Darius Balafkandeh, MKO defector joined his family

On Monday September19, Mr. Darius Balafkandeh joined his family, Nejat Society, Gilan branch reported. Mr. Balafkandeh was warmly welcomed by his family who were awaiting his return for years.

Embraced by his mother, he said with watery eyes:

“The MKO is nothing but a liar. Since the moment I decided to flee the strictly controlled system of Rajavi, I tried to reach Iraqi forces protecting Camp Ashraf with great difficultly. I was welcomed by families picketing in front of camp Ashraf. I have to say bravely that when I faced Iranian officials at the Embassy in Iraq, I was surprised to see their humanly kind treatment toward me. I found out that I had been influenced by Rajavi’s indoctrination and forced presence in the group. I had only heard lies during those years. I am really embarrassed now.”

Darius’s mother was really moved by visiting her son after many years of waiting. She was crying kissing and hugging her son. She was thankful to the God for she could see her beloved son before her death. She hoped that other families could be able to see the return of their loved children to home and motherland.

Nejat Society also hopes the release of others held imprisoned at Camp Ashraf.

Open letter to Mr. Ad Melkert , head of delegation of the UN in Iraq

The media related to pmoi quoted by you, claimed that you ,as the head of delegation of the United Nations in Iraq , are reluctant and opposed to the expelling pmoi from Iraq which will happen till end of 2011. We do not know that such quotation and remark by you is true or not.
The members of Kanoon Iran Ghalam Association ,who some of them have more than 20 years of membership and activity inside pmoi relations in Iraq and Europe and at present time they are in Europe as separated members, political critics and experts of this organization ,would like to draw your attention to the following facts:

1. You Know by now that the name of this organization stayed in the terrorist list of the US state department for 2011.

2. In this terrorist list, there is a de facto emphasis of undemocratic relations against the members of this organization which is existing in their internal relations.

3. The members of this organization are deprived of their fundamental rights which is written and mentioned in the United Nations Charter, like right of marriage, right of meeting with their loved ones and their parents freely.

4. This organization has kept their members as prisoners and captives and in this regard the pmoi operatives do not let the dissident members leave the organization.

5. Under these circumstances according to the United Nations’ humanitarian and organizational duties, the United Nations should intervene and prevent any kind of violent activities, abuse and exploitation of those stranded members.

You should be informed that the pmoi operatives are trying their best to stay in Iraq on purpose and their desire is to keep their organization intact, in this regard they have begun deceiving the public opinion to show themselves as innocent people to prevent their stranded members from reaching to their desires which is freedom and justice.
Recently the Guardian Newspaper wrote that ¨ the pmoi operatives had given money to the former American officials for their participation and speech in pmoi rallies¨, and in this regard the Voice of America quoted by Huffington Post reported that ¨ propaganda in favor of pmoi is a good source for the US former politicians to fill their pockets with millions of dollars¨

Unfortunately we should inform you that between the financial abuses and captivity of those stranded members in that organization , Ashraf in Iraq , there is a logical and direct connection. You should know that the premiere objective of keeping those stranded members in that organization on Iraq soil is to defend and protect the life of Massoud Rajavi, the pmoi spiritual leader who is still in Iraq. Those stranded members have been used as cannon fodder and human shields by pmoi operatives to protect him and confront with any unpredictable events. The pmoi internal relations, character and its leadership substantially is not equivalent to any democratic parties.
This organization is run and controlled like a religious cult. A cult which does not believe in freedom of thoughts and free elections and it indoctrinates its beliefs on its members.
The leadership in pmoi is not a political matter on the contrary it is totally a religious and sacred position which is comparable with the leadership in Al Qaida and Massoud Rajavi’s position in pmoi is the same as Ben Laden’s in Al Qaida.
You, as the head of the UN delegation in Iraq, are in your last days of your mission, we are expecting you to think about the trampled rights of those pmoi stranded members one more time and you know perfectly that the choice of a free life is their legitimate and fundamental right which has been taken from them. We are urging you to convey our letter to your successor in UN office in Baghdad.

Preventing more abuses and suppression of those stranded members in pmoi, it is better to shut down the Ashraf garrison, the container of pmoi cruelty, systematic suppression, terrorism and violence in Iraq, as soon as possible and the pmoi stranded members’ rights should be recognized and respected individually by the United Nations and they should have a chance to live in the free world.

