MKO survival dependent on creating crisis

Discussing the role of the Mujahedin-e-Khalgh Organization in the Iraqi imposed war on Iran;

Four former members of the Muhajedin-e-Khalgh Organization known as MKO in a press conference in Tehran shed light on the role of the MKO in eight years of Iraqi war against Iran in the 1980s. The former MKO members said that since the beginning, the leaders of the organization were looking for a source of support for the group and the Iraqi-imposed war provided them with the chance.

The press conference has been held as Iran is marking the sacred defense week which commemorates the 33rd anniversary of the beginning of the Iraqi imposed war on Iran back in 1980.

The group is notorious for carrying out numerous acts of terror against Iranian civilians and officials, involvement in the 1991 bloody repression of Shia Muslims in southern Iraq, and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds in the country’s north under Saddam.

The last group of MKO terrorists at Camp Ashraf was evicted by the Iraqi government on September 11 to join other members of the terrorist group in the former US-held Camp Liberty, now called Camp Hurriya, near Baghdad International Airport where they are awaiting relocation to other countries.

MKO terrorists incurred Iraqi nation’s wrath

An Iranian military commander says Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) incurred the wrath of the Iraqi nation and resulted in the attack on camp Ashraf.

Deputy Commander of Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi said on Wednesday that attacks on Camp Ashraf, now called Camp New Iraq, had precedent.

“When the MKO committed all those injustices against Iraqis and they saw that they (MKO) usurped their lands, helped Saddam’s regime in their suppression and committed innumerable crimes against Iraq, it was natural for the public fury to erupt and consume them.”

He further noted that the latest attack on the terrorist group’s notorious camp in Iraq’s eastern province of Diyala was something that had happened before, adding that Iraqis had earlier gathered outside Camp Ashraf and demanded the expulsion of MKO terrorists.

“The Iraq people’s rages finally afflicted MKO members… This was the inevitable destiny that awaited the MKO,” he pointed out.

On September 1, over 70 MKO members, including top commanders, were reportedly killed in an attack on Camp Ashraf. There were around 100 MKO members in the camp at the time.

The attack came at the hands of a group of Iraqi people and the relatives of those martyred by the terrorists when they had joined forces with executed Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, in 1991 to crush an uprising by Iraqi Shias.

The Iraqis who stormed the terror camp further demanded the immediate expulsion of all MKO terrorists from their country.

The last group of MKO terrorists at Camp Ashraf was evicted by the Iraqi government on September 11 to join the other members of the terrorist group in the former US-held Camp Liberty, now called Camp Hurriya, near Baghdad International Airport where they are awaiting relocation to other countries.

The MKO fled to Iraq in 1986, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein, and set up its camp near the Iranian border.

The group is known to have cooperated with Saddam Hussein in suppressing the 1991 uprisings in southern Iraq and carrying out the massacre of Iraqi Kurds.

70 MKO terrorists defect after arriving in Albania

According to an official at the Iraqi prime minister’s office on Friday, out of over 159 MKO terrorists granted asylum by the Albanian government, 70 members announced their separation from the group.

The unnamed Iraqi official revealed that these MKO members had been transferred from Camp Liberty, a former US military base in Baghdad.

The Albanian government has accommodated the 70 defectors in some apartments.

The MKO is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community and has committed numerous terrorist acts against Iranians and Iraqis.

The group fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq, where it received the support of Iraq’s executed dictator, Saddam Hussein, and set up a terror camp known as Camp Ashraf in Diyala Province near the Iranian border.

In December 2011, the United Nations and Baghdad agreed to relocate some 3,000 MKO members from Camp New Iraq (former Camp Ashraf) to Camp Liberty.

On March 16, Albania’s Prime Minister Sali Berisha announced in a statement that the Albanian government is ready to accommodate 210 members of the MKO group in Tirana “for humanitarian reasons.”

Political experts, however, warn that Albania’s decision to grant asylum to the MKO members has nothing to do with humanitarian concerns, and will give the terrorists a safe haven where they can work with former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

The KLA is notorious as a murderous group of drug traffickers and terrorists who receive training from NATO and the United States for operations around the world.

