Following the appeal made by the families who have been picketing outside cultic base of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO – Rajavi cult) to visit their relatives confined inside Ashraf Mr. Alishahi asked the representatives to travel to Iraq and visit Ashraf garrison and talk to the families to learn more about the truth garrison for nearly six months, and also their expression of concern about arresting one member of MKO while trying to escape from the cult and having no news about his whereabouts and his destination, Mr. Behzad Alishahi visited some representatives of independent humanitarian groups on 7th and 13th of July 2010 in The Hague in Netherland and informed them about the latest developments and the extent of psychological pressure over the members inside the cult and urged them to put their pressure on the leaders of MKO in order to find a humanitarian solution.

In these visits Mr. Alishahi asked the representatives to travel to Iraq and visit Ashraf garrison and talk to the families to learn more about the truth. He also recommended accompanying them in such a trip in order to save the lives of those captured and ending the anticipation of the miserable families.

The visits were made with Mr. Patrick van kole the representative of the humanitarian organization of Stopping Torture and Mr. Michael Helmont the representative of the independent organization of ARAMI and Ms. Francis Josiele the representative of the National Council of Human Rights. Also in previous weeks a visit was made with Mr. John van Maasakkers the mayor of the city Gemert in Netherland who have visited members of MKO before. He was informed by Mr. Alishahi about Rajavi cult and the methods that the members are mind manipulated and also the situation of the families. A video excerpt was shown in this regards.

Who is responsible for the continued suffering of the MEK victims’ families ?

Who is responsible for the continued suffering of the families of members imprisoned inside Ashraf garrison?

The bombing in the city of Zahedan (south east of Iran) claimed several casualties (Thursday 15 Maryam Rajavi called the family ‘the nest of corruption’ and rightfully describes the family as ‘the main enemy’ of the cult July 2010). President Barak Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other western leaders immediately condemned the terrorist act. This terrorist attempt took place a few days after the Supreme Criminal Court of Iraq issued the arrest warrants for 38 leaders of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO – Rajavi cult) including Massoud and Maryam Rajavi who are charged with crimes against humanity and expanding terrorism.

Two days after the terrorist act in Iran, a Federal court in the United States of America urged the State Department to review its decision on finding the MKO as an FTO (foreign terrorist organization). This call received a positive response from the Secretary of State. Apparently the show which was performed in Europe is now starting in the US.

The US administration and western countries do always condemn terrorism but for some reasons they are not so keen on condemning the terrorist. It is interesting to learn that the European countries which no longer, despite piles of documents, recognize the MKO as a terrorist group are still not ready to accept the people who they imposed to Iraqi people in their own countries. Of course they do not want these terrorists in their own countries; they would rather have them close to Iran and on the shoulders of the Iraqi people.

The US government describes the MKO as a cult of personality and as a terrorist group and says that they have murdered Americans in Iran and even made songs to celebrate it. But it is noteworthy that when a victim of this cult tries to escape from Ashraf garrison in Iraq and the elements of the cult, right in front of the eyes of the families, grab him and beat him up and take him away, the American soldiers, who are supposed to evacuate the place, hover over the heads of the families by helicopter and threaten them and afterwards do not allow any investigations into the matter.

Apparently some elements and factions within the US Administration and in the west have started a dangerous game and did not learn from the history. The terrorism of the Rajavi cult could not be in a better situation than that of Al-Qaida and Ben Laden for the west. One day, not far away, they will start killing in Europe and America. The MKO at the present time have established security systems in Iraq and have gathered the elements from the previous regime and have sent their members who were trained under Saddam Hussein to France and Germany. One former member in Europe once quoted Mehdi Abrishamchi a top official in the MKO saying that “now that the west calls us terrorist let us be real terrorists”. The security authorities in the west, who were insisting that the MKO not be de-proscribed, had the analysis and knowledge that the threat of the MKO is far greater for the west rather than for Iran.