MKO Plans to Assassinate Jalal Talabani, Ayatollah Hakim

A defected member of the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization unveiled that MKO ringleaders had issued an order to assassinate Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and former Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Baqir al-Hakim.
The defected MKO member said that the ringleaders of the terrorist group, specially Massoud Rajavi, had called on the members to be ready to assassinate the two renowned Iraqi opposition figures 18 years ago.
The defected member also revealed that the MKO leaders hired a number of spies to chase the defected members and find their living place to assassinate them as well.
Defection has increased in the MKO in recent years. Earlier another defected member of the MKO unveiled that the ringleaders of the group are using every means within their reach to control their dissident members, including life threats, to keep members in the group’s main stronghold in Northern Iraq.
"Massoud Rajavi (the main ringleader of the MKO) has announced many times that if anybody wants to escape from (the camp) Ashraf (in Iraq), he/she will be killed or executed," Abdollatif Chahardari said in April.
Also in March, another defected member of the MKO revealed that the female members of the group have been living under captivity for more than 25 years and are not even allowed to appear in public places alone.
"It can be firmly said that 95% of the women in Ashraf Camp (the terrorist group’s resort in Iraq) have not even been allowed to step in Iraq’s public and recreational places alone all throughout the last 25 years," the defected member said.
The former member of the MKO also revealed that nearly 70% of the female members of the terrorist group are single and have not been allowed to marry anyone in or outside the group.
And only a total 10% of the married members have been allowed to have children, he added.
The MKO has been in Iraq’s Diyala province since the 1980s.
Iraqi security forces took control of the training base of the MKO at Camp Ashraf – about 60km (37 miles) north of Baghdad – in 2009 and detained dozens of the members of the terrorist group.
The Iraqi authority also changed the name of the military center from Camp Ashraf to the Camp of New Iraq.
Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the camp are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.
A May 2005 Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.
According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.
Numerous articles and letters posted on the Internet by family members of MKO recruits confirm reports of the horrific abuse that the group inflicts on its own members and the alluring recruitment methods it uses.
The most shocking of such stories includes accounts given by former British MKO member Ann Singleton and Mustafa Mohammadi — the father of an Iranian-Canadian girl who was drawn into the group during an MKO recruitment campaign in Canada.
Mohammadi recounts his desperate efforts to contact his daughter, who disappeared several years ago – a result of what the MKO called a ‘two-month tour’ of Camp Ashraf for teenagers.
He also explains how the group forces the families of its recruits to take part in pro-MKO demonstrations in Western countries by threatening to kill their loved ones.
Lacking a foothold in Iran, the terrorist group recruits ill-informed teens from Iranian immigrant communities in Western states and blocks their departure afterwards.
The MKO, whose main stronghold is in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.
Before an overture by the EU, the MKO was on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze. Yet, the MKO puppet leader, Maryam Rajavi, who has residency in France, regularly visited Brussels and despite the ban enjoyed full freedom in Europe.
The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, a number of EU parliamentarians said in a recent letter in which they slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British terror list. The EU officials also added that the group has no public support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).
Iraq had announced earlier this month that members of the terrorist group must leave by the end of 2011.

Regarding to your recent and formal interview , we would like to inform you, as a representative of English people in the oldest Parliament which is known as the symbol of democracy for more than 500 years , of some important points.

Lord Corbett ! In this interview which had been implemented and carried out by the Persian section of the BBC, without contemplating of the news broadcasting and journalism prestige, you as pmoi lobby had reversed and censored all the realities which are existing inside the pmoi organization . your interview reminds us of the interviews of some characters of the eastern part of the world.

You are saying in this interview that you do not have any desire to know anything about the internal structure and problems of pmoi! And the only thing which is important for you is that pmoi is trying its best to finish and terminate the breach of human rights which is happening in Iran! But you do not answer why is not important for you the internal problems and structure of such organization? And it is more interesting that you do not want to know or hear anything about their internal problems and structure consequently it is very questionable.
Lord Corbett , you should know that we are the people who had lived more than you inside this organization, and our question is ,do you know that what is waiting for the people who have a chance to escape and leave the pmoi organization after 10 or 20 years?

Is it important in your culture the life of the people? and how do they live?

