“Platform Manipulation” by the US-backed MEK to launch war against Iran

“We want Twitter to be a place where people can make human connections, find reliable information, and express themselves freely and safely,” Twitter help center asserts.

However, twitter has turned out to be a field for a “troll farm” of a thousand people inside the camps of Mujahedin Khalq (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Rajavi’s Cult) who work in three shifts to launch anti Iran disinformation advocating war and sanctions against Iran. Former member of the group Hassan Heirani who left it in 2017 has revealed the fact to various news outlets including the Guardian (November 2018) that have interviewed him.

And the most recent account on the MEK’s campaign of disinformation against Iran was exposed by Murtaza Hussein of the Intercept: The case of the fictional persona Heshmat Alavi who was run by a hundred operators in the MEK’s troll farm. [1]

This is definitely considered “Platform Manipulation”. So Twitter suspended the so-called Heshmat Alavi’s account.

Platform manipulation refers to the use of Twitter to mislead others and/or disrupt their experience by engaging in bulk, aggressive, or deceptive activity, according to the Twitter protocols. “This activity includes, but is not limited to, spam, malicious automation (malicious use of bots), and inauthentic account abuse (fake accounts).”
On March 2019, Twitter Help Center published an overview of platform manipulation and spam policy, defining it as using Twitter to engage in bulk, aggressive, or deceptive activity that misleads others and/or disrupts their experience. Twitter’s rule on accounts and identity states: “You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts. This includes using misleading account information to engage in spamming, abusive, or disruptive behavior.”
Misleading people by absolute charlatanism is not a new phenomenon. This has been used far earlier than the social media was created. A Concept like “freedom fighter” was once manipulated when it turned out to be “another man’s terrorist”. The concept is actually based on the famous proverb: the enemy of my enemy is my friend. That is why a team account run by a terrorist cult-like MEK is introduced as “an Iranian activist with a passion for equal rights” in the right wing US media.

John Limbert former official of US embassy in Tehran states in the American Prospect, “The MEK has made no secret of its goals: to provoke a war between the U.S. and Iran. In the aftermath, it calculates it would move into the wreckage and pick up the pieces.” [2]

Presenting a story of the MEK’s violent past and its anti-national approaches that has made it isolated among the Iranian public, Limbert warns the US authorities about the threat of the MEK as a violent cult. “Finally, we must never stop asking, “Who is pushing for war with Iran and why?””, he writes. “The answer should make it very clear we have no business provoking this conflict to serve the interests of an Iranian cult and its paid spokesman. [3]
Jason Rezaian of the Washington Post concludes his recent article on the IS-backed trolls on the Internet, “So, instead of resorting to false narratives and personal attacks, we should cultivate our Iran policy — because there still isn’t a coherent one — the old-fashioned way: by making real arguments, backing them up with actual evidence and prioritizing real people over the tactics of manipulation and fraud preferred by authoritarians.” [4]
Helen Buyniski of Russia Today editorial warns, “Alavi may have been unmasked, but there could be thousands more where he came from.” Refering to the recent removal of 4,779 Twitter accounts “associated or backed by Tehran”, she writes, “Twitter’s attempts to aid the US war effort by deplatforming thousands of pro-Iran accounts is an implicit endorsement of their activities. The Intercept’s comprehensive investigation of the Alavi persona essentially dropped the key to the MEK’s propaganda network in Twitter’s lap; their refusal to act on this information, merely removing the Alavi account without investigating the swamp of “coordinated inauthentic behavior” surrounding it, indicates they are content with being weaponized in the US propaganda war against Iran. Trolling is fine, as long as it’s “our guys” doing it.” [5]
The enemy of US enemy is the MEK. It is “their guys” because it is perfectly running their policy against Iranian nation. It is considered “freedom fighter” because it is considered terrorist by the Iranian nation. No surprise when President Trump calls Iranians “nation of terror” and uses the fictional stories fabricated by the terrorist MEK’s fictional persona to justify his policies against the Iranian nation. No matter that the MEK has the blood of thousands of people including six American nationals in its hands.

Who is Mahvash Sepehri?

Mahvash Sepehri nicknamed Nasrin is one of the most high-ranking members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ the Cult of Rajavi) positioned after Massoud and Maryam Rajavi in the hierarchy of the group. She was born in Sanandaj in 1956.