The Americans could do to recall their support for the Falun Gong cult in China; assuming that since they are opposed to the Chinese government they could be America’s friends. This support resulted in the cult being able to recruit Chinese-Americans in the US and entering them into organized crimes in that country and creating enormous problems. This cult was no longer a problem for the Chinese but in its place became a disastrous difficulty for the Americans and they still are struggling with.

The MKO is no longer an issue for the Iranian regime. This problem is in the first place on the shoulders of the Iraqis. This, then, is reflected inside western countries, and the solution becomes a burden for the western countries that imposed this problem on Iraq in the first instance. Iraq will not carry this problem anymore, but some in the west – for their short term benefits – try to keep them in Iraq. The inhuman face of some western elements, who do not care about the human rights of the inhabitants of Ashraf, is revealed when they intend to use these unpaid, psychologically manipulated terrorists for their wicked tasks. If they are sincere why don’t they open the gates of Ashraf garrison and let everyone learn about what is going on inside there and let its inhabitants learn about what is happening outside.

But innocent people, including the members confined inside Ashraf and their suffering families, are the victims of this paradox and this uncertainty in western foreign policy. That faction of the west which is under the influence of Israel apparently has problems with the Islamic Republic of Iran. But the only concern of the families is why they cannot freely visit their loved ones just a few hundred yards away after waiting for months. What is the obstacle? The leaders of the MKO of course who consider families as their nightmare are the main obstacle. But who is supporting them to be able to continue their crimes? Certainly some warmongering and narrow minded elements in the US Administration and Israeli lobby are doing so. But why do they do so? Because they arrogantly think that the enemy of their enemy is necessarily their friend and of course while totally miscalculating the events have forgotten the experience of Hitler and Bin Laden. Further to this, it should be far from their dignity to try to use the used handkerchief of Saddam Hussein which has proved to be useless for many years.

The US government has no choice but to let the Iraqis to dismantle the MKO in their country. Nowhere in the world has a foreign terrorist organization had the privilege to establish a garrison and not let the host county know what is happening there. This is of course the heritage of Saddam Hussein for the Iraqi people, created by the Europeans. And American Forces, according to the RAND report, protected their base and kept it exactly as the MKO leaders desired. If the Americans are worried about their human rights why don’t they take them to their own country? The truth is that the Americans are not prepared to issue even one single visa for MKO members to enter their country while they force the Iraqis to maintain them even against their national security and other interests.

An Iraqi official told us that in Saddam Hussein’s era, after the ceasefire in the war with Iran, it was arranged for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to interview Iranian prisoners of war (POWs) who were staying with the MKO and ask them whether they wanted to stay with them or go back to Iran. At that time both Saddam and Rajavi were forced to fulfill the demand and consequently these people were interviewed outside MKO bases without the presence of the MKO and even a representative from the Iranian embassy in Baghdad was present and in some cases members of families or their photos and their letters were brought to the meetings. Finally, although the cult had tried to intimidate them by telling them that they would be executed if they go back to Iran, a considerable percentage of them did not go back to the MKO bases and returned safely to Iran and to their families. Now how is it that the ICRC and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and even the American Forces, even though Saddam Hussein, Rajavi’s mentor, is gone and the Iraqi government opposes the presence of the Rajavi cult on their soil, they cannot arrange even a simple meeting of the members with their families outside Ashraf garrison?

At this time, Rajavi is facing a very tough situation. Cult and family are each other’s diametric. The existence of one is the rejection of the other. Maryam Rajavi called the family ‘the nest of corruption’ and rightfully describes the family as ‘the main enemy’ of the cult. Now the families are standing outside the cultic castle of Rajavi without any weapons and equipment and are trying to counteract its witchcraft and free the imprisoned members. What would Rajavi, who has no tool to reach his goals except machine guns and bombs and of course lying and deceiving, do against the unshakable stand of these standing families and how long will the warmongering elements in US policy continue with this situation? The future will reveal all.