Iran seeks prosecution of MKO criminals through intl. channels

Iran intends to pursue the rights of the Iranian victims of MKO terrorist attacks through international bodies and global human rights organizations, said spokesman for the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Hossein Naqavi Hosseini.

He said that Irn possesses evidence of the organization’s terrorist attacks against Iranians since the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

“Iran plans to call upon international bodies to prosecute members of the [terrorist] cell as criminals and take judicial measures to extradite them or put them on trial … and punish them,” he said.

Naqavi Hosseini said that since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution the US has been using the group as a tool to achieve their objectives in the region.

The Iranian lawmaker said that the West was in talks with other countries to find a safe haven for the members of the terrorist organization now that their camp was evicted by Iraq.

The MKO is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community and has committed numerous terrorist acts against Iranians and Iraqis.

The group fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq, where it received the support of Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein and set up a terror camp near the Iranian border.

Out of nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, 12,000 of them have fallen victim to the terrorist acts carried out by the MKO.

Iranian terror victim describes how he lost his hands

The terrorist organization of Mujahedin Khalq or MKO. The notorious group is responsible for killing thousands of Iranian civilians and officials after the victory of the Islamic revolution in 1979. During the imposed Iraq-Iran war, the terrorist group had close links with former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein. They were also involved in the bloody repression of Shia Muslims in southern Iraq in 1991 and the massacre of Iraqi Kurds. One of the last cases of their violence is assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientists. It’s a couple of months that Basij Organization has been holding meetings with the families of the terror victims in Iran.

In third such meetings, the representatives of Basij Organization together with journalists went to visit one of the victims of terror, Alireza Dastbaaz. The kind old man has also lost one of his sons during the imposed war against Iran. Mr. Dastbaaz told us about the day when a member of the terrorist group, MKO, shot and injured a civilian in his neighborhood. Mr. Dastbaaz who was sitting in his store ran to help people. He managed to catch the terrorist, but the man took out a hand grenade and ….

The neighbors appreciate Mr. Dastbaaz’ courage and say although he knew the terrorist was armed, he attacked him to save the lives of dozens of others at the scene.

Since the victory of the Islamic revolution , more than 17,000 people, many of whom civilians, have been killed at the hands of the MKO in different acts of terrorism including bombings in public places, and targeted killings. The United States has removed the name of the anti-Iran terrorist group, MKO from its list of foreign terrorist organizations.

Iran praises Iraq efforts to close Camp Ashraf

Iranian Foreign Ministry has expressed gratitude to Iraqi government for its sincere efforts to close the original residence of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iraq’s eastern province of Diyala.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry stated that Tehran had on occasions warned the UN Special Representative for Iraq Martin Kobler about the continued presence of the MKO members at the camp — situated about 120 kilometers (74 miles) west of the border with Iran — as well as their mischief and adventurism.

The statement also underlined Iran’s support for efforts made by the UN and Iraqi government for rapid expulsion of the MKO members from Camp Liberty in western Baghdad, calling on the countries supporting the terrorist group to stop their financial and political backing.

Americans, Saudis use MKO terrorists to destabilize region

The US and its staunch ally Saudi Arabia use the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) to destabilize the Middle East region, a political analyst tells Press TV.

“The US wants to utilize them (MKO members) as a tool to undermine the Islamic Republic of Iran and also the Saudis want to utilize them as a means to destabilize, discredit and derail the political process with the ultimate goal of dismantling the newly democratic Iraq,” Zayd al-Isa said in a Monday interview.

“Well, they use them as leverage and for various operations of espionage. We must not forget that they have played a major role in trying and [are] being actually paid huge sums of money to try to infiltrate Iran in order to bring valuable information about … various technological developments taking place in Iran and also [they are] being utilized for espionage operations and shoring up and propping up the al-Qaeda and Ba’athists in Iraq by the Saudis,” the commentator added.

He said that the MKO played a “major and pivotal” role in Iraq’s executed dictator Saddam Hussein’s suppressing of a Shia uprising in southern Iraq in 1991, adding the executed dictator also used the terrorist organization against Iran.

The MKO is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community and has committed numerous terrorist acts against Iranians and Iraqis.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it received Saddam’s support and set up its camp near the Iranian border.

Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, some 12,000 have fallen victim to the acts of terror carried out by the MKO.

