Family of MKO hostages: At least send us a new photo of our beloveds!!

The suffering sisters of two Camp Liberty residents ask human right bodies to help them have a short visit with their beloved brothers; Mohammadreza and Ahmadreza.

Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza Iranpour, traveled to Turkey in 2002. They wanted to immigrate to a European country to make a better life there.

Unfortunately, in Turkey the MKO recruiters tricked them into joining the group. They were then transferred to Camp Ashraf, Iraq. For a long time the Iranpour family had no news of them until they were informed of Mohammadreza and Ahmadreza whereabouts through some defectors of the MKO cult.

In January 2004 they succeeded to meet their beloved brothers at Camp Ashraf. 20 MKO members accompanied Mohammadreza and Ahmadreza in the meeting in order the meeting not to be private.

From then on the Iranpour family have traveled to MKO Camps in Iraq several times to have a visit with their beloved brothers or at least get a news of them, still they were not allowed.

The Iranpour family – the same as many other families of MKO hostages – have written several letters to human right bodies to help them contact their beloveds. However they have received no reply. In their recent complaint open letter to UNHCR in Iraq they write:

“We are Mahmonir and Raheleh Iranpour. Our brothers; Ahmadreza and Mohammadreza are imprisoned at Camp Liberty. We have several times sent you letters. However you didn’t reply us. We traveled to Iraq but you ignored us. Not only didn’t you facilitate our visit with our brothers, but also you didn’t let us meet yourselves. You even didn’t accept our letters.

You deprived us of our basic right which is to visit our family memebrs … we now have a demand … it is now 13 years that we have not visited our beloved Mohammadreza and Ahmadreza. ..

Now that based on the Rajavis wishes you don’t let us meet our beloveds, please send us a new photo of them at least to see their faces after such a long time…”

It is worth mentioning that the third group of MKO hostages’ families have traveled to Camp Liberty, trying to get help to be allowed to visit their loved ones.

The families have lodged official complaints with UN and Iraqi government officials which include documents showing that Rajavi is paying bribes to some individuals in the UN office so that they will stop anyone running away from the camp”, Iraninterlink website reported.

How Mujahedin Khalq abducted my brothers

Maryam sanjabi;MKO separated member interviewed Ms. Narges Beheshti

Ms. Narges Behesthi is a suffering sister who lost her brothers within the Mujahedin-e Khalq Cult.

It is now a decade that Ms. Beheshti is seeking to visit or at least have a contact with her two brothers; Mostafa and Morteza.

Unfortunately her older brother Morteza was killed during the Iraqi police invasion to Camp Ashraf. Actually Morteza was victimized for the cult leader’s interests and his passion for power.

Even after such a disastrous and painful event, the Rajavis denied the Beheshti family’s visit their younger brother; Mostafa.

Ms. Beheshti went to the Camp Ashraf dozens of times and requested for a visit, still she couldn’t.  

In an interview with Ms. Maryam Sanjabi – MKO separated member, she describes how her brothers joined the Cult:

My brothers were not supporters of Mujahedin-e Khalq. We didn’t know these unpatriotic and traitors.

In 2011 my older brother; Morteza went to Turkey to find a better job. For two months he took a temporary job. After two months that we had no contact with him, Moteza sent us a letter saying that he worked in a shipping company and that they would help him to go to Europe. He wanted us to send our younger brother Mostafa to Turkey. This way Mostafa who was seeking a good job went to Turkey as well.  

We later understood that the MKO recruiters in Turkey had promised my brother to send him to Europe provided that he stay at Camp Ashraf, Iraq for six months.

We had no contact with my brothers for a year when we received a letter from Mostafa. In the letter he had asked us to send our sister to Turkey as well. Though we were somehow doubtful, we agreed that my sister go to Turkey. My sister went to Turkey in accompany with one of our relatives. We were worried so we wanted our relative to make sure that my sister would reach our brothers.  In Turkey someone else had gone to welcome my sister. The two men said that we would drive you to your brothers. Our relative refused my sister to go with them. And after some disputes with the two men he took my sister back to Iran.

