Complaint of Mr. Haj Sakhid Saeedfar to the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances

Mr. Haj Sakhid Saeedfar, whose brother Haj Seyyed Saeedfar is a prisoner of war trapped in the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Albania, has sent a complaint to the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances, with sufficient explanations about his brother’s condition and demanded an immediate investigation into his condition as well as a arranging a meeting with him.

I am Haj Sakhid Saeedfar, a resident of Bandar-e-Turkman, Golestan Province, in the northernmost point of Iran. My brother, Haj Seyyed Saeedfar, was captured by Saddam Hussein’s forces more than 35 years ago during the Iran-Iraq war, and then forcibly transferred to the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Iraq by the deception and pressure of the MEK leaders.

After the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, I went to Iraq several times to find my brother, along with other families whose loved ones had been captured by the leaders of the MEK, but unfortunately the leaders of the organization prevented us against all international rules and regulations. They did not allow us to meet our loved ones in that camp.

Later, I found out that in 2015, the MEK, together with all its members, went to Albania. So I corresponded with the government of that country, but no attention was paid to my humane requests to contact my brother.

Now, with the outbreak of Covid-19 disease all over the world, especially in Albania and the MEK camp, where at least 17 of them have died in less than a month, I and all my family members are worried about my brother.

We urge the committee in charge to immediately take care of the physical and mental condition of my brother Haj Seyyed Saeedfar in the MEK camp in Albania, and we also want to contact him, who has disappeared involuntarily.

Letter from Mr. Ali Akbar Gholami Khairabadi to WHO

Mr. Ali Akbar Gholami Khairabadi, the brother of Gholamreza Gholami Khairabadi, who is being held in the MEK camp in Albania, wrote a letter to the World Health Organization in that country, expressing concern about his brother’s health and calling for an investigation.

I am Ali Akbar Gholami Khairabadi, brother of Gholamreza Gholami Khairabadi.

My brother is currently stationed in the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) camp in Albania. He was captured many years ago in the Iraq-Iran war, and we later learned that he had been transferred to Camp Ashraf by MEK forces.

We have not met him in all these years, we have not even heard his voice and we have not received a letter from him. This is the ultimate wish of everyone to communicate with his brother and be informed of his condition.

You must know that even in the most horrible prisons in the world, regarding the most dangerous prisoners, families are allowed to communicate with the prisoner. But we are deprived of this minimum possibility.

Who can help us, the deprived families? To which international body should we take our complaint to support us?

Most importantly, it is possible that my brother in the MEK camp in Albania has contracted the disease caused by the Covid-19 virus and so he is in a difficult situation. The health facilities inside the camp are not good, and this disease has caused many casualties in the camp so far. Worst of all, the camp environment is completely closed and they have a group life. The individuals are not allowed to communicate with their families, and the Albanian government does not grant visas to Iranians to come and apply for assistance.

I desperately urge you not to neglect any possible action in order to alleviate the worries of me and my family, so that news of my brother will reach us and we will be able to communicate.

Please understand the feelings of me and my family and do not hesitate to pursue this issue.

Human Rights Abuse in the MEK

To the international Human Rights Bodies

My name is Narges Beheshti. My brother Mostafa Beheshti is a member of the Mojahedin-E Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO, NCR, NLA . . .) who is trapped in a remote isolated camp of the group in Albania.

MEK is a terrorist cult supported by the Albanian government. The cult brainwashes the members and forces them into terrorism and crimes.

My other brother Morteza Beheshti was also a member of the MEK living in the cult’s camp Ashraf in Iraq who was killed through a conflict. Both brothers left Iran for more income and a better life, but were deceived into joining the group. Morteza was married and had a son.

My mother passed away recently. After Morteza was killed, her only wish was to talk to Mostafa. Unfortunately, this never happened until she died. The leaders of the MEK, just like other destructive cults, prevent the members to have access to the outside world, in particular to their friends and family.

What should I do if I want to contact my brother in Albania and learn about his situation? The Albanian government, in order to appease the MEK, does not let the families to travel to Albania. Even if the families be able to enter the country, they have no chance to see their loved ones and they would be harassed by the Police and authorities.