Where have you read or heard as a supporter and advocate of the human rights that the condition for supporting of an organization or a government , is just by supporting their slogans? Is not true that the first condition for supporting an organization or a government or ……etc is to survey and scrutinize the internal relations of such organization or government? Because slogans can be fake and unreal!

While the families of the pmoi members have been waiting behind the gates of Ashraf garrison for more than a year to see their loved ones and their request has been rejected up to now by the pmoi operatives and instead they have been slandered and insulted by the pmoi operatives, how can the leaders of such organization claim the democracy and human rights in their slogans?

Lord Corbett , the essence of fact finding should be existing in any person who claims supporting and advocating for freedom ,the human rights and democracy . This essence of fact finding begets more responsibilities and double your responsibility as a member of House of Lords and House of Representatives and we believe that your first priority as a member of House of Lords should be the fact finding .

Lord Corbett , what are you going to lose if you decide to have a conversation and exchanging views with the separated members of pmoi preferably in front of media? But please listen to our request one more time which is saying that you have judged unilaterally in your interview, but we as the victims of such organization who have inherited many pains and miseries of this organization ,pmoi, and we would like to share all those experiences with you and at the end we would like to hear your respond and opinion ,as a defender of human rights and democracy ,for all those miseries and painful moments that each one of us had experienced in that organization.

According to your speech , you do not receive any money from this passer , consequently you respect to the fact finding , so if in your country and in your capital , London, is not possible to have such meeting with you ,our association , Iran Lantern( Iran Fanoos) is inviting you to have this meeting with the separated members of pmoi in Germany.

America is the main criminal force behind terrorism in Iraq

Open letter to the honorable and distinguished Prime-Minister of Iraq, Mr. Nouri Al- Maliki I, Ali Jahani, am the former member of PMOI

Respectfully, I, Ali Jahani, am the former member of PMOI (MKO, Mujahedin Khalgh). During twenty years of my close activity in this organization, I had been witnessing many terrifying and horrible experiences of breach of the human rights and awful crimes which probably are unbelievable for some people.

I ,after 2 decades of active cooperation with this organization which its preliminary objectives were 180 degree different than its final objectives ,fortunately could rescue myself from PMOI after the fall of the Saddam Hussein , the dictator of Iraq, in 2004 and after spending 4 years in the American camp , TIPF, which was located near the PMOI main garrison , Ashraf, I could find my way to Turkey and from Turkey I could come to Germany and in Germany beside my life I have been trying my best to reveal and disclose the PMOI inhumane and un political activities by my enlightening activities and my awareness disclosure . Now I would like to share with you some of my experiences which I had seen closely during my membership in PMOI.

1. Espionage, political and military cooperation with the government of Saddam Hussein and PMOI participation in killing of Kurds and suppression of the Shiites in southern part of Iraq.

2. Compulsory separation of the children from their biological parents inside PMOI relations and imposing and forcing the married people to get divorced from each other.

3. Any connection with the family is forbidden and the PMOI leaders force their members to kill any kind of sentiment and feeling with their beloved ones and in stead the members should worship Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

4. Building prisons in their internal relations and torture the dissidents inside those prisons just because they were against the PMOI inhumane policies inside the PMOI relations.

5. The strong censorship inside the PMOI relations about “News” and forbidding having any personal radio and the only News source was the PMOI news network.

6. After the fall of the Saddam Hussein, the Iraq dictator, the PMOI leaders have not allowed the families of their stranded members to visit them and right now there are many families behind the closed gates of Ashraf garrison who have been waiting for more than a year to visit their loved ones but so far the leaders of PMOI have not allowed them.

As you are well informed that since the beginning of the April 2011 there were bloody clashes between the PMOI stranded members and your military forces which had begot many casualties , more than 10 people were killed and hundreds were wounded, but these clashes are not the first one and will not be the last one either.

The leadership of PMOI without having any military achievement send his stranded members to fight against your military force to be killed or injured just to take advantage of their blood for his political objectives and for conservation of his cultic entity and position, but everybody knows that PMOI has remained in your country as unwelcome guests and as collaborator and partner of Saddam Hussein in his bloody crimes against humanity.

The leadership of PMOI does not want to leave your soil without bloodshed and clashes. They do not want to pay the price of being responsive to their bloody cooperation with Iraq dictator during eight years war between Iran and Iraq and their recent unjust clashes with the Iraqi forces which resulted to the death of many stranded members of PMOI, so the leadership of PMOI is looking for more bloody clashes and violence to hide the realities mentioned above and annihilate more of its dissidents in the future clashes. The clash between the stranded members and the Iraqi military forces is the only solution which the leadership of PMOI is thinking about to get rid of its dissidents.