Two weeks later Mostafa called us. While crying he said “.. why didn’t my sister  come here.. they will kill me…,” he was crying when the connection suddenly cut out.  

Tanks God. We were lucky that the Rajavi army didn’t succeed to take another member of our family as hostage.

After the last call we could not find my brothers. We had no news of them.

 After the fall of Saddam Hussein, through NejatNGO we understood that my brothers had not gone to Europe. They had no job rather they were transferred to camp Ashraf,Iraq. In fact they were deceived by the MKO Cult recruiters in turkey. The Rajavis henchmen had assured my brothers that they will help them with sending them to Europe and providing them with residency in case that they stay at Camp Ashraf, Iraq for six months. Then they wanted Mostafa to write a letter to get my sister to Iraq as well.

In 2004 my mother could visit my brothers for the first time after three years. In that year for the first time the Cult leaders allowed the families to visit their children at Camp Ashraf. My mother could have a short visit with my brothers. The conversations were strictly controlled by the Cult in a way that my brothers couldn’t speak freely to their mother. My younger brother had taken my mother’s hands from under the table while crying. They didn’t dear to express their emotions….

From then on we have had no contact with my beloved brothers.

Unfortunately Morteza was killed in 2011 during the clash between Iraqi police and Camp Ashraf residents.

We went to Camp Ashraf several times but the Cult leaders didn’t allow us to visit Mostafa…. The separated members of MKO told us that the members are kept under pressure within the Cult and some even do not know that their families come to visit them….

Families of Rajavi’s hostages in Camp Liberty ask Ban Ki-moon for help

Dear Mr. Ban Ki-moon!

In the present modern world and specially in the world that the people care for their relief and security, the assassination and slavery are not of any meanings and without doubt the persons who proceed to the mentioned actions are far from the world liberal people eyes and live in isolation, as DAESH the Excommunicating-Terrorist Group, has made insecurities all over the world at present and it’s a model of all criminal factions.

MKO (Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization) is one of the terrorist groups, maybe more dangerous than it, that captured some of Iranian family members over 30 years and makes them for terrorist actions.

Hereby we remind you of some crimes of the terrorist faction heads (MKO):

  • Assassination and terrorism before Islamic Revolution such as assassination of some American advisors and top managers
  • Partnership in 8-year imposed war, together with Saddam and slaying of Iranian border zone people.
  • Killing of in-camp members such as Ghorban Torabi, Alan Mohammadi , Parviz ahmadi, Mehri Mousavi, Alinagi Haddadi & etc .
  • torture of the members and the prisoners in Ashraf camp and now in Liberty camp.
  • Intense brainwashing of Iranian family offspring for doing criminal actions.
  • make restraint the relocation and movement of the organization members to third countries.

Mr. Ban Ki-moon!

Hereby we, injured families of the faction members in Golestan Province- Iran, request you to fulfill releasing and rescuing our children from MKO perfidious commanders’ hands. As to insecurities in Iraq, for instance in some weeks ago its proved by missile attacks to Liberty camp, whereas the guilt was on MKO heads shoulders that fail to move the members and the prisoners to other countries, and now our beloveds are at risk of severe threats by some Iraqi militia groups. They are in dangerous and insecure situation. We request you and other Union advisors to take measures about movement of the prisoners and make them free in their lives, including communication with the outside world and their families in the shortest time after decades away and unaware from them.

How to end the Cult of Rajavi

Terrified people who are restricted in a cult-like system do not want to be free, they want to be protected. Cult leaders keep people in the state of terror so they cannot think of freedom, even they may give their freedom to the cult leaders willingly. They won’t realize the necessity of freedom unless they are aided from the outside world.

The Mujahedin Khalq Organization (the MKO/the Cult of Rajavi) is a destructive cult according to the criteria suggested by the prominent cult expert, Margaret Thaler Singer.

