the relocation, the officials told us:”Now that sisters are apart from brothers, there is the risk that you pamper yourself and leave your values." (!!) Therefore severe and harsh treating became more than the time we were resided together with male members…

After weeks of investigation at the now empty former camp of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq

organisation, Diyala Provincial Council reported that another mass grave has been unearthed in Camp Ashraf. According to this report, the MEK has executed a number of its leaders and cadres and buried them in Camp Ashraf.

President of the Diyala Provincial Council Mr. Taleb Mohammed Hassan confirmed that the remains of some bodies found inside the grave belonged to people who died of natural causes, and there are people buried inside the camp after the MEK executed them presumably because of their dissent.

Parliamentary sources have previously reported that the remains of Kurds had been discovered in Camp Ashraf in a mass grave. In this case, Diyala Provincial Council said the remains now uncovered are those of the members of the MEK itself and do not relate to any other persons.

French Journalist: MKO Members Infected with HIV

French journalist and author Thierry Meyssan said that the country’s government during the presidency of François Mitterrand supplied the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO also known as the MEK, PMOI and NCR) with HIV-infected blood to be injected to defiant members and defectors.

Meyssan made the remarks in an interview with Seyed Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad, the secretary-general of the Habilian Association, a human rights group formed of the families of 17,000 Iranian terror victims.

Meyssan said that during the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran (1980-1988), while he was doing journalistic works and studying operations at blood transfusion centers, he was taken aback by understanding that the infected bloods in France were being given to the MKO instead of being perished.

The MKO claimed that it needs the blood to be injected to its members in case of being injured or sick while the bloods were HIV-infected and caused aggravatingly painful diseases, he said.

"After that I understood François Mitterrand’s wife had ordered the sale of (infected) bloods to the MKO and helped them in this regard," he added.

Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the grouplet are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

A May 2005 Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.

According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.

The group, founded in the 1960s, blended elements of Islamism and Stalinism and participated in the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran in 1979. Ahead of the revolution, the MKO conducted attacks and assassinations against both Iranian and Western targets.

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the revolution in a bid to take control of the newly-established Islamic Republic. It killed several of Iran’s new leaders in the early years after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by MKO members in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by neo-conservatives in the United States, who argued for the MKO to be taken off the US terror list.

The US formally removed the MKO from its list of terror organizations in early September, one week after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sent the US Congress a classified communication about the move. The decision made by Clinton enabled the group to have its assets under US jurisdiction unfrozen and do business with American entities, the State Department said in a statement at the time.

In September 2012, the last groups of the MKO terrorists left Camp Ashraf, their main training center in Iraq’s Diyala province. They have been transferred to Camp Liberty which lies Northeast of the Baghdad International Airport.

Camp Liberty is a transient settlement facility and a last station for the MKO in Iraq.

Cults are feverishly active all over the world and a grave feature of their menace is the deceit with which they distort the truth to trap the unwary. Cults generally tend to function in isolation and are usually remote from the society and keep away to have direct contact with people. However, for some purposes cults need to make contact with the outside world, that is, recruiting new members, fundraising and more. Sending the members to live among the free society is even more crucial when the cult comes to be a hypocritically political one that needs the society as the wheels to push the cult forth.

Although cults cut members off from easy and tete-a-tete contact with outsiders, there are a number of members in certain cults that live out of the cult among the ordinary people to fulfill the mentioned purposes. It does not mean that these outside members can escape tense, thought reform processes worked within the cult. These members seemingly living outside separate from the cult are also under direct and strict cult controls and undergo the same mechanisms that are used against the insiders:

In most live-in cults, every detail of life comes under group scrutiny. For example, there are dress codes, food restrictions, and enforced marriages or relationships. In such cults, the members generally live together at the headquarters or at specified locations around the country or over, seas and work for cult-owned enterprises. However, there are also cults whose devotees appear to remain active in quite a few major aspects of the outside world, earning a living outside the cult. But for all practical purposes these individuals also live under rules governing such crucial features of their personal life as the people with whom they associate, what happens to their money, whether they raise their own children, and where they live.