You are maybe familiar with some of the PMOI inhumane and anti-human rights activities which exist like cultic rules and regulations in their internal relations and as a result of this fact, cultic rules and regulations, the cults for conserving their cultic entity are ready to sacrifice their members and they are capable of doing any violent and vicious activity for their survival.

In your recent interview with the news network, Al alam , you mentioned that some of the western countries have supported this organization financially consequently you want to make a complaint against those countries. Your decision is very great and admirable and I believe the main criminal in this issue is United States of America because of its support of this terrorist organization on Iraq soil without consideration of the will of Iraqi people and their honorable and popular government.

I, the former member of this organization, am fully pleased of your decision regarding the expulsion of this terrorist organization from your country till end of this year, but I am urging you, regarding to accomplish the expulsion mandate of PMOI, do not allow any clashes to occur between your military forces and PMOI stranded members because PMOI leadership is looking for such bloody clashes to survive. I am urging you to solve this problem as peaceful as possible and the peaceful solution results in freedom of the stranded members and will make their families very happy.

Respectfully , first I would like to introduce myself . I am Milad Ariayei who spent more than 20 years of my youth in pmoi and I would like to share my experiences with you about pmoi. the experiences which are the yield and the outcome of my life in there.
I ,as a result of living closely with pmoi , am completely familiar and acquainted with their violent and savage thoughts ,consequently I can inform you about the prospects , outlooks and objectives of this organization and I can be a very useful source of information in this regard and i hope you can utilize my experiences for a better judgment over pmoi file.
I ,as a critic and opposed to such thoughts which has developed in my country and has grown among the opposition groups of Iran and Iranian people , would like to speak to you and as the former member of the central council and committee of this organization, would like to draw your attention to the following vital facts :

Prelude
As you know that the current world has been suffering a lot from the terrorism and the terrorist and fundamentalist thoughts which has jeopardized the routine and normal life of every human beings.

As you know that the terrorist groups with their violent objectives are trying their best to compel and impose their retarded ideology and thoughts to the people and in case of any sign of resistance and opposition to their thoughts they will respond in the bloodiest way possible and they begin to physical removal and assassinate their opponents and anyone who has any dissent with their thoughts and ideology.

Our current world has been confronting with different challenges as a result of This retarded and fundamentalist ideology and thoughts, consequently the responsibility of all the world political figures specially the ones who have more influence in the world than others is doubled . I believe that you as the secretary of state of the United states with your expert diagnosis and timely decision making can beget the condition which the people of the world can live peacefully.
In the Middle East and in one of the most stressful countries of the world , Iran , the pmoi is one of the terrorist organizations which has been listed and designated as a terrorist organization in the US state department -terrorist list since 1997and since then This organization has tried its best to escape from justice by changing its face. Pmoi in the condition which there has not been any changes in its thoughts and objectives ,is trying hard in the current world to reach to its unjust objectives and needs which are wrapped in fake gold , by deceiving the political thoughts and they are ready to sacrifice thousands to reach to their unjust objectives.
Now I would like to inform you about this organization swiftly and simply.

The ideology of pmoi
Pmoi in its ideology and intellectual basis believes in physical removal of its opponents and they do not believe in any political or ideological dialogue with their opponents and they believe that any dialogue with their opponents is futile and fruitless. They believe ideologically that anyone who is killed for their holy objectives and their cause will enter to the paradise.

The formation of pmoi
Pmoi does not have the character , relations, formation or establishment and the leadership of an organization or a democratic party. This organization believes in the spiritual leader or in the Arabic expression , Amirol Momenin.
Massoud Rajavi is the permanent spiritual leader of this current and claims to have connection with the 12th imam (Imam Zaman, The 12th imam of Shiites who is absent and will emerge someday in the current world ) . The spiritual leader of this organization with this way of thinking and ideology never believes in democratic election within its organization and for this reason till he lives he will be the permanent leader and the owner of this organization, consequently he will not be responsive to his members , supporters and even the Iranian people.