Organization (MKO – Rajavi cult) based in Ashraf camp in Iraq are protesting in front of the camp and their only wish is to visit their loved ones whom they have not seen in some cases for more than two decades. The leaders of MKO cult have of course denied their plea and on the contrary have called their move a conspiracy plotted by the enemies.

Massoud Rajavi the leader of MKO terrorist cult, who was allied with Saddam Hussein, and is on the run since the invasion of Iraq, has called the appeal a circus show and has compared the families to circus animals. These comments were broadcasted in the cult’s satellite television. During this time some mind manipulated elements of the cult residing inside Ashraf camp have tried to intimidate the families and insulted them in several occasions. These actions of course had no impact on the families and did not make them to pull back and on the contrary have made them more decisive to insist on their demands and carry on their picketing until they manage to see their relatives.

The cultic behaviors of MKO and its leaders are quite exposed to those who have even little knowledge about the deeds of this terrorist destructive cult. Several researchers, experts and international bodies do recognize MKO as a cult of personality. MKO is a destructive cult which is

The families of captive members inside cultic camp of Ashraf have every right to be concerned about their loved ones there. Circus show is exactly what Rajavi has set up in Iraq and innocent people have been moved away from their human nature and have become robots and machines who could be run in any way their desire, and of course the audience of this miserable and sad circus show are the supporters of MKO in the west who try to keep them alive against humanity for their short term benefits.

Rajavi and its associates are undoubtedly the enemies of Iranian people and their positions are clear. But to respond to those who try to keep MKO active and add to the misery and pains of the

Recent report of American Think Thank RAND for US defense department pointed out very clearly that NCR or MEK under Rajavi is a destructive cult that can change color at any minute to advance its goals. Not long ago their main slogan was death to the US and calling ‘Human Rights’ and ‘liberal democracy’ as ploy of Imperialism against oppressed people, and now they are using the same slogans to gain support of western politicians against Iranian regime. Do we really want friends like this and support cult leaders that soon can change into new enemies like Bin Laden?”

Thwarted escape attempt by a disaffected MEK member

Letter to the Iraqi Prime Minister to inform him of the thwarted escape attempt today by a disaffected member of the Rajavi cult from Camp Ashraf, in Diyala province

Dear Sir,
May we bring to your kind attention that today July 08, 2010 at about 10 am, a member of the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation (aka: MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult) while signalling with his hands, tried to approach the families by moving towards them, and one of the families started walking towards him. At this moment the security forces of Mojahedin Khalq Organisation present there attacked the member, tied his hands and beat him up severely. They then moved him in to a car and drove away. While this was going on, they used abusive language and threw stones at the families present there and witnessing this assault which resulted in some injuries. Also, two Iraqi soldiers who were also near by, and who intervened to protect the victim as well as the families also came under attack. Unfortunately, they were also hit and injured by the stones thrown by the Mojahedin Khalq Security forces.

About 20 to 30 minutes later we witnessed an American Military helicopter flying low over the families and filming them!

May we remind your good self that after the escape of several members who managed to get themselves out in the recent months, the Mojahedin have been increasing their security by increasing the barbed wire fencing, and in addition have installed CCTV to monitor the movements of all their members. They have also banned any presence of ordinary members in the streets.

This means that the members are imprisoned in such a manner that escape is almost impossible. Today’s incident happened after a message was read repeatedly from a recent escapee to one of his friends who had asked him to let him know about the outside. It is clear to us that this person has been listening to the announcement and has decided to run away from the camp.

We, the families picketing outside camp New Iraq (formerly Ashraf) are deeply worried about the fate and the health of the arrested person remembering that he could be the child of any of us.
The gates of Ashraf camp have been left open for the reason that if anyone decides to run away from the cult, he or she can walk away from this Dark Age’s garrison. Unfortunately today’s incident showed otherwise. Now only God knows what will be brought upon the arrested person and what tortures are awaiting him.