The first criterion comes from the group’s use of a specific set of mind control tactics. The MKO leaders use various tactics to brainwash their rank and file. Members are forced to report their thoughts and their dreams. They have to attend daily self-criticism meetings where they are under severe peer pressure. They are totally barred from family and friends.

A destructive cult is an authoritarian in its power structure. Although the Rajavis chant slogans of democracy and freedom, they keep their followers under a restrict totalitarian hierarchy. Everyone in the cult of Rajavi supervised by his superior comrades. Celibacy is obligatory. Forced labor is scheduled for all members. Protesting against the system or the leaders results in solitary confinement, torture or even death.

However, the charismatic, determined, and dominating portrait that the leaders show keeps the focus of love, devotion and allegiance on them. That’s why after the arrest of Rajavi by the French Police in June 2003, several members of the cult set themselves on fire.

Thus, it is absolutely vital to help and facilitate the release of the members who are still taken as hostages in the Cult of Rajavi. Most of the group members will eventually walk away from the totalitarian system, but this may take place after decades of exploitation and personality destruction. So-, it is vitally important to stop the cult-like dominance of the Rajavis.

Today, families of the MKO members try their best to help their children leave the cult system. They travel to Baghdad, Iraq to urge the authorities of Camp Liberty to have contact with their loved ones. They write letters to international human rights bodies. They visit certain officials who are in charge of the group’s relocation from Iraq. However, the authorities of the Cult of Rajavi obstruct all efforts made by the families who want to express their unconditional love to their loved ones in the cult. The authorities of the UNHCR should work to make the least rupture in the tall walls of the Rajavi- made castle. They should cooperate with the families to help their children liberate themselves from the bars of Rajavi’s prison, otherwise there is no end for the tragedy of lost lives of abused individuals.

MKO former member: Rajavi is a loser

Sirous Ghazanfari is a defector of Mujahedin-e Khalq Cult. In 2004 he separated the group and repatriated to his homeland. Now Sirous has his own business. He is married and has two children.

In an interview with Nejat Society Mr. Ghazanfari talks about his experiences within the MKO Cult and his life after separation from the cult:

“In 1998, I was prisoner of Iran- Iraq War. A year later due to the unbearable pressure of the prison along with the intense propaganda of the MKO elements within the Iraqi prisons I forced to join the group.

After joining the group, I spent the military, political and cultic phases within the cult.

After the US attack on Iraq and Saddam Hussein’s downfall in 2003, I had the opportunity to defect the group, though endured severe sufferings. ..”

“When I first entered Iran I had to face some difficulties to find a job and making a life due to my age. However I gradually overcame the difficulties….  Now I have my own business. .. I am married and have two children; Kowsar and Taha. …

Mr. Ghazanfari recommends his ex- comrades and friends who are still caught behind the bars of the cult to liberate themselves from the mental barriers of the cult.He says:

my dear friends!

The Organization [MKO] instills the members that separation from the group and starting a new independent life is impossible and those who detach the MKO will not have a good fate. But fortunately the good experiences of those who have already separated the group proved otherwise. …. You should decide your own fate. Be decided and take the first step…. “  

Referring to the recent activities of the Mujahedin-e Khalq, Mr. Ghazanfari says: ”I have abandoned all organizational relations. However I follow their activities through media- print,broadcast,internet. So as, I am aware of what is happening within the organization. I know that Rajavi has enslaved some helpless people in Iraq’s deserts and unfortunately caused the killing of 24 of them recently…Rajavi’s obstacles on the way of the member’s relocation caused their death…  The current government of Iraq wants Rajavi to move his followers from Iraqi territory…Yet Rajavi denies the Iraqis’ demand and even interferes in the internal affairs of Iraq… He hinders the members’ relocation process because he want to make more martyrs…

Rajavi is losing Camp Liberty as its Cult ideological base. The MKO’s support for rebels in Iraq and Syria brought nothing good for the group. The Saudi Arabia has not the potential to take in MKO members….

Rajavi is a loser and all his efforts is to maintain the group’s position in Ouver Sur d’Oise, France. He is fantasizing for some international incidents to take place to fish in troubled water.