At the present, Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO/MEK/PMOI/NCR), or Mojahedin Cult/Cult of Mojahedin as it is notoriously reputed and referred to, may be the sole political-terrorist cult of personality that avails big number of live-in and live-out members. The group’s main bastion was once located in Camp Ashraf, located some 60 kilometers north of Baghdad in Iraq, but the majority of insiders have been relocated to a temporary transit location (TTL) near Baghdad’s airport. However, its headquarters are situated in Auvers-Sur-Oise in Paris under the name of National Council of Resistance (NCR), an officially recognized alias for MKO. But there are many countless umbrella and front groups aiding the cult in fundraising activities, recruitment, propaganda blitz, organizing rallies and so forth.

To the list of front groups can be added numerous political, social, charity, art and much more groups and societies wherein hardly you can trace them back to the mother group. They all function according to the taste and culture of the societies among whom the insiders live and mostly propagate under democratic standards. For instance, the women and girls officially active as ring members of MKO are forced to wear outfits covering all their body parts and the head. Even Maryam Rajavi herself in spite of dressing in colorful non-transparent outfit never shows bareheaded in the public. But there are many occasions in which women sympathizers, under the command and direction of the commanding members in charge, engage in activities in extravagant western fashions on behalf of MKO. It has to be also mentioned that many of these sympathizers are unaware of the real nature of MKO and work as propaganda tools to beguile the Westerners. As soon as they are recruited as the formal members, they have to embrace cult principles including the clothing codes.

Before September 28, when MKO was removed from the State Department’s list of FTO, it was a designated terrorist group and therefore the US persons and firms were generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with or providing services to the group. The key responsibility was thus on the US based umbrella groups active in making contracts with American firms as part of a lobbying campaign, hiring speakers and paying speaking fees, making arrangements for encouraging and hiring Iranian and non-Iranian masses for rallies, fund-raising and collecting donations, and more. Here is a few of these active front groups to name just in the US:

MKO members fate as the victims continue to remain unsolved

Mojahedin Khalq is de-listed but the fate of its members as the victims continue to remain unsolved

In its November 2012 edition, Afrique Asie wrote; “The State Department bowed to the judicial The Humanitarian Cause Remaining Unsolved court ruling obligating it to a revisal of the PMOI designation. It was a historic victory for the Iranian Resistance at the end of a legal and political journey in Europe and then the US, with many ups and downs. Justice provided a positive answer everywhere to the PMOI’s demands”. It appears there are still agencies misinformed as to the true cause of a terrorist group’s removal from the list. The real story is in direct contradiction to the group’s diffusion of disinformation propaganda.

A US appeals court had ordered Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to decide within four months by October 1, whether to remove the designated terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization MKO/MEK/PMOI from the US FTO’s blacklist. Ambassador Daniel Benjamin, coordinator for counter-terrorism, had told reporters earlier in a conference that the group had misunderstood a recent court order that required the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to decide whether to remove the MEK from the terror list. According to the judges’ order, the Secretary of State had to make her decision by October 1 to keep the group on the list or remove it, but the order “did not mandate any particular result.”

The decision, however, was taken on the ground of a humanitarian move and MKO appears to have totally forgotten that in the process of its years-long lobbying efforts almost majority of the American former officials on the group’s payroll urged for removal of the group for the humanitarian cause of the people of Camp Ashraf and then Camp Liberty as a top agenda to facilitate their resettlement in third countries as soon as possible. Michael Mukasey, the former Attorney General, speaking in a Washington meeting arranged to urge delisting of MKO stated:

“The point of this move, of course, is to make it easier for the residents to be relocated outside Iraq. That’s the goal, as we all know. And that goal cannot be achieved so long as the State Department continues to make the United States the only country in the civilized world to designate the MeK as a terrorist organization. … it’s time to end this. The continued listing of MeK is the main obstacle to resettlement… .”