Iraqis demand expulsion of MKO remnants

On September 1, 2013, over 70 MKO terrorists, including top MKO commanders, were killed during an attack by a group of Iraqi people on Camp Ashraf.

Expulsion of the remnants of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from Iraq is a serious demand by the Iraqi nation, an Iranian lawmaker says.

“This shows that the Iraqi people’s patience is wearing thin and they seriously call for the expulsion of the remaining members of this grouplet from their homeland,” Mohammad-Saleh Jokar said on Monday.

Jokar, a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, was referring to the Sunday attack by a group of Iraqi people on MKO’s notorious terror Camp Ashraf in Iraq’s eastern Diyala Province.

Over 70 terrorists, including top MKO commanders, were killed during the incident.

Jokar noted that the Iraqi people are likely to wage more similar attacks on Camp Ashraf to take revenge on MKO for its atrocities in the country.

Although most MKO terrorists were forcibly transferred from Camp Ashraf to the former US-held Camp Liberty near Baghdad months ago, around 100 members had remained in the camp.

This is while the Iraqi government has repeatedly expressed its desire to expel all the terrorists from the country, but it came under intense pressure by the US and the United Nations to remain their host until a third country offers to accept them.

The MKO — listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community — fled Iran in 1986 for Iraq, where it enjoyed the support of Iraq’s then-dictator Saddam Hussein and set up a terror camp near the Iranian border.

Although most MKO terrorists were forcibly transferred from Camp Ashraf to the former US-held Camp Liberty near Baghdad months ago, around 100 members had remained in the camp.

According to the new reports, among the terrorists killed during the incident are Zohreh Ghasemi, the MKO kingpin in Iraq, and Guiti Giveh-chian, who was in charge of the terror group’s intelligence and operations units.

Seven other high-profile members were also killed.

Additionally, a number of the terrorists were reportedly injured during the incident.

Earlier reports indicate that a shootout had already broken out between Iraqi security forces and MKO members, leaving some 50 terrorists and four Iraqi officers dead.

Iraqi officials and the terrorist MKO members released conflicting reports about the clashes and explosions that took place at the camp on Sunday.

The MKO claimed that Iraqi security forces raided the camp early in the day and set fire to their property inside.

The Iraqi government, however, denied any involvement in the incident.

Iraqi officials further stated that MKO terrorists attacked an army brigade responsible for the camp after the incident, killing four Iraqi soldiers and injuring four others.

Ali al-Moussawi, a spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed that some MKO members had been killed, but said the deaths were the result of infighting among the camp residents.

Saddam was executed in 2006, following a US-led military occupation and rule over the country that brought major destruction across the nation and eventually an elected government, based on a constitution that is widely believed influenced by the American occupiers.

Tehran has repeatedly called on the Iraqi government to expel the terrorist group, but the US has been blocking the expulsion by pressuring the Iraqi government.

Terrorist Mojahedin Khalq executes US-Israeli anti-Iran plots

The anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) colludes with the US and Israel to carry out their destructive policies against Iran, a former member of the terror group says.

Speaking at a press conference in Tehran, two former MKO members, Ebrahim Khodabandeh and Maryam Sanjabi, elaborated on the terrorist nature of the group which has a long history of hostility and terrorist attacks against the Iranian nation.

“The MKO is not seeking a social position inside the Iranian society, but rather it is only trying to ensure the interests of the US and Israel,” Khodabandeh said.

“The group was initially established on the platform of fighting imperialism three decades ago, but today the group’s leaders do not follow this policy anymore and instead they have become the partners of the US and Israel in carrying out their destructive policies against Iran,” he added.

Sanjabi said the MKO does not observe human rights at all even in recruiting its forces.

“The group doesn’t care how old you are. We had a number of children from seven to ten years of age who’d been forced to join the group and indeed they were raised according to the group’s plans.”

She said that the leaders of the group believe that families are “the nest of corruption” so they try hard to disrupt family bonds and force members to forget their family.

The MKO is listed as a terrorist organization by much of the international community and has committed numerous terrorist acts against Iranians and Iraqis.

Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, some 12,000 have fallen victim to the acts of terror carried out by the MKO.

The terrorist group still continues its acts of terror against Iran under the support of certain Western powers.