Open letter to Bernard Cazeneuve ;Rajavi supports ISIS from France

The honorable French Minister of Interior Mr. Bernard Cazeneuve ,

The unfortunate incidents which happened in Paris , and as a result of that many innocent people ,women and men , lost their lives , have brought sorrow and sadness for all freedom loving people and this sorrow and sadness has opened our eyes and ears about these horrible incidents and we should ask the humane conscience this question , for what reason those innocent people lost their lives and were murdered ?

Mr. Minister I am Zahra Moeini , a German citizen , who had been a captive in Iraq in Ashraf Garrison for many years and i had experienced the life in people’s mojahedin organization ruled by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi . In 1992 when Maryam Rajavi called herself the president of national council of resistance of Iran !! i became a member of her security team and i left Iraq to Paris with her and after a while i went to Germany. the Rajavi’s terrorist cult told me that ;Germany is a very good country in Europe for asylum and we can fool the German government for our activities easily ; . After a while i found out about their ominous intentions and their crimes , so i decided to separate from them and right now i am a human rights activist in Germany. I had witnessed their crime such as money laundering and theft of the operatives of this organization .

Mr. Minister In the beginning of 1987 , the French government which was ruled by Mr. Jacques Chirac had incarcerated some of the pmoi officials because of violence and terrorist activities and extortion and send them to exile in Gabon . When it happened , Massoud and Maryam Rajavi both were in Iraq and Massoud Rajavi one year before it happened left France to Iraq . They both were angry and were saying that they wont forget this work of the French Government and they vowed that they will retaliate against the French government when they overthrow the Iranian government and they mentioned that it will be a good lesson to the world not to interfere in Iranian resistance affaires.

In 2003 when Maryam Rajavi and some of pmoi operatives got arrested in France , 11 million dollars was found in their headquarter in Auvers sur Oise . The PMOI leadership forced some of their followers and members in France and in Europe in front of the French Embassy and in USA to set themselves on fire to show their anger about the arrest of Maryam Rajavi . the leadership of pmoi wanted to create panic and fear among the French people to force The French government to release Maryam Rajavi as soon as possible . unfortunately two of those who set themselves on fire died of severe burning. those two were Mrs. Sedigheh Mojaveri and Miss Neda Hassani.

Mr. Minister As you see despite of huge amount of money which this terrorist cult spends for its shows and its existance in France , the leader of this terrorist cult , Maryam Rajavi , does not do anything to rescue the residents of Camp liberty from the hell hole of Iraq . This cult has a very dangerous essence and it is run by cultish rules . The main leader of this dangerous cult(the guru) , Massoud Rajavi has threatened all his critics and separated members to death, he wants to create a wave of fear and horror among his critics and separated members but his threat against his critics and separated members will begets panic and fear among the people of France and other European countries as well.

Mr. Minister do you think the leaders of this terrorist cult are suitable to run the government in Iran ? you should know that Maryam Rajavi has not been elected as president of the national council of resistance by the Iranian people who live in foreign countries or the captive members of this notorious cult in Iraq , for that reason she is not the representative of Iranian people and she can not represent Iranian people .

Mr. Minister I wrote a letter to the mayor of Auvers sur Oise while ago and i thanked her because she hosted two families of those captive members in camp liberty in Iraq . I urge you to stop their activities before witnessing another crime which they will perpetrate. Mr. Minister I have requested Maryam Rajavi many times to have a debate with me in a TV even in their own TV program but i have not received any answer except the death threat which i and others received from them.

Mr . Minister i share with you some of the crimes of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi : In 1989 Massoud and Maryam Rajavi ordered all pmoi members to separate from their husband or wife (compulsory divorce). By the direct order of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi all children ranging from 6 months old to the age before maturity were separated from their parents and they were sent away to an unknown destiny and future , some of those children got lost or were sent back to Iran or some of them got raped which was mentioned by some of Rajavi cult followers . The separated and divorced women in Rajavi cult by the direct order of Maryam Rajavi had to sleep with Massoud Rajavi for their own salvation !!! and they were ordered to go under surgical operation to take off their womb before sleeping with him.