I firmly urge you to show me a way to persuade the MEK leaders as well as the Albanian authorities to let the members contact their relatives. I am eagerly waiting for your response and thank you in advance for your efforts.

Letter of picketing families from Lorestan province to the UN General Secretary

In the Name of God

Honorable General Secretary of the United Nations,

With respect, we are a number of families from Lorestan province (west of Iran). We have taken all the hardship and accepted all the risks to travel to Iraq and to the gate of Ashraf camp, the base of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iraq, to visit our children. It is 10 days now that we are waiting here and it is more than 30 years that our loved ones are confined by Rajavi.

Although visiting prisoners is our known right, but Masoud and Maryam Rajavi deny it by violating the most basic human rights and the families’ rights regarding the prisoners.

We expect you to adopt all possible means in order to let the mothers and fathers be able to visit their seized children in Ashraf after so many years to ensure their physical and mental health.

We urge the UN, while condemning Massoud Rajavi the leader of MKO, to demand him to respect the global human rights charter and respect the rights of prisoners and their families.

“Trying the leaders and saving the victims”

At the present time hundreds of family members are stationed opposite the main gate of the cultic Ashraf garrison (base of terrorist MKO) in Iraq and their number is increasing. Their demand is to be able to visit their loved ones outside the garrison. This demand has been supported by the Iraqi government and the judiciary system of the country as well as the political parties and groups. The families have announced that they will not be moved until they reach their goal. Now the force of mothers’ love is facing the black magic of the cult.

The temperature is very high and beyond tolerance. The people of Iraq have electricity for only two hours during day and night. The 70 degree centigrade heat and living is tents in the desert without any kind of facilities just show how firm the families are. The visitors while sympathizing with the families express their hatred towards the leaders of the MKO cult and curse Massoud Rajavi and his wife Maryam. The locale people do not hesitate helping the families although they are in hardship themselves.

The slogan written by the MKO elements on the entrance of Ashraf garrison was wiped off today. Some legal steps forward has been taken to push back the advocates of Rajavi cult in Iraq which we would inform you later of the outcomes. At the present circumstances it is most necessary that the human rights activists in Europe and America strive for the cause of the families. Their voice must be heard everywhere.

Families who have gathers from around the world are determined that they must not return empty handed and they must get some news from their relatives. They are seeking help from all who could let the world know what is happening there and reveal the wicked face of Rajavis. The international pressure on the leaders of the MKO terrorist cult is increasing and this must be the case until they surrender to the just demand of the families.

The supreme criminal court of Iraq has issued the arrest warrant for 38 leaders of the cult including Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, and the Iraqi government has asked for their extradition. Some western cliques have approved the demand of “trying the leaders and saving the victims” and the international voice in this regard has been heard. Soon the demand of the families would be fulfilled and the victims would be saved.

Letter to the Iraqi Prime Minister to inform him of the thwarted escape attempt today by a disaffected member of the Rajavi cult from Camp Ashraf, in Diyala province

Dear Sir,
May we bring to your kind attention that today July 08, 2010 at about 10 am, a member of the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (aka: MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult) while signalling with his hands, tried to approach the families by moving towards them, and one of the families started walking towards him. At this moment the security forces of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation present there attacked the member, tied his hands and beat him up severely. They then moved him in to a car and drove away. While this was going on, they used abusive language and threw stones at the families present there and witnessing this assault which resulted in some injuries. Also, two Iraqi soldiers who were also near by, and who intervened to protect the victim as well as the families also came under attack. Unfortunately, they were also hit and injured by the stones thrown by the Mojahedin Khalq Security forces.

About 20 to 30 minutes later we witnessed an American Military helicopter flying low over the families and filming them!

May we remind your good self that after the escape of several members who managed to get themselves out in the recent months, the Mojahedin have been increasing their security by increasing the barbed wire fencing, and in addition have installed CCTV to monitor the movements of all their members. They have also banned any presence of ordinary members in the streets.