Sepehri was assigned as the forth head of the Elite Council in 1997. This way she got in the same rank as Maryam Rajavi was. The rank was called”the orbit of the ideological leader”.
Sepehri is notoriously known by the majority of MEK members and defectors. After Massoud and Maryam, she was the first person who was authorized to hold ideological sessions in the group. Ideological meetings are routine brainwashing sessions held in the MEK in which members undergo the most severe cult jargons including self-criticism, peer pressure and even verbal and physical abuse. Thus, she has had a key role to suppress dissident members and those who were willing to leave the group.

According to the testimonies of Maryam Sanjabi, former member of the group, in the early 2000s, Sepehri personally put about two hundred members of the group on trial. She sentenced them to imprisonment and torture and in several cases delivered them to the Iraqi notorious prison, Abu Quraib. The group leaders had labeled these members as “weak circles”!

“A building with a big hall was allocated to her to hold the trial sessions for dissident members”, Sanjabi writes.

“The sessions were exhausting and unbearable. The bitter memoirs of those days will not be wiped of the minds of those people. Mahvash Sepehri ordered her servants to beat and insult the tried person, spitting on him or her and throwing chairs on him or her. “

Mahvash Sepehri was the avant-garde of promoting the culture of violence and insult inside the MEK. She has also been a significant figure to coerce the women of the Elite Council of the group.

“Mahvash Sepehri officially declared in the meetings of the Elite Council that any woman who wanted to leave the establishment, would be slaughtered,” Sanjabi recalls. “Leaving the Elite Council was equal to death. That proper person had to swallow her cyanide capsule before leaving the group.”

Hamed Sarrafpour who defected the group after the collapse of Saddam Hussein and the disarmament of the group, recalls a conference at Camp Ashraf after the disappearance of Massoud Rajavi following the fall of his master Saddam. The MEK members in the conference were addressed by Massoud via phone call. He tried to introduce Sepehri as a role model for every Mujahed.

“Massoud described Mahvash Sepehri as a member who has totally denied her individuality,” Sarrafpour writes. “Then she was introduced by Maryam Rajavi as the head of the Elite Council! She seemed to be qualified for the position.”

Mahvash Sepehri could reach the unattainable position that was at the same level of the leadership just because she was perfectly radicalized by the leaders. Sanjabi believes that Sepehri was simply radicalized and turned into a zealous devotee of Massoud Rajavi because she had never been a knowledgeable person in politics or even in military issues. Her brain was shallow enough to receive any cult-like training by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi. She easily turned into the torturer of the MEK. “A large number of former members of the MEK who survived the group’s jail in Iraq, remember her as their head torturer,” Sanjabi states.

MEK claimed the responsibility of terror acts against civilians

In June 1998, a year after the election of the Iranian Reformist President, Mohammad Khatami, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) launched a new series of terrorist attacks in Iran. On June 2^nd, 1998 two mortar attacks and a bombing was launched in three locations in Tehran by the MEK.

The group’s operatives attacked the Tehran General Prosecutor’s Office on Shariati Avenue carrying the bomb in a handbag.

The bomb exploded in the corridor of the building killing three men including a Christian man who was the facilities engineer of the Justice department. Willholm Vigen was 52, married with two children. 21 people were injured in the attack too.

The MEK claimed the responsibility of the attack immediately and issued a statement claiming that the group’s “military units crushed the dozens of torturers and judges of the Iranian courts”!

The group’s propaganda completely denied that the attack had targeted civilians and particularly the Christian citizen. They claimed that Vigen’s funeral in a church in Tehran was attended by the Islamic revolutionary guards and agents of the Intelligence ministry!

The cult of Rajavi

Female operators in ISIS and MEK, victims of destructive cults

The recent report on the “the Most Notorious Wives and Mothers of Daesh” published on Sputnik, should not be taken for granted, neither should it be considered as the problem of Daesh (ISIS). [1] Moreover, the report is supported by several reports previously published by other news outlets, for instance the Guardian’s one on an American woman of ISIS, Hoda Muthana. [2]

The bitter stories of wives and mothers of ISIS fighters have been highlighted following the decline of the terrorist group. Most of these women regret their decision to join ISIS. Muthana describes her experience with Isis as “very mind-blowing”. “I was brainwashed once and my friends are still brainwashed,” she tells the Guardian. [3]
Although the ISIS terror group was mostly collapsed, there are other groups out there who have already trained the most dangerous wives and mothers to commit the most horrific acts. The Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI? Cult of Rajavi) is one of the avant-garde movements to mobilize female jihadists. Cult-like structure is the common characteristic of all these groups which causes the most horrible disasters to their victims.