We have complaints against the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq cult and would like to ask you as the Prime Minister of our brother neighbouring country Iraq, to order the relevant authorities to attend to this situation.

The Mojahedin are now capable of bringing any kind of harm to our children and no one would even know about it. We ask your intervention to save these lives.

After more than four months of the vigil outside the headquarters of Mojahedin called for Iranian Iranian families: Camp Ashraf leaders’ refusal to let us see our children a violation of human rights law families from Iran to the camp said the Iraqi government to end the suffering by intervention and pressure on the organization’s leaders to give them the opportunity to meet with their children, detainees inside the camp since the eighties in the last century, they said.

Ali Ramadan said that his brother has been held within the organization for a long time. He had been one of the prisoners from the Iran-Iraq war which lasted nearly eight years, adding that the former Iraqi regime had sold those prisoners to the MEK and its leadership, Massoud Rajavi, in order to bring them into the organization and help the Iraqi army in the war against Iran.

Ramadan told Reporters Network that the majority of the members of the MKO are mentally ill and have chronic diseases. He said they were suffering more than 200 medical conditions, while some were diagnosed with cancer.

Another person, Ahmed Khalaf Al-Hajri, from the province of Khuzestan in Iran said he lost touch with his brother 25 years ago while he was then a captive of the Iraqi forces in the era of the war between the two countries in Jalawla north-eastern Iraq. He said, “information reached us that he had been taken to Camp New Iraq, which they called at that time Camp Ashraf, and we did not hear anything more about him. But five years ago he called my mother. At the time, however, he did not speak with them long because he said he was surrounded by Guards and intelligence inside the camp. Al-Hajri added that most of the families within the camp did not enter with consent but have been brought force and in different ways, either by kidnapping or deception at the time of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

Soraya Abdullah was also talking about the kidnapping of her son, who emigrated to Turkey illegally and was then sold to the MKO. She confirmed she has not seen her only son for five years, and says her only son left after the death of his father and she came here to expose the organization because of the actions exercised by them on the population living within the walls, amounting to torture. She refers to the strict prohibition on marriage by the organisation, a law enacted by Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi. She said she will remain until she meets with her son…

Sheikh Mohammed Jassim Abdul, one of Diyala province tribal leaders, said that Camp Ashraf has around 3400 people…

He said the elders and tribes of Diyala are demanding that the government and parliament work on removing this organization as soon as possible for several reasons, including its past cooperation with the former regime of Saddam Hussein against the Iraqi people.

He considered that the MEK leaders’ rejection of families coming from Iran to see their children who were inside the camp is a violation and breach of human rights law and acts contrary to moral values.

Iraqi Criminal Court issues arrest warrant against Massoud and Maryam Rajavi

The Supreme Iraqi Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Massoud Rajavi, head of the Mojahedin Khalq, an Iranian opposition, Arrest warrants Have also been issued against 37 others, including his wife, Maryam Rajavi, and his lieutenant Kazemi, according to (s /1/149) of 13/6/2010, Article (12) in place of Article (15) of the Code of Court No. 10 of 2005, which means that the Iraqi Interior Ministry and Interpol are notified to bring them to court.

On the other hand Diyala recognizes the sovereign responsibility of the Iraqi government and security forces and the dispensing of full security to the camp in the new Iraq Khalis district, (formerly Camp Ashraf) in place of the U.S. troops who were responsible for the inside of Camp New Iraq since the fall of the former regime in 2003.

An official ceremony took place on Friday, the 2nd July which was attended by a number of security leaders and military personnel in the Iraqi army and the U.S. within Camp New Iraq (camp Ashraf earlier) according to the implementation of the security agreement signed between Iraq and the United States for the delivery of venues and sites by the U.S. military to the Iraqi government and Iraqi military in order to achieve Iraq’s full sovereignty over its territory and be responsible for maintaining security and order throughout Iraq. The Iraqi army and the Iraqi security apparatus and the government will take responsibility as the Iraqi administration for the overall security of Camp Ashraf (Mojahedin-e Khalq).