Mr. Minister People’s mojahedin organization , PMOI, as the speaker of French external affaires explained , is a violent cult and its existance in France is illegal . i would like to reiterate that all the iranian members who are in the cult’s headquarter in Auvers sur Oise are the top officials of this cult and they are all commanders of the war and terrorist missions in Iraq and Iran. There is no difference between their thoughts and ideology with ISIS (Daesh) but because they are defeated and many of their members have separated from them and they have lost their popularity among Iranian People , the leaders of this cult in western countries specially in France are trying their best to show themselves as freedom lovers and pro-democracy organization and they pretend that they are against terrorism to wash their bloody hands and hide their real essence behind the mask of democracy and freedom . Supporting ISIS (Daesh) by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi goes to 9/11/ 2001 and in that day when the terrorists attacked the twin towers in New York city by the airplanes which they had hijacked and killed 3000 innocent American men and women , Massoud and Maryam Rajavi ordered to show the horrible scenes of those terrorist attacks many times in the gathering in Bagherzadeh garrison in Iraq and while they were clapping their hands , Massoud Rajavi said, I adore Islam which in this fanatic form has created such a damage to USA and imperalism, now wait and see what is going to happen to imperalism when our revolutionary Islam comes on power, .

There is no doubt that the reason behind their happiness and satisfaction about the terrorist attacks in 9/11 was their violent essence and their crave for bloodshed ,violence and armed struggle . There is no doubt that on the basics Rajavi , Daesh and Al ghaedeh have the same violent and fanatic thoughts and during the years i was in that cult ,all Rajavi’s interpretations of Ghoran were in support of violent and fanatic thoughts . Mr. Minister With all those facts mentioned above , for security and safety of your country , you should put an end to their cultish activities in Europe and in France , because they have supported Daesh in their official websites many times and their thoughts and cultish and terrorist behaviours during past 40 years substantiate that they have the same thought and behaviour as Daesh has . We should not forget that Rajavi cult carried out the suicidal operation in Iran in 1980,s and in 2003 suicidal operation on French soil by setting themselves on fire on streets of paris and they mentioned it proudly in their official websites . Those years which pmoi was carrying out those bloody suicidal operations and attacks against its targets , Daesh did not exist and i believe that Daesh had learned those suicidal operations from Rajavi cult.

Let Ayoub Lorestani’s lawyer contact him at Camp Liberty

The family of Ayoub Lorestani; Camp Liberty resident wrote an open letter to Maryam Rajavi.

The Soltani family are worried about the fate of their beloved son.

Some parts of the letter reads:

" Ms. Maryam Rajavi

We are the family members of “Ayoub Lorestani” who resides in Camp Liberty. We are very worried about his life. 14 years ago Ayoub left Iran to Turkey. His plan was to go to Europe from Turkey; however he met some members of the MKO and was transferred to Camp Ashraf, Iraq.

During all these years we were happy we could occasionally hear his voice. But during the last two years we have had no news of him. We just hear the news of Camp Liberty rocket attack. Do you really reward your worriers’ families in this way?

Our demand is to be sure of Ayoub’s welfare. We want him to be transferred to a safe country.  

Even though we keep track on Ayoub’s transfer to a third country via a lawyer in Australia and the UNHCR has accepted to cooperate on the issue, the Mujahedin-e Khalq are not cooperative.   