The group has used female fighters from the early years of its establishment in the 1960s. Female members, particularly young girls were the first terrorist operators in the cities of Iran. After the 1979 Iranian revolution and the early break down with the Islamic Republic government, the MEK launched numerous terrorist attacks against the Iranian civilians and authorities. A large number of these violent acts were carried out by female members of the group. Certain terror acts were committed by female suicides. Iran_interlink reports,”On the morning of Friday, 11 December, 1981, an elderly Iranian cleric Abdol Hosein Dastgheib was assassinated by Mojahedin Khalq assassins in the city of Shiraz while he was leaving his house for the Friday prayer. The assassin was a 19 year old female who was later recognized as Gohar Adab Avaz. “The assassination was a unique act of terror practiced by the MEK in which a human being was used as a living weapon. Pretending to be pregnant, she told the victim’s security people that she had a letter for the Grand Ayatollah and was willing to give the letter to him personally, while under her clothing she was wearing a powerful hand-made bomb.” [4]

Zahra Noorbakhsh, is a victim of Mek’s violence. She was interviewed in a documentary titled “The Secrets Behind Auvers-Sur-Oise”. She also recalls MEK’s female terrorists. She recounts the story of her injury and the death of her two-year-old sister in a public transportation bus that was set on fire by the MEK agents: “We were on the bus and there were a lot of people. Four women got on the bus and they had firebombs on them. They threw the firebombs into the middle of the bus. The bus caught fire. When the bus went on fire, we were in the middle of it and everyone run towards the doors to get out. My sister and I were in the middle of the bus and we were engulfed in flames. My sister got completely burnt, she was burnt to death. And I was injured. I immediately took to hospital. I had very bad injuries on my head, my hands and my face.” [5]
“Marjan Malek was recruited as an asylum seeker in the Netherlands, and changed from a non-political person into a soldier for Rajavi”, states Judith Nourink in her book on the MEK, “Misled Martyrs”. “She went to Tehran for an attack on an army barracks. She was caught.” After her arrest and the deradicalization, Marjan Malek turned out to be one of the early founders of Nejat Society. [6]
Female jihadists usually have a tough life inside their organizations too. “I’m really traumatised by my experience,” Muthana told the guardian. [7] Although they may seem to be overconfident fighters for the cause of the group, female members of the MEK are themselves victims of the most horrific abuses.
In November 2018, the Guardian published an investigated report on the MEK. The author of the piece Arron Merat describes the story of the MEK “terrorist cultists” as “wild wild”. About the human rights abuses inside “the Cult of Rajavi” he writes:

“When we spoke recently, Soltani accused Maryam Rajavi of helping Massoud to abuse female MEK members over the years. “[Massoud] Rajavi thought that the only Achilles heel [for female fighters] was the opposite sex,” Soltani told me. “He would say that the only reason you women would leave me is a man. So, I want all of your hearts.”

“Soltani, who was one of three women to speak about sexual abuse inside the MEK in a 2014 documentary aired on Iranian television, alleged that Rajavi had hundreds of “wives” inside the camp.” [8]
Of-course, the testimonies of Soltani was not broadcasted as widely as the stories about”Jihad al-Nikah”that is referred to”sexual Jihad”by the women in the ISIS. There are definitely a lot more untold stories on female members of the cults such as MEK and ISIS. However, with the fall of ISIS the wives and mothers of the group are now in the limelight of the news media while female members of the MEK are still victims of the notorious hierarchy of Rajavi’s cult. They are isolated in Camp Ashraf 3 in Albania, being brainwashed on daily basis and trained for any act of violence in case of necessity. Remember the two young women Neda Hassani and Sedigheh Mojaveri who set themselves on fire in June 2003 to protest the arrest of the cult leader Maryam Rajavi.

What is the MEK doing in the heart of Bolton’s war plans?