A ceremony took place at Camp New Iraq (Camp Ashraf) in the presence of Iranian families in front of the gate of Camp Ashraf who have been there for four months. The families looked forward to the receipt of responsibility for camp Ashraf by the Iraqi government and the Iraqi security from U.S. troops, stressing that U.S. military commanders have, over the past eight years, been supporting the policies and negative attitudes of the organization and leaders within the camp, as well as not sympathising with the families from Iran, nor responding to their demands to meet their children who are detainees inside the camp without the intervention and control officials in the organization, and their rejection of the responsibility over the past years to intervene to end the suffering of families and the pressure on the organization’s leaders to allow the families of Iranian access to their children. The families hope to soon embrace their children and return them to their homes after the success of the Iraqi government and security services in regaining sovereignty and security of the Camp New Iraq (Camp Ashraf).

Iranian Families of MKO victims asks Europe to ban the group

Representatives of Iranian Families of terror victims called for the European Parliament not to permit terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) to carry out any action in Europe.
The representatives also expressed their readiness to provide evidence showing the MKO crimes.

"Presence of Maryam Rajavi, one of the top leaders of the MKO in the European parliament and her speech against the Islamic Republic of Iran, created a good opportunity to reveal performance and terrorist background of the group," the representatives said in a statement.
The statement highlighted the terrorist measures of the group killing 12,000 Iranians including women and children after victory of Islamic Revolution and its help to army of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hossein and Baath regime security services.

"We as representatives and children of 16,000 families of terror victims that 12,000 thousands of them have been murdered by the terrorist group’s attacks call for you not to let the group carry out any activity based on European and international rules." "We are ready to provide you with evidence of crimes of the group."

The Iraq-based MKO is listed as a terrorist group by many international organizations and some countries.

The MKO founded in 1960s and has masterminded a large number of terrorist attacks in Iran and Iraq, killing and injuring thousands of people.

The US troops disarmed the MKO terrorists following the 2003 US-led invasion on Iraq. Members of the group are now based at Iraq’s Camp Ashraf.

Former Iranian President Mohammad-Ali Rajaei, Prime Minister Mohammad-Javad Bahonar, and Judiciary Chief Mohammad Husseini Beheshti are among victimes of the group’s attacks who all were assassinated in 1981.

A letter to Mr. Al Maliki Prime Minister of Iraq (182 signatories) handed over to Iraqi embassy (Paris)

Your Excellency , with this preface we would like to draw your attention to this fact that we the Mr. Al Maliki Prime Minister of Iraq backers and supporters of the Seminar , Support of the Rajavi’s castle victim’s families (Ashraf Garrison-Iraq) which occurred in Paris on 19th of June /2010, are separated and victimized members, critics and families of those stranded victims in Ashraf garrison who have a brother , sister, father or mother and friends in there who are under severe indoctrination and brain washing methods .We had been in the same situation as they are now ,but we could set ourselves free from all those indoctrinations and brain washing methods and fortunately we gained our freedom by separating ourselves from this organization, and now after gaining our freedom, together we want to help the other victims who are still kept in Ashraf Garrison and pmoi’s main headquarters in Paris.

Fortunately , after the downfall of Saddam Hussein’s reign , The Former Dictator of Iraq, and relative political stability in this country , there has been begotten a new atmosphere of freedom, and respect to human rights in various grounds in Iraq, particularly for detainees and prisoners. There are field visits by civic and human rights organizations as well as international and local advocates of those in prisons and detention centers across Iraq. But why this issue and human rights violations in the castle headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin in Ashraf?

It has been nearly five months that elderly parents with broken hearts and tearful eyes are looking forward to meet with their children in front of Camp Ashraf have been on sitting that the MKO leaders allow them access to their children inside the camp. But the refusal of the MKO to allow family interviews between those who came from Iran to Iraq to meet with their children is a violation of divine laws and international laws recognized all over the world.

