BERLIN – The notorious MKO terror group will continue to be monitored by Germany’s domestic Verfassungsschutz intelligence agency despite the decision by the European Union to delist the MKO , a German government source told IRNA in Berlin Tuesday.
Just because the EU has lifted the ban, it does not mean that we don’t have our own national security considerations, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
For instance, parts of the German Left party are being subjected to surveillance by the Verfassungsschutz although they are not blacklisted by the EU, he added.
The official made clear that Germany’s federal secret service and its state branches will continue their observation of the MKO.
Each German state has also its own separate Verfassungsschutz intelligence apparatus.
The MKO has been involved in the mass killings of thousands of innocent Iranians over the past 30 years.
Furthermore, the Israeli-backed MKO terror grouplet has also collaborated with the former Saddam regime, in brutally massacring tens of thousands of Iraq Kurds and Shiites.
Germany
Muajhedin-e-Kahlq Iran was considered as the powerful armed opposition against Iran and its objectives was the evident overthrow of the Iranian
regime.
Until the fall of Saddam Hussein, the organization was in the spotlight by its National Liberation Army, the military wing of MKO that has launched many terrorist operations against Iran.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran, the political arm of MKO which is active in Europe and North America, has got the attention of the world due to its large-scale propaganda and systematic fund raising activities.
MKO has repeatedly succeeded to have public attention using its professional propagandistic skills.
The most significant example on the case are the self-immolation acts in London, Paris, Rome, Bern, under the pretext of French Security Police’s raid on MKO bases due to their illegal fundraising activities and terrorist operations (The investigation on MKO headquarters in Paris and 12 other locations and the arrest of 150 members.)
In that raid 9 million US dollars in cash and highly advanced transmission facilities were found at MKO base.
The arrest warrant was issued for 11 of high-ranking officials and Maryam Rajavi, the wife of Masud Rajavi, the MKO leader. Maryam Rajavi, who is called the president – in exile of the organization, was released together with the other detainees.
This bulletin includes the clandestine activities of MKO and the process of their cooperation with Saddam Hussein, their current situation and importance. It also presents the totalitarian characteristic of the organization that has not denounced violence in its political struggle even after the disarmament of its military arm.
Honorable Ambassador of Germany in Sweden
Your Excellency!
With regards, I wish to inform you that the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) has released news concerning the trip of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi to Germany in its entire media system.
You surely are aware that the MKO is in the list of terrorist groups in the United States, Canada and the European Union for murdering the people of Iran as well as the people of Iraq. Mrs. Maryam Rajavi also has a legal file open in France for conducting terrorism and organizing crimes as well and fraud and money laundry.
My question is that how such person who is leading a terrorist destructive cult is allowed to freely travel to your democratic country.
I must emphasize that I am a former member of the MKO who is now objecting to supporting a terrorist leader.
My name is Sho’le Shadrm. I am 42 years old, and I am living in Sweden now for 14 years. I unfortunately lost 7 years of my life with the MKO in Iraq. As soon as I criticized the organization and tried to question the cult leader Massoud Rajavi and his wife Maryam, I was subject to all sorts of insults and assaults and I was put under sever mental pressure and I even was jailed. You can imagine that what sort of a place an Iraqi jail under Saddam Hussein can be. I was condemned by the MKO like many others who had criticized the leadership, and we were handed over to the Iraqi security officers to suffer our lives. They hoped that by doing so we would regret and plead for mercy and go back to the MKO again. But most of us resisted against difficulties and I finally managed to come to Sweden. I am now living with my Swedish husband and our four children. But I must point out that I still suffer from the reminiscences of the days I spent with the cult in Iraq.
Your Honor!
Wouldn’t it be appropriate if Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is asked about all the miseries that hundreds of individuals like me had to experience just because they wanted to leave the MKO? For what reason the most basic human rights was deprived of me and many others like me? I suggest you read the report released by the Human Rights Watch on May 2005. You would realize for yourself that how the most preliminary human rights was systematically abused inside the MKO. In this report cases such as solitary confinements, torture, and even murdering the opponents and critics have clearly been mentioned.
Regardless of all political affairs which could perhaps be the main reason for the German support of the MKO and the Rajavis, shouldn’t some attention be paid to the systematic violation of human rights within this organization? Wouldn’t be better if the German parliamentarians asked Mrs. Rajavi about the harsh situation of the children of the members and castrating the women? Shouldn’t she be asked about compulsory divorces, abandoning the children, mind manipulation of the members, and rejecting family members inside the organization? Could political interests be an excuse to close eyes on violation of human rights?
I am anxiously looking forward to receiving a reply from you
Best Wishes
Sho’le Shadram – former member of the MKO – Stockholm

Germany’s Green Party has rejected an attempt by Maryam Rajavi to re-brand the MKO terrorist group as a credible and legitimate partner.
Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the outlawed Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO), or People’s Mujahedin Organization, recently met with members of the German Parliament in a bid to rally support for the removal of the group from the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations.