Amid rapidly growing tensions between the US and Iran, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) is once again notoriously mentioned in the news lines.

Whenever, the journalists and analysts investigate the US warmonger campaign against Iran, the MEK is considered as part of the war plans. The recent escalating tensions following the dispatch of the US aircraft carrier to Persian Gulf, has brought up the case of the MEK as the tool for false flag operations to foment war. “Forces in the U.S. and Israel have been actively pushing for a U.S.-led war with Iran for years and have a track record that demonstrates little inhibition about using an “accident” or “false flag” to drag the country into a war with the Islamic Republic,” writes Whitney Webb of the Mint Press news comparing the case to the US invasion to Iraq in 2003 which was led by then-Vice President Dick Cheney based on fake intelligence on the so-called Weapons of Mass Destruction. [1]
The explosions of several oil tankers of Saudi Arabia and Emirates in Fujaira on May 12, was the desired accident for the US warmongers. Although the authorities of Saudi Arabia and the UAE tried to keep silent on the issue, the warmongers, or in better words, paid supporters of the MEK started fishing the troubled water.
Mint Press reported: “This past Thursday, the U.S. Maritime Administration — a division of the U.S. Department of Transportation — stated that “Iran or its proxies could respond by targeting commercial vessels, including oil tankers, or U.S. military vessels in the Red Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb Strait or the Persian Gulf.” The U.S. Department of Transportation is currently headed by Elaine Chao, who was paid $50,000 for a five-minute speech to the Iranian exile group, Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK), known to actively seek regime change for Iran. Other top U.S. officials, such as Bolton, have also been paid hefty sums for appearances at MEK events, where they have openly advocated for the overthrow of the Iranian government.” [2]
The American’s anti-Iran propaganda is naturally supported by the Israeli plain resentment against Iran. “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose desire to goad the U.S. into a war with Iran is an open secret” actually leads the majority of these false flag plots by the help of the MEK operatives. Moreover, to fund the MEK, Israel is not alone. Saudi Arabia’s hefty dollars find its way to the MEK’s pocket when it comes to their common enemy: Iran.

“Danny Yatom, the former head of the Mossad, told the Jerusalem Post that Israel can implement some of its anti-Iran plans through MEK if a war were to break out,” Tele Sur English states. ”Saudi Arabia’s state-run television channels have given friendly coverage to the MEK, and Prince Turki al-Faisal, Saudi Arabia’s former intelligence chief, even appeared in July 2016 at a MEK rally in Paris… Yet for the U.S., Israel, and Saudi Arabia, MEK represents an anti-Iranian voice that they so desperately need, and that on the surface didn’t come from them directly.” [3]

In order to bring more evidences on the MEK-Israeli plot against Iran, Tele Sur English refers to NBC News, citing two unnamed U.S. officials in 2012, who reported that the attacks against the Iranian nuclear scientist were planned by Israel’s Mossad and executed by MEK operatives inside Iran. [4]
The role of the MKO in the war plans of “B-team” gets definitely clear when you read Massoud Khodabandeh’s latest article on Iranian.com. He notices “the significance of a visit to the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1st by Albanian President Ilir Meta along with top Albanian military leaders and diplomats”. [5]
As he states Albania matters because it is now “home to the Iranian Mojahedin-e Khalq terrorist cult (MEK) and John Bolton has long believed he can use the MEK to facilitate regime change in Iran.” [6]

Khodabandeh writes, “An Albanian source told me off the record that alongside the delegation to the ship he witnessed the presence of Shish operatives taking some Farsi speakers on board the USS Abraham Lincoln who were not disembarked before the ship moved on. Kuwaiti media also reports that MEK operatives have been arrested attempting to buy speed boats in the Persian Gulf. Such a combination is highly concerning. MEK operatives were trained as suicide bombers by Saddam Hussein’s Republican Guard and in the MEK’s camps in Iraq. They have transferred this training to their new closed camp in Albania.” [7]

“Bolton’s unrelenting drive to attack Iran and his unstinting support for the MEK can only lead to one conclusion: MEK operatives, brought from Albania, will be deployed to carry out false flag ops that can be blamed on Iran – such as a suicide attack,” Khodabandeh states.
Yes, time passed, Bolton did not succeed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Iranian revolution in Tehran with the MEK so they have to endeavor harder together with other members of B-team to launch their war campaign against the Iranian nation.