During these two years we have several times contacted the MKO officials; however they do not reply us. .. ….. Do the MKO members’ families deserve such behaviors?!…

The ailing parents yearn to visit their daughter who is captivated at Camp Liberty

Open letter to the UN Secretary General;Ban Ki-moon

Dear Secretary-General,

Respectfully, I would like to introduce myself, Abbas Fanoudi, as the father of Zahra Fanoudi who has been caught by MEK together with her husband, Mohammad Reza Hussein Nejad, in 2001; she has been jailed at Camp Ashraf since then. They were deprived of contacting or making any phone call to her family, and now her husband is transferred to Albany. They were kept away from each other since then without even being able to hear about each other. My daughter is currently at Camp Liberty, and we do not have any news of her health condition. The heads of the organization do not allow us to meet our daughter and have always frightened her by deception and intimidation. I, as a father, have been away from and unaware of my daughter’s condition. However, due to the declining health and the old age of my wife and I, we are impatiently awaiting the slightest news about her health or meeting her wheresoever away from dictatorial atmosphere of the organization.

I, hereby, beg to ask you and all competent authorities and officials to give due consideration to my request and also to thousands of other families’ letters to provide us with an opportunity to meet our children. Although many such letters and demands are sent to human rights bodies so far, neither any response nor any action has happened. I am not in the position to remind you of your duty as a responsible authority for thousands of families waiting to hear about their children and also against a terrorist group. Concerning the current chaotic condition in Iraq, the lack of security in the region, the recent bombing of Camp Liberty, and also the risks threatening our children’s lives, we fiercely demand the end of their stay in that country and their freedom from deception and dictatorship of the notorious People’s Mojahedin Organization (MEK).

I beg you to read this letter through the eyes of old parents missing their child, and take positive measures to take out our worries.

The cult of Rajavi

Family, Menacing Icon for the Cult of Rajavi

One sure sign of someone being involved in a cult is that there is a clear separation from family and friends. This sign is clearly observed in the Cult of Rajavi (The Mujahedin khalq Organization/ the MKO). There are numerous cases of families of the group members residing in Camp Liberty Iraq who have been striving to visit their loved ones in the camp but they are absolutely barred by the authorities to do so and they are labeled the group authorities who forbid any kind of family relationship, label the families as “agents of the regime’s intelligence Ministry under the cover of families of the residents”.  However, the efforts of the suffering families picketing in front of Camp Liberty resulted favorably by the Iraqi Parliament.

Following the meeting between Liberty residents’ families and certain Iraqi MPs, a parliamentary committee was formed to investigate the situation of the MKO members and their families’ request to visit their loved ones in the camp. They are hoping that the Iraqi administration will take proper actions to facilitate their visit. The parliament website reported that a member of the parliament’s leadership board, Dr. Humam Hamoudi had recommended the Human Rights Commission and Foreign Relations Commission to form a delegation to visit Camp Liberty in order to get first-hand information about the situation in the camp. This will help them to transfer the family’s wishes to their loved ones about their desires to visit them in the camp.

On the other side of the battle, the MKO’s propaganda does not remain silent. It publishes a so-called letter of families of liberty residents to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. In the alleged letter, the alleged “liberty residents’ families residing in Europe and the United States” are “gravely concerned” about the lives of their children!

The so-called letter is a failed tactic because of the numerous evidences on violation of the rights of family in the MKO camps. Regardless of the grieves of a large number of families from Iran who have been endeavoring to visit their beloveds in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty, the truths on the family rights abuse inside the MKO is undeniable.

Despite the MKO propaganda calls for visa for families in Europe and the US, there are families who were granted visa to travel to Iraq but they were prevented from visiting their loved ones in the Camps. Mustafa and Mahboubeh Mohammadi, whose daughter Somayeh has been taken as hostage by the MKO leaders, went to Camp Ashraf Iraq several times. They were not allowed to visit their daughter and even they were beaten by the MKO agents. However, the Mohammadis did not stop their efforts to save their daughter from the cult bars of the MKO.

Mustafa Mohammadi together with his other daughter Hurieh even went to the MKO’s headquarters in Auver sur d’oise to urge the group leaders to release their long lost daughter. Once more, they were attacked by the group agents for seeking their most basic right, the right to have a free contact with their loved one. Mostafa and Hurrieh were accompanied by another heartbroken father, Ghorban Ali Hosseinnezhad. When Gorban Ali escaped Camp Ashraf his daughter was left behind in the camp.