This means that the members are imprisoned in such a manner that escape is almost impossible. Today’s incident happened after a message was read repeatedly from a recent escapee to one of his friends who had asked him to let him know about the outside. It is clear to us that this person has been listening to the announcement and has decided to run away from the camp.

We, the families picketing outside camp New Iraq (formerly Ashraf) are deeply worried about the fate and the health of the arrested person remembering that he could be the child of any of us.
The gates of Ashraf camp have been left open for the reason that if anyone decides to run away from the cult, he or she can walk away from this Dark Age’s garrison. Unfortunately today’s incident showed otherwise. Now only God knows what will be brought upon the arrested person and what tortures are awaiting him.

We have complaints against the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq cult and would like to ask you as the Prime Minister of our brother neighbouring country Iraq, to order the relevant authorities to attend to this situation.

The Mojahedin are now capable of bringing any kind of harm to our children and no one would even know about it. We ask your intervention to save these lives.

After more than four months of the vigil outside the headquarters of Mojahedin called for Iranian Iranian families: Camp Ashraf leaders’ refusal to let us see our children a violation of human rights law families from Iran to the camp said the Iraqi government to end the suffering by intervention and pressure on the organization’s leaders to give them the opportunity to meet with their children, detainees inside the camp since the eighties in the last century, they said.

Ali Ramadan said that his brother has been held within the organization for a long time. He had been one of the prisoners from the Iran-Iraq war which lasted nearly eight years, adding that the former Iraqi regime had sold those prisoners to the MEK and its leadership, Massoud Rajavi, in order to bring them into the organization and help the Iraqi army in the war against Iran.

Ramadan told Reporters Network that the majority of the members of the MKO are mentally ill and have chronic diseases. He said they were suffering more than 200 medical conditions, while some were diagnosed with cancer.

Another person, Ahmed Khalaf Al-Hajri, from the province of Khuzestan in Iran said he lost touch with his brother 25 years ago while he was then a captive of the Iraqi forces in the era of the war between the two countries in Jalawla north-eastern Iraq. He said, “information reached us that he had been taken to Camp New Iraq, which they called at that time Camp Ashraf, and we did not hear anything more about him. But five years ago he called my mother. At the time, however, he did not speak with them long because he said he was surrounded by Guards and intelligence inside the camp. Al-Hajri added that most of the families within the camp did not enter with consent but have been brought force and in different ways, either by kidnapping or deception at the time of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

Soraya Abdullah was also talking about the kidnapping of her son, who emigrated to Turkey illegally and was then sold to the MKO. She confirmed she has not seen her only son for five years, and says her only son left after the death of his father and she came here to expose the organization because of the actions exercised by them on the population living within the walls, amounting to torture. She refers to the strict prohibition on marriage by the organisation, a law enacted by Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi. She said she will remain until she meets with her son…

Sheikh Mohammed Jassim Abdul, one of Diyala province tribal leaders, said that Camp Ashraf has around 3400 people…

He said the elders and tribes of Diyala are demanding that the government and parliament work on removing this organization as soon as possible for several reasons, including its past cooperation with the former regime of Saddam Hussein against the Iraqi people.

He considered that the MEK leaders’ rejection of families coming from Iran to see their children who were inside the camp is a violation and breach of human rights law and acts contrary to moral values.

Iranian Families of MKO victims asks Europe to ban the group

Representatives of Iranian Families of terror victims called for the European Parliament not to permit terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) to carry out any action in Europe.
The representatives also expressed their readiness to provide evidence showing the MKO crimes.

"Presence of Maryam Rajavi, one of the top leaders of the MKO in the European parliament and her speech against the Islamic Republic of Iran, created a good opportunity to reveal performance and terrorist background of the group," the representatives said in a statement.
The statement highlighted the terrorist measures of the group killing 12,000 Iranians including women and children after victory of Islamic Revolution and its help to army of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hossein and Baath regime security services.