“The Iranian exile organization of the People’s Mojahedin Organization which acts under the cover of the National Council of Resistance of Iran is not a suitable partner in dialogue for a responsible policy towards Iran,”a spokesperson for the Green Party, Claudia Roth said late Thursday.

Maryam Rajavi directly ordered the massacre of Kurdish people
Roth told reporters that
the group’s position on the EU terror list should be carefully evaluated, as the Rajavi organization has a ‘past of terror’ and assisted the ‘crimes’ of the deposed dictator, Saddam Hussein, in Iraq.
The Green Party, which holds 51 out of 614 seats in the Bundestag, said it clearly dissociates itself from considering the Mujahedin Khalq Organization as a legitimate ‘democratic Iranian opposition’.
The MKO which has been listed as a terrorist organization in Iran, the European Union and the United States, has a long and bloody history of targeting Iranian civilians and government officials.
Incidents linked to the group include the June 1981 bombing of the offices of
the Islamic Republic Party in which 72 high-ranking Iranian officials including judiciary chief, Ayatollah Mohmmad Beheshti, and tens of Majlis deputies were killed.
The following August the group assassinated President Mohmmad Ali Rajae’i, Prime Minister Javad Bahonar and National Police Chief Ali Dastgerdi at the Prime Ministry building.
The MKO also assisted Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, in the massacre of thousands of innocent Iraqis and is responsible for several acts of terror in Iran including the 1994 bombing of a revered Shia shrine in Mashhad, eastern Iran.
In 2003, French anti-terrorist police arrested 165 members in Paris, including Maryam Rajavi, for ‘associating with wrongdoers in relation with a terrorist undertaking.’
More recently, around 10 members of the notorious organization were arrested in France and Switzerland on charges of money laundering on September 29, 2008.
Preliminary 2006 report of "Protection of Constitution of Germany’s office" (Verfassungsschutz) on the MKO After it was determined that Iranian soccer team would take part in Germany’s 2006 world cup, there were reports on the possibility of NCRI’s sabotages during Iran’s matches in Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Leipzig. In this regard, Awaa Association in Köln, comprising of former MKO members who have admittedly quit the organization fully, warned in its website about possible terrorist attacks including self-immolations during world cup by MKO supporters. In response, Justice Association tied to NCRI in Köln claimed that the Iranian regime is bringing suicide volunteers to Germany by the assistance of Awaa association. The sensitivity of the accusations by two sides rose when it was announced that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would come to Germany to watch the games. In this regard, NCRI representatives in Germany declared that they would hold street demonstrations to protest to the issue. Now, it has been determined that NCRI’s planned demonstrations were not held in and out of stadiums due to the early departure of Iranian team, the system of selling tickets, absence of Ahmadinejad and particularly the vigilance of security systems of Germany. Only 30 to 70 took part in small demonstrations in Köln. These demonstrations were focused on Iranian nuclear issue and human rights violations. These demonstrations are determined to be of low influence. Iran Ghalam – 2007/01/11
2006, Report
The organization[MEK] wants an absolute resignation and having authority over the whole world. The organization is under the authority of Rajavis couple. The National Liberation Army is ruled by women.
Women’s ruling in NCRI is presented as a model against the Iranian government.
The propaganda for democracy made by the organization toward the outside world is not used inside the organization. A type of leadership system, cult like, around the personality of Maryam and Masud with group obligation and Stalinist Cult leadership and psychological suppression have caused the members to suppress their own individuality in order to achieve their duties. They should obey the order of their leaders without criticizing. The members were even forced to divorce their spouses, by Masud. They were isolated from their families to focus on their duties in MKO completely and without any deviation. Their children has been brought to Western counties and kept in the so-called Children’s Houses.
The management of NCRI is under the authority of long –time women members who have always been responsible to report everything to the leaders completely and continually, in Iraq.
Since they missed their control headquarters in Iraq, the leadership must be under the control of their headquarters in Europe, ei in France.
One of the characteristics of MKO’s leadership is to circulate the members all over the world which is used in any dimension of their work. In the past they often used this circulation to move the female commanders of NLA to European headquarters or their headquarters in North America.
The continual circulation of members makes them not having a specialty in only a type of work so that they are prevented to create another center of power by side of Masud and Maryam. Therefore, in order to circulate members in the world and to keep the hierarchy of leadership and to be safe from Iranian Intelligence Service, they use a series of human smuggling system. They used false identities to smuggle members in the past. They use their supporters’ identities. The members of NLA receive serious military training and also guerrilla warfare training in about 15 camps in Iraq. Their weapons were firstly brought from Iraq. Therefore MKO was depended on Iraqi government and was supported by Iraqi state obviously.
Germany has reaffirmed the terrorist status of the MKO grouplet in its 2005 terror report released by the German domestic intelligence service Verfassungsschutz on Monday.
The report pointed to the fact the MKO was "responsible for numerous (terrorist) attacks in Iran."
Berlin has so far resisted intense MKO pressure tactics to have the terror grouplet removed from its official terror blacklist.