Testimonies of a girl running many “Resistance Units” at the same time!

Shiva is a 37 year-old-girl, single and living with her mother. She is artistic. She writes poetries and paints. Opening her tweeter account, ten months ago, she started publishing her poems on tweeter. Some of the poetries were political criticizing the government. This was an opportunity for agents of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/MEK/ PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) to recruit her.

MEK's fake resistance units

The first time that an MKO agent messaged her she was frightened. “I won’t work with you “, she told the female recruiter. But, the trolls did not stop brainwashing her. Two other agents, Sohrab and Forough kept on their manipulation plan to convince Shiva to work for them.

Ultimately, she was coerced to play the role of several “Resistance Units”. “I was told to print the pictures of the group leaders and hang them in different places, on various occasions and then take photos or film,” Shiva told Fars News Agency. “The photos and the locations should not be repetitive. Actually, I was acting as different resistance units. Forough wanted me to show that the Cult of Rajavi has a lot of supporters in Iran. So, I had to use different slogans, different pics, and different handwritings as if there are different resistance units.”

Eventually, Forough asked Shiva to establish a real resistance unit at least with two people. “I asked my cousins to help me take photos of the so-called resistance unit but they just made fun of me,” Shiva recalled. “I was sure that nobody in my family and friends would cooperate with me. I told it to forough. Yet, she made more bizarre suggestions. For example, she told me to give Rajavi’s pictures to the children in the neighborhood and then take photos while they cover their faces with the pictures. “
But, Shiva found it immoral. “Those children had no idea of whose picture they were. The organization wanted me to abuse them,” she said.
Shiva was arrested after eight months. “Gradually they were coercing me to do more difficult missions,” she said. “Recently they regularly told me to find some people to do more important missions together for example firing a military station.”
“I am really sorry for doing those jobs,” Shiva says.

The MEK a tool for B-team

Seeking war and paralyzing sanctions against the Iranian people, the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/ MEK/PMOI/ Cult of Rajavi) should be considered as part of the B-team.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accused a ‘B-Team’ of pushing the US towards”disaster”by clashing with Iran.”President Trump believes putting pressure, bullying, will bring us to the negotiating table so he can make this ideal deal he has in mind. I don’t know what that deal is,”Zarif told the Asia Society in New York.
The so-called ‘B-Team’ Zarif named consisted of US National Security Advisor John Bolton, United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
“The B-Team is pushing US policy toward a disaster,”Zarif said, decrying what he called Trump’s”obsession”with”bullying”Iran. Zarif added that the B-team has a “plot” to push for the disaster.

How is the MEK involved with the B-team?
The MEK is the link between its financial sources and the right wing western politicians. The most recent revelations on the MEK’s money laundering activities was made by Foreign Policy last week. “The upstart far-right party is unapologetically Islamophobic, but without donations from Iranian exiles, it may have never gotten off the ground,” reported Sohail Jannessari and Darren Loucaides of FP. [1]
“Documents leaked to the Spanish newspaper El País show that almost 1 million euros donated to Vox between its founding in December 2013 and the European Parliament elections in May 2014 came via supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), an exiled Iranian group,”

According to FP. “The NCRI was set up in the 1980s by Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) and a number of other Iranian dissidents and opposition groups. The MEK’s allies later abandoned the NCRI, making the organization functionally an alias for the MEK.” [2]

The FP correspondents who view the Vox as a racist, homophobic, Islamophobic and sexist party, interviewed some sources to investigate the motives of the MEK and its financial resources that make it capable of funding a right wing European group.
Alejo Vidal-Quadras, a now-retired Spanish politician, who previously served as one of the 14 vice presidents in the EU Parliament, has been a longtime paid supporter of the MEK and one of those lobbyists who helped the group get removed from the EU’s list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2009. “Spain’s Vidal-Quadras went on to help found Vox in late 2013. And supporters of the NCRI provided the funding needed to launch the right-wing party and contest the 2014 European elections,” according to El País. [3]
“The MEK may have just been returning the favor to a long ally, Vidal-Quadras, who has been supportive of the MEK for years,” FP authors suggest. “But as one former member of the MEK executive committee told Foreign Policy, the financial resources the group gained under Saddam Hussein have likely run out—which suggests that it may have another source of funding today.”