In a message sent by General James Jones to the same Washington Symposium, he stressed that “The right thing to do, the humanitarian thing to do, is for the United States to remove the terrorist listing currently ascribed to the people of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty, and to champion a program of third country repatriation as soon as possible”.

Or when Dennis Hastert, another former Congressman, tried to make a logical argument for delisting MKO at the same meeting, he said:

“But when there’s liberty and life of human beings at stake we have to make that the exceptional focus on what is their well-being and what is the right thing to do. And to try to sacrifice a group of people’s well-being, their life, their ability to have a decent life, a humanitarian existence, should not be stopped by some political considerations in trying to massage a political or diplomatic situation.”

And MKO was removed from the list. But did it change the fate of Ashraf and Liberty’s residents to be sent and resettled in other countries? Absolutely not. The residents are now placed in a humanitarian plight that can be condemned as inhumane and practiced only in cultic settlements. And of course, the brag and show of those meetings in which American advocates lauded delisting of MKO as initiative to end the agony of its members has come an end; their mission is fulfilled, the cashes paid, and they have no obligation to feel any sense of responsibility towards these enslaved people.

Maybe these officials are also amazed to see that how MKO has managed to promote a humanitarian cause overnight to be demonstrated a historic victory for its propaganda machine and the humanitarian move of the State Department as a bow to its demands. They were paid their share in a massive campaign to abuse human rights for unjust political causes. However, it is not all the story. Sometimes it is the US that decides which group is terrorist depending on how that group suits national and political interests. And of course, the only thing nobody cares about is the fate, agony and plights of who under the pretext of human rights issues continue to be abused and remain the real victims.

Rajavi cult victim set himself alight in Camp Liberty

As preparations get underway to deport all Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK), one Rajavi cult victim set himself alight in Camp Liberty

According to a security official in charge of the protection of Camp Liberty near Baghdad, a Rajavi cult victim set himself alight in Camp Liberty veteran member of the Mojahedin Khalq terrorist organisation (known as the Rajavi cult) set fire to himself at dawn this morning.

The official reported that a man named Shahram Mohseni set fire to himself in protest at dawn today (Sunday), adding that although Mohseni suffered serious burns to his legs and back it had been possible to save his life.

Officials at Camp Liberty report that many MEK members are suffering from mental illness because of the pressures they have been under for the past three decades.

During a visit to Camp Ashraf which was the former base of the MEK, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Faleh al-Fayad, said that all members of this organisation will be deported and found alternative locations over the next few weeks in coordination with the UN mission in Baghdad.

He emphasised that irrelevant to what the Americans have announced by removing them from their terrorism list, the Government of Iraq continues to regard the MEK as a terrorist and criminal organisation.

Fayad said that the MEK were condemned by the Iraqi people because of their participation in the suppression of the uprising in 1991 in the suppression of the Kurdish uprising in the north of Iraq under the command of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

MKO looted Iraqi munitions, lands after fall of Saddam

Habilian Foundation (families of Iranian terror victims) caught up with a former member of MEK leadership Council to talk about the terrorist Cult of Rajavi (also known as Mujahedin-e Khalq, MKO looted Iraqi munitions, lands after fall of Saddam MEK, and MKO) and her two decades of experience in the terrorist cult.

In the first part of this serialized interview, Batoul Soltani talks about the way she and her 3-month-old baby were transferred to Iraq and then she further discusses the MKO’s situation in the very first year of their arrival in Iraq. The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Habilian: How the MKO members went to Iraq? Did they use legal ways? Did they have passport and visa or they went to Iraq illegally?

Soltani: In his dream to take power in Iran, Masoud Rajavi aligned with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein who was at war with Iran. He left France for Iraq in a bid to overwhelm Iran, and spent exorbitant amounts of cash to draw together his members, opponents, even the addicts and poor people from all walks of life in Iraq.