Iraqi Authorities' stance on the MEK

Camp Ashraf residents prevented by PMOI from meeting their families coming from Iran

Local officials in Diyala province said on Saturday that leaders Pople’s Mujahedin Of Iran (PMOI) or the Mojahedine Khalq refused, again, to let the families coming from Iran to enter Camp mayor of Al-Khalis city, Uday Adnan Al-Khaddran. Ashraf to meet their sons on the pretext that they belonged to Iran’s security agencies.

A large delegation of the local administration, elders and dignitaries of the areas went to the camp today to persuade the leaders of Camp Ashraf to let the families coming from Iran to meet their sons, according to mayor of Al-Khalis city, Uday Adnan Al-Khaddran.

"This attempt, like the first and second attempts faced the intransigence of Ashraf leaders. They did not agree on the entry of the families of the members," Al-Khaddran said.

Dozens of families from Iran are on a sit–in since February 8, in front of the camp’s gate, in an attempt to persuade the leaders of the camp to let them meet their sons who are members of the PMOI.

PMOI accused the families in front of the camp’s gate of being Iran’s security agents.

But Al-Khaddran attributed Ashraf leaders refusal to let the Iranian families in to "fears" of the leaders of revealing their practices with the deluded people who wish to return home, on the one hand, and to prevent the world from knowing the secrets and mysteries of collaboration with, and the support of the organization, for militant terrorist groups, on the other hand, as he put it.

There area three thousand 3,400 residents in Camp Ashraf who had warned that the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the camp and handing it over to the Iraqi government would pave the way for a "humanitarian disaster"

Mujahedine Khalq described an effort by a number of sheiks and dignitaries of Diyala province on June 19 to end the ongoing suffering of the Iranian families outside the camp’s main gate as an "attempt to agravate the crisis against Camp Ashraf as a prelude to attack the camp again", according to an statement released by the organization.

On 28 July 2009, hundreds of Iraqi police and army troops attacked the Camp Ashraf and clashed with the PMOI members in the camp, and according to the organization 13 of their members were allegedly killed and more than 500 were injured.

Camp Ashraf or Ashraf City is situated northwest of Khalis town, 66 kilometers north of Baghdad. Camp Ashraf is currently an Iranian refugee camp in Iraq guarded by the United States military. Some 3500 PMOI members reside the camp. On January 1, 2009 its control was formally transferred to the Iraqi government.

The Camp was set up during the former regime of Iraq. After the fall of the former regime of Iraq, the US military disarmed the camp and took on the responsibility of protecting it which the Iraqi government has been attempting to evict it for several years.

Mujahedine Khalq was formerly on the list of "terrorist" groups in America and Europe, but the situation began to change when it helped to identify some of the secrets of Iran’s nuclear program, which represents a crisis between Tehran and the West.

Mojahiden E-Khalq is an opposition group led by Massoud Rajawi. It was founded in 1965 and played a major role in fighting the Shah and ousting his regime, PMOI supported the former Iranian President Bani-Sadr in facing the religious institution in the early eighties when they engaged in bloody clashes with the Iranian government that claimed many of the groups members and many others were arrested. It resorted to exile to continue its war against the "Islamic Republic" under the slogan of building an alternative "Islamic democracy" state.

During the U.S.-led 2003 invasion of Iraq, the group’s sites were bombed by the U.S. and British forces and considered it as a part of the Iraqi formations, but the U.S. troops maintained security of the camp after the war was over and according to an agreement they were allowed to keep their weapons, stay in Iraq and continue their armed struggle against Iran, which raised Tehran’s worries that prompted some of its officials to describe America as a "liar" in its campaign against terrorism.

Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki’s government of Iraq tried to take measures that would remove the organization from the country, but the organization was protected by the United States.