This formation and establishment runs like a confined religious cult(sect) which does not believe in the freedom of thoughts, votes , and public opinion and it tries its best to impose its will upon others.
In Massoud Rajavi’s ideology and beliefs , he is the only one who has the ability to know the facts of our current world and he is the only one who can understand the reality of creation , universe and political relations.
The leadership in this organization is sacred and the leadership is a belief and it is not a political matter and in comparison with Bin Laden , the political and spiritual leader of Al Qaeda, Massoud Rajavi has the same position as Bin Laden had.

Pmoi and the issue of freedom and democracy
-The pmoi internal relations is based on religious beliefs and like the other ideological systems , they are not committed to any principled and fundamental basis of human rights, the definite freedoms mentioned in the United Nation’s charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
-The dissidents and critics are severely suppressed and oppressed inside the pmoi relations.
-There is no individual and personal security and safety for the critics inside pmoi relations.
-The dissidents are confronted with harassment , insult, humiliation , torture and imprisonment.
-The individual freedom , the humane prestige and personality , individual security and safety, right to freedom of marriage and divorce and freedom of expression and opinion are all severely suppressed.
– They are so called courts of law inside pmoi for the dissidents and critics who desire to leave and maximum punishment is the death penalty.

The management systems and practices in pmoi

There is no communication whatsoever between the members of this organization with the outside world and any means such as radio , television , newspaper and magazines are not provided for the members. The intellectual and political feeding is carried out just by pmoi news sources such as internal bulletin , training within the organization, and closed circuit televisions .

Nobody has the right to discuss about politics and political issues. Any connection between 2 friends and family is completely forbidden. such connections are labeled as liberal links and they are totally forbidden. Gathering of 2 or 3 persons out of pmoi supervision is completely forbidden and will have harsh consequences for the perpetrators.
The only way that we can value the pmoi internal relations is to compare their relations with the similar ideology in the medieval.

Madam Secretary of State

It is unbelievable but you should know that in 21 century inside the pmoi relations nobody is allowed to have a radio and nobody is allowed to listen to the news and the only way that the members of pmoi can receive news is by pmoi formal channels.
Nobody inside the pmoi relations has no rights and everything in pmoi is compulsory and obligatory. Every person who enters to pmoi relations should be completely obedient and devoted.

Reading book in pmoi relations is completely forbidden and if someone has a passion to read a book he or she will be considered as dissident who wants to leave pmoi. Inside Ashraf garrison , there is a library but it is just for deceiving the guests and outsiders.

Pmoi and how they deal with other characters and Iranian opposition inside and outside of Iran

As a result of Pmoi suppressive and anti democratic nature and character, the pmoi does not recognize any move or action from other political oppositions and instead they attack to those political oppositions offensively . in pmoi point of view there are more than hundred political and open minded activists in United states and European countries who are working for Iranian intelligence service . the pmoi insult and accusations toward Iranian political activists is not confined just to Iranians even Mrs. Madeleine Albright the former Secretary of state of the united states was slandered by pmoi as an agent of Iranian intelligence service. Every one in European parliament or in UK House of Lords also can be insulted , labeled and accused by pmoi as an agent of Iranian intelligence service . It is worth noting that these kind of accusations and insult are pmoi known tactics to escape from the revelation of their real entity and criticism and they have chosen this kind of tactic to escape from being responsive about their past and internal relations.

Pmoi deals and confronts with its opponents and critics in European countries by intimidation, slander , insult, violence and mace bearing. Up to now more than ten session and meeting of other political opposition and human rights activists have been attacked by the followers of Massoud Rajavi and the participants in those sessions and meetings have been badly beaten up by pmoi followers.

I am hoping that by this brief letter I would inform you about pmoi and I would like you to share my experiences about pmoi with your colleagues and experts in state department to determine their accuracy.

I hope that pmoi endeavors in delisting itself from your terrorist list by reading my letter is evaluated and scrutinized . I would like to announce that I am fully ready to answer any question in this regard.

Memoirs of Ms. Zahra Mirbaqeri; MKO ex-member

I am Zahra Sadat Mirbaqeri. I was supposed to be a member of MKO leadership Council [she was a member of Experimental Leadership Council] before my I left the MKO’s Camp Ashraf. During the few past years, I had been practicing to leave the organization and finally my last plan worked. I could manage to hide in the new Iraqi hospital on the western gate of the Camp Ashraf and then I succeeded to release myself.