Having Saddam’s government as his supporter, Rajavi gathered troops in Iraq and in neighboring Iran by forging travel documents and making fake passports with huge sums of money given by Saddam Hussein to help him overthrow Iran and make himself the full owner of Iran’s soil. For instance, I and my husband have been transferred to Iraq by a fake Iraqi passport with names of Zahra and Abrahim.

We did not know then the ominous thoughts of them for us, and we did deem it a right way and thought that we would be able to go to a European country, such as France and to enjoy a free life and well-being. But after our arrival, (Rajavi) took all our (travel) documents and destroyed the bridges behind us in a bid to compel us to remain in Iraq and to follow his organizational orders.

Habilian: How many members were in MKO in the first years of its presence in Iraq? What was the total number of members in the last year of Saddam Hussein’s rule?

Soltani: Rajavi tried to take all the members to Iraq at all costs. The number of members in the great operations was 5000, 1000 of whom were killed in Forough Javidan (Mersad) operation.

In the last year of Saddam’s rule, Rajavi sent a group of members to France along with his third wife, Maryam Rajavi. A bunch of members escaped the Organization, and the remaining members were 3400 in the last year of Saddam’s reign.

Habilian: How was the Organization provided with Camp Ashraf? How the facilities and infrastructure constructed there?

Soltani: After the meeting of Rajavi with Tareq Aziz, the then Iraqi foreign minister, known as Peace Meeting, and in his meeting with Saddam, Masoud Rajavi was gifted with Ashraf Garrison and several other garrisons at Iran-Iraq borders and in the deserts on the frontiers which previously belonged to Saddam’s Army as well as some palaces inside Baghdad.

Ashraf Garrison known as Filq II was smaller than the present, so Rajavi said that he needed bigger land. Thus, Saddam confiscated the surrounding lands and handed them over to Rajavi.

Later, the land which was about 36 square kilometers were laid down barbed wire and tall guard towers were built inside it. Electrical wiring and strong floodlights were installed on the sides of the garrison.

A prison was built inside it and a round-the-clock patrol and security forces made there a big and isolated prison.

Habilian: Did the Organization underwrite the building garrison and providing facilities? How did the Organization fund them?

Soltani: It was seemingly the Organization that underwrote the projects, but they took all the money from Iraqi government en masse. Notably before the fall of Saddam Hussein, the Organization was provided with so much money that immediately after the downfall of Saddam Hussein members of the Organization tried to buy companies in Iraq.

The Organization took out as far as it could the wretched peoples’ assets, so that they could establish foreign investments companies.

Habilian: How did the Iraqi people treat MKO?

Soltani: Since Iraqi Kurds remembered the Organization’s alignment with Saddam’s army in suppression of their uprising, they hated MKO members, and the rest of Iraqi people saw us as the members of (Saddam’s) army and they hated and feared us.

We have been prohibited to have contacts with Iraqi people even at the time of Saddam Hussein.

The Organization tried to replace this hatred and fear to relation and friendship. So, Rajavi ordered large parties to be held and thousands of Iraqi people were invited to dinner or lunch.

He spent very huge amount of money in this way. He even managed to penetrate into Iraqi society by organizing roughly 500 Iraqis with big costs. He established an Iraqi militia, and held Persian language classes inside the Garrison and paid them money.

Habilian: How did the members saw the Iraqi imposed war on Iran and their cooperation with invading forces who assaulted their territory?

Soltani: Masoud Rajavi has spent thousands of hours convincing their presence in Iraq and cooperation with aggressive Saddam. In the first step he tried to pretend that it was Iran who invaded Iraq and he instead described Saddam Hussein as a civilized and good man. He has made an angel in our minds from Saddam who was a demon. Rajavi even white-washed Saddam’s bloody hands in the massacre of Kurds, and said that Kurds are our enemies and (Iranian) regime’s accomplices.