“Mojahedin [MEK] are the tool, not the funders. They aren’t that big. They facilitate,” said Massoud Khodabandeh, former member of the group and the Director of Middle East Strategy Consultants told FP. “You look at it and say, ‘Oh, Mojahedin are funding [Vox].’ No, they are not. The ones that are funding that party are funding Mojahedin as well.” [4]

Khodabandeh said he himself was involved in moving money for the MEK and its funders during the reign of Saddam Hussein. “I went to Riyadh and recovered three trucks of gold bars from agents of [the] Saudi intelligence agency [at that time] led by Prince Turki bin Faisal. We transferred them to Baghdad and then to Jordan. We sold the bars in Jordan,” he claimed. [5]
Khodabandeh’s account raises the question of where the MEK’s money is coming from today. Heyrani, the recent MEK defector, also handled parts of the organization’s finances in Iraq and was blunt when asked about the current financial backing of the MEK: “Saudi Arabia. Without a doubt,” he told FP. [6]
The flow of the money laundered by the MEK finds its way in the pockets of the far right politicians of the United States, too. President Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton is the most prominent figure to receive MEK’s hefty sums. “Bolton is estimated to have received upwards of $180,000 to speak at multiple events for MeK,” the Guardian reported in July 2018. “His recent financial disclosure shows that he was paid $40,000 for one speech at an MeK event last year.” [7]
Zarif also brought up Bolton’s past associations with the MEK in his interview with Bolton’s favorite news media, Fox News. Zarif said Bolton had told the group at a rally “that he would celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Islamic revolution, in Tehran with that terrorist organization.” [8]
Tom Rogan of Washington Examiner correctly suggests, “For Bolton, the priority is not a democratic Iran, but a pro-American Iran. Bolton has been flexible in pursuit of this end.” [9] He confirms that Bolton –as one of the Bs of the B team—has been the most frequent paid speaker of the MEK.
“While Bolton refused to comment when asked if he was paid for his speeches, the Wall Street Journal’s Farnaz Fassihi and Seymour Hersh have accused Bolton of receiving payments,” Tom Ragan states. ”Another source, speaking to the Washington Examiner, supported these claims.” [10]
Moreover, MEK’s connections with Israel have been denounced several times in the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientists. MEK connections with Bolton, Bin Salman’s agents, Benjamin Netanyahou’s Intelligence Mossad simply indicates its substance as a tool in the hands of the enemies of Iranian nation.

Albania

The Closure of RAMSA, emboldens the MKO cult leaders

Once the relocation of members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO, MEK, PMOI, the Cult of Rajavi) from Camp Liberty Iraq, to Tirana Albania, started in 2013, members of the group were supposed to be recognized as refugees and Albania was supposed to be their permanent home before their final relocation in third countries.
Six years passed and about a thousand members left the MKO to live a normal life in the free world but their departure from the group resulted in legal problems for them. It seems that they are recognized as “refugees” only if they are members of the Cult of Rajavi.
In June 2013 when the first group of the MKO members were resettled in Albaniab, the US State Department stated, “The permanent relocation of residents is essential to ensure the safety and security of residents.” However, today those residents who are no more followers of Maryam Rajavi are left homeless and money less because the UN’s Refugee and Migrant Service in Albania (RAMSA) closed its office in Tirana.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees allegedly relocated the MKO in Albania from Iraq on “humanitarian grounds.” “But, on their arrival they were not granted UN refugee status, nor have they been issued Albanian identity documents that would allow them to work or travel,” Ann and Massoud Khodabandeh wrote in Lobelog. “Lack of residency rights also means that they cannot register for a bank account. They have no identity papers whatsoever, except the flimsy piece of paper used to fly them through international airspace from Baghdad to Tirana.”
This means that the MKO defectors’ legal case is neither supervised by the UNHCR nor by the Albanian government. There is no perspective for them for moving to a third country and this is very pleasing for the MKO leaders. The UNHCR, the US and the Albanian government “humanitarian” aids are limited to the isolated barred members in the Cult of Rajavi.
The closure of RAMSA is a gift to the MKO leaders who fear the increasing defection from the group which ends in the collapse of their cult.