I can’t include my whole story in this interview because I am not able to sit down or stand up for a long time due to long-term, terrible physical torture I endured in Camp Ashraf. My medical documents confirmed by Iraqi specialists and doctors, based on my poor health condition are available.

I briefly notice a few issues:

1. Firstly I’d like to notify an important issue to public opinion. Camp Ashraf leaders have taken my brother Alireza and my two sisters as hostages. They don’t allow them to leave the camp and come to see me and my mother who is suffering heart disease and waiting to see her children. I seriously ask all human right bodies, UN, ICRC, European Parliament and particularly Iraqi government for help.

Naturally, after the release of my testimony, Ashraf leaders will force my siblings to make TV interviews against me by threatening and torturing them. So I already warn about it.

2. The second issue is about torture of patients in Camp Ashraf. I personally received my death sentence that was handed over to me by Zohreh Qaemi (because they were informed of my decision to leave the group) I am one of those tortured patients in the organization. I shortly describe the medieval tortures I suffered personally.

It’s not possible to describe or even number the tortures I bore in here. It requires me to write a book in the future in order to tell the story of my grieves:

After three meetings that were held as my trials _ in which a hundred people attended_ they took me to my forth trial while I was sick in bed. They pulled me all the way on the floor beating me off to the meeting where other members were ready to insult me, impose peer pressure on me under the command of Faeze Mohabatkar. They verbally and physically abused me for seven hours.

They pulled my hands towards floor, forcing me to sit down while I could hardly ever sit down because of my painful waist and neck. They took off my neck pain necklace so that I suffered a worse condition. I exclude an other maltreatment they practiced to recall because it even caused e other women participating the meeting to complaint against their act.
They violently shouted in my left ear that was badly infectious due to previous tortures. They said: “what sort of patient are you who can resist so much?”

…in another occasion they attacked me while I was in bed in Ashraf’s internal hospital. They beat my neck, right shoulder and arm. The pain lasted for months but they didn’t take me to doctors [outside the Camp] because it was a scandal for them.

3. They refused to give me urgent medications so that I would die soon.

4. They refused to inject medications for infections like anti-biotic for my ear. They refused to give me medications to stop my dizziness.

5. Despite I felt terribly dizzy due to my infectious ear; they forced me to attend their long organizational meetings in order to make me die sooner.

6. They refused to let me have x-ray test that was prescribed for me by a doctor. My knees were painful because of long-time standing on feet during ideological meetings.
At the end, once more I appeal public opinion and human right activists to help hostages held in Camp Ashraf release and aid them to take refuge in European countries.
I myself have to travel to European country to get treatment and surgery. I appreciate all friends who help me with my problems, in advance.

More MKO members defected

Four other members of the notorious Mujahidin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) have defected from the group and surrendered themselves to the Iraqi forces.

The spokesperson of the Iraqi Defense Ministry said that four members MKO have escaped Camp Ashraf in Diyala province 60 Km north of Baghdad.

In a press conference organized by the Iraqi Defense Ministry, the defected MKO members said since the US led invasion of Iraq in 2003, the leaders of the organization have turned the camp into a prison and the residents of the camp are completely cut off from the outside world. They also said that the leaders of the camp have ordered the members to encounter the Iraqi forces if they tried to enter the camp.

In April the MKO members clashed with the Iraqi security forces. The MKO claimed that the Iraqi forces killed 34 of its members in the clashes. But Iraqi forces rejecting the claim said that these people have been killed by the organization itself. The former MKO members said many residents of Camp Ashraf , who are under immense pressure, want to escape but are afraid and unsure of the future. The said scores of MKO members have been killed by the organization recently.

The MKO has carried out many acts of terror against Iranians and cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq . Iran has repeatedly called on the Iraqi government to expel the group, but the US has been blocking the expulsion by pressuring the Iraqi government.

Three months ago another four MKO members defected the camp and according to the Iraqi Defence ministry the number of the defected MKO members has risen to 58 members. The group is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the International community.

Mr. Darius Balafkandeh escaped Rajavis’ Cult Camp Ashraf

Mr. Darius Balafkandeh (Ghaffar) could bravely manage to escape Camp Ashraf where he was imprisoned for ten years. He dared to break physical and mental bars the cult of Rajavi had imposed on their life for years.

He is now tasting freedom among his family especially his beloved old mother who had been awaiting his return for years.