Everything was censored in Rajavi’s Organization and we had no access to media, news, or free world. For example, he said: “we seek peace in order to prevent the killing of people, though, this is Iran which put all of their lives at stake and we want to prevent the war to stop killing people,” thereby he legitimized his collusion with aggressive forces.

Habilian: Did the relationship between the Organization and Iraqi government changed after the Iraq’s defeat in war?

Soltani: In his childish dream and of course with the help of his opportunistic personality, Rajavi attacked Iran after the defeat of Iraq in war with Iran, but he was rewarded with a strong slap in his face by Iranian people and his organization fled Iraq with 1000 casualties.

Then he said that children and wives prevented them from a good combat, so, he dismantled the families like a wolf sending the children to foreign countries and coerced wives to divorce. Thenceforth he himself married them.

He (Rajavi) had arguments with Iraqis too. He vituperated Saddam a lot, saying that his air support was not enough.

On the verge of Saddam’s overthrow, Rajavi took away Iraqi people and government’s properties, so that he got to extend the Camp (Ashraf) to the western (borders) by capturing Iraqi military forces headquarters. They also captured weapons and ammunition left around Iraqi Garrisons, and took them all to Ashraf Garrison claiming that they belonged to himself (Rajavi)!

The MEK Expulsion from Iraq

Iraq Camp Relocation Problematic For Iran’s MEK

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday warned Iranian exile group Mujahideen-e Khalq, or MEK, to comply with its relocation from Iraq’s Camp Ashraf to Camp Hurriya if it hopes to be removed from the United States’ list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

"The United States remains concerned about the situation at Camp Ashraf and urges the residents of Camp Ashraf to resume full cooperation immediately with the Iraqi government and United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said.

"The peaceful closure of Camp Ashraf is achievable but requires continued patience and practical engagement to be realized. Constructive offers must be met with a constructive spirit and not with refusals or pre-conditions to engage in dialogue."

The State Department has held the transition over MEK’s head for half a year, saying a peaceful move and cooperation with American and Iraqi authorities could get it off the terrorist list.

Washington believes that the eviction is necessary for humanitarian reasons since Ashraf has long been considered a refugee camp. So far, around 2,000 MEK members have successfully moved to the Iraqi-run Camp Hurriya, formerly Camp Liberty, in Baghdad. But another 1,200 to 1,400 are still in Ashraf, and the relocation is stalled, with MEK threatening to leave them behind if the conditions in Hurriya are not approved.

MEK — sometimes known as the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, or PMOI — has been on the foreign terrorist list for the last 15 years and is desperately trying to be removed. The group was exiled from Iran after the Islamic Revolution and fled to Iraq, as well as across Europe, under the guidance of leaders Massoud and Maryam Rajavi. The group allegedly helped Saddam Hussein during the Iraq-Iran war and has in the past been linked to various bombings and assassinations inside Iran.

However, MEK and the National Council of Resistance of Iran, an umbrella organization for Iranian exiles run by Miryam Rajavi, insist that the group is now only a political organization and refugee group. All of MEK’s weapons were confiscated by the American government years ago, and it has renounced its former violence.

Over the past few years, MEK, with help from a slate of American supporters that includes an all-star list of former top officials, have campaigned to be removed from the terrorist list, going as far as filing a suit with a U.S. appeals court to force Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to make a decision about MEK’s status within four months.

Nonetheless, a number of MEK members have seized the move from Ashraf to Hurriya as an opportunity to defect, revealing troubling details about the organization in the process. One of the first, according to the Sahar Family Foundation, a nongovernmental organization that says it provides humanitarian assistance to those who leave Ashraf, was Ali Reza Rahmati, who was in MEK for 10 years.

"I am extremely happy, and I thank God that I could obtain my freedom. I did not even have the right of free-thinking, and I was under the constant pressure and mental torture," Rahmati stated. "Now I feel the love of life’s revival inside of me, which was dead for 10 years, and I feel great satisfaction of this."