"We as representatives and children of 16,000 families of terror victims that 12,000 thousands of them have been murdered by the terrorist group’s attacks call for you not to let the group carry out any activity based on European and international rules." "We are ready to provide you with evidence of crimes of the group."

The Iraq-based MKO is listed as a terrorist group by many international organizations and some countries.

The MKO founded in 1960s and has masterminded a large number of terrorist attacks in Iran and Iraq, killing and injuring thousands of people.

The US troops disarmed the MKO terrorists following the 2003 US-led invasion on Iraq. Members of the group are now based at Iraq’s Camp Ashraf.

Former Iranian President Mohammad-Ali Rajaei, Prime Minister Mohammad-Javad Bahonar, and Judiciary Chief Mohammad Husseini Beheshti are among victimes of the group’s attacks who all were assassinated in 1981.

Rajavi forces Mojahedin Khalq members in Camp Ashraf to attack their families

Following the exposure of many dreadful facts from within MKO (Rjavi cult) by the former members in front of a gathering of reporters and local officials outside Ashraf garrison in Iraq and also following the Paris conference in support of the families of the captive members and particularly after the enlightening speech of Ms Batul Soltani there, some brainwashed elements of Rajavi cult stood opposite the families on Thursday from 11:30 am local time and started threatening and insulting them using strong loudspeakers.

The families and the former members who realize the situation of the people inside Ashraf garrison who have continuously been subject to mind manipulation and psychological indoctrination for many years and find Massoud Rajavi the only sole responsible for all the hardships and troubles they are facing with, kept their calm and tried to tell them sincerely and kindly that they only wish to visit their loved ones whom they have not seen for nearly two decades.

Iranians in Iraq’s Diyala call for release of relatives held in MKO Camp Ashraf

Families of Iranians detained in Ashraf Camp of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization [MKO] have staged a sit-in in the Iraqi governorate of Diyala. The protesters called on the Iraqi government and the international community to free their relatives from the hell they are living in.

[Al-Fayyad] Dozens of Iranian families staged a sit-in in front of the Ashraf Camp in Diyala Governorate to protest being denied the chance to meet their family members who are detained by the MKO. The families waiting at the entrance of the camp called on the Iraqi government and humanitarian organizations to help them meet their family members in an atmosphere free from surveillance, eavesdropping, and interference by the MKO members.

[Zumurruda Amini, mother of a detainee, speaking in Persian with voice-over translation into Arabic] I have a son detained in the camp; his name is Ghulam Rida. I have not seen him in years. I have waited a long time to see him, but it has been in vain. Help me to see him.

[Al-Fayyad] These families live in difficult humanitarian conditions as their elderly men were scorched in the heat of the sun and the mothers were shedding tears for longing to meet their children. Other families carried photos of their sons and banners that condemn the repressive practices of the MKO leaderships, and they called on the international community to help their children out of what they described as MKO’s hell.

[Qudurat Sadiqi, father of a detainee, speaking in Persian with voice-over translation into Arabic] I am tired of making appeals. I have endured the hardships of the journey to meet my son, but this criminal organization has stopped me from seeing him.

[Zahrah K’abi, from the residents of the Ahvaz] My son was 25 years old when he left home one day to Abadan to bring the car and he never returned. Two years later, my daughter, who was a doctor, was in contact with him and she left home. Later we found a note in one of her books bidding us farewell and saying that she is going to join her brother.

[Al-Fayyad] Tribal leaders in Diyala Governorate stood by their brothers to deal with this tragedy and called on the Iraqi Government to expel the organization, which they described as terrorist.

[Muhammad Jasim, one of the tribal leaders of Tamim Tribe in Diyala Governorate] We must urge the Iraqi government, the new parliament, and the UN Security Council, the non-aligned countries and the Arab League to drive the MKO out of our country. They are occupying our lands. The MKO is a cancerous cell in our country. We are have been hurt by it.

[Al-Fayyad] Some of the families who came from the Islamic Republic of Iran to see their children but did not succeed in doing so said that the Iraqi government must take appropriate action to pressure the MKO, which has violated human rights and international charters by detaining their children for many years.