Ehsan Bidi, who also defected from the MEK and "declared separation" from "the corrupt Cult of Rajavi," compared his time in the refugee camp to being imprisoned and admitted that he had tried to escape before. Eight-year MEK member Sirous Morsalpour said that he was twice shot in the stomach — once in 2009 and once in 2012 — but was not permitted to have surgery outside of Camp Ashraf despite requests and the severity of the injuries. Morsalpour said that after he continued to insist on going to a hospital, "I was told that I was fired."

"They handed me to Iraqi police to get rid of me," he declared as he left the group.

The highest-ranking Mujahedeen to escape was Qorban Ali Husseini Nezhad, a 30-year member who was part of the MEK’s foreign affairs team, as well as a translator. Nezhad escaped after arriving in Camp Liberty in April and, like the rest of the defectors, described MEK more as a cult than a terrorist organization.

However, confirming long-held suspicions, Nezhad also said that thanks to deals between Saddam and Massoud Rajavi, MEK spied for Iraq’s intelligence service and received payment from the ill-conceived oil-for-food program.

A modern type is using the pretext of human rights and democracy against adversaries and opponents whenever it suits. It is not surprising to see them proposing annihilation of human beings and supporting the most tyrannical and brutal approaches in order to reach their selfish, anti-human interests. It is not also surprising to see that terrorists who are committing the most horrible crimes, or have the potentiality, are sponsored by the states and supported by the advocates that not only appreciate their bellicose, aggressive attitude of opposition but are also nice to them so long as they are serving as useful servants.

Mojahedin Khalq Organization MKO/MEK/MKI/PMOI strategy of armed warfare that constitutes its organizational infrastructure from its very formation has confronted the organization with a new challenge in spite of its widespread propaganda to convince the West it has made revisions. But it seems that MKO gets much advantage out of an equivocal attitude. In many occasions, MKO has admitted the necessity of armed struggle as an ideological necessity that constitutes the violent ontology of MKO. And that is what the western advocates of MKO expect it more than its chanting slogans of democracy particularly when they are reportedly in a warlike array for hostile purposes against the Iranian regime.

Reported to have spoken on Capitol Hill, General Thomas McInerney USAF (ret) alongside former CIA officer Clare Lopez demanded the US to abandon diplomatic efforts with Iran and to remove MEK from the terrorist list, and prepare for all-out war. They argued that the time had passed to resolve the nuclear issue with Iran, and the US should instead actively pursue regime change by military and covert means. He called for the Obama administration to remove the MEK from the Foreign Terrorist Organization list, which under current law prohibits the United States from working with the group:

“The MEK is being thrown under the bus by the Obama administration. The Clinton and Bush administration also threw them under the bus. It is criminal what has been done there and how we have treated these people who have been such valuable allies to us.”

In their debate over whether to go to war with Iranian regime, hawks once more draw MKO along to pat as a valuable ally, and no doubt it has proved to be. Crime, as they define it, is not the atrocities perpetrated by the terrorists their own administrations have blacklisted for undeniable and sound evidences; it is dismissing the rewards they had promised to provide notwithstanding the undisputable slaughter of many thousands of lives recorded in the group’s nearly half-decade long history of armed struggle.

The hawks’ suggestion to delist MKO as the valuable allay in the battle against Iran once more verifies the fact that some other colleagues definitely put the finger on in the State Department’s report presented to Congress on MKO in 1994, stressing that “They [Mojahedin] established an organization dedicated to armed struggle”. The blatant truth is that they are in need of no human rights activists or seekers of democracy, however hollow the slogans are. They are in need of some names in their propaganda warfare to bully the adversary, however hollow the name is.

MKO is only a name manipulated in a political game to warranty interests, although it does anything in its power to survive, being it blatant violation of human rights and breaching the principles of democracy. To be fair, delisting MKO never helps to liberate its enslaved members but serves the interests of its sponsors and advocates. The emergency issue to be dealt with at the moment is survival of many hundred suffering members of MKO abused at the hands of the group as the pretext of human rights violation.