According to his testimonies, when he was in the camp he was not allowed to visit his daughter regularly. “The leaders of the MKO cult did not allow me and my first daughter Zeinab, 34, to visit and talk to each other while we were both in the same camp,” said Hosseinnezhad. “We were just allowed to meet each other on the New Year’s celebration for an hour or two and under their direct control and supervision.”

In Hurriyeh Mohammadi’s report on their trip to Auver sur D’oise you can read: “The Mojahedin are threatened by a father and daughter that have put their lives on hold many times and have used the little resources they have to fly to Paris to ask for the safety of Somayeh. They call themselves an organization for the liberation of the people of Iran yet they cannot even provide freedom to the ones they call their own. We will not stop fighting for the safety of our children and this will not be over until these captives are freed.”

As usual, the MKO propaganda labels the two fathers as agents of the Iranian Intelligence but there are many more evidences on the cases of violation against families in the group. Forced divorces and separation of children from parents are two iconic examples of abuses took place in the MKO after the so-called ideological revolution of Massoud Rajavi. Human Rights Watch and the US Defence Department’s RAND report, both mentioned the fact.

In Persian references you can see testimonies of former members who reveal horrible evidences about child abuses committed in the MKO camps. Manijeh Habashi and Nadereh Afshari, Batoul Soltani and many others are female defectors of the Cult of Rajavi who recount horrific facts about distorted family relations in the MKO camps. Before the children were dispatched to Europe in 1991, mothers in Ashraf were not permitted to live with their children. They were just allowed to visit their children on certain days of the week or certain hours of the day.

The above mentioned cases of violation of family rights occur in the camps of the MKO where no visa is needed to travel to visit a family member and the distance between two family members is not more than a few kilometer.

In a letter to UNHCR, former members of the MKO including Ghorban Ali Hosseinnejad ask the authorities to provide residents of Camp liberty with a situation so that they can decide for their future with their free will. “Many of us have been in this organization, before being able to find a way out of it, for decades”, they state.” We are fully aware of the brainwashing and intimidation activities that take place at every level with the single aim of isolating the members from the outside world and feeding them false information and targeted propaganda to turn them against their own families.”

The signatories of the letter believe that family connections –that the MKO members have been deprived of for many years—are a key to release them mentally and eventually physically. “Based on our personal experience, we assure you that if you facilitate the meeting of the members with their families in a protected and private space, without the presence of their superiors, they will find the courage to express their true desire that is to join their families and relocate from Iraq,” they write.

While the MKO propaganda claims that Iraqi government does not grant visas to families of liberty residents, this is the call of families who repeatedly went to Iraq, stand behind the gates of Ashraf and Liberty but they were not granted “visa” to visit their loves ones who are taken as hostages behind the bars of the camp:

“We will go to any lengths and are begging anyone who can hear our voices to help us. Please help free our kids from their evil clutches. Help their voices be heard. Help mothers take their children back into their arms. Help children see the advancement of the world and live the rest of their lives not in fear but tranquility and peace.

Mujahedin-e Khalq imprisoned me for 14 years

Nejat Society; Alborz branch held a meeting at the NGO’s office.

Families’ of Mujahedin-e Khalq hostages as well as recently defected members of MKO participated the meeting.

Mr. Fereydoun Ebrahimi and Bayramali Mohammadi were the two defectors who participated the meeting.

The families congratulated the defectors for their brave decision in liberating themselves from the bars of Rajavis cult.

Mr. Ebrahimi introduced himself declaring why and how he joined the group:”

In 2000, I immigrated to Turkey for sewing; the work I was proficient at. After a month I met a man who said he could send me to Europe via Iraqi border providing me with a good job and residency. I was fascinated by his false propaganda. In a week he provided my documents. Then I was transferred to Iraq and Camp Ashraf. At the Camp the commandants of the group convinced me that I had to wait for two years to be transferred to Europe.

However, they kept me at the group camps for 14 years without any contact with the outside world. I tolerated many physical and mental pressures within the Cult. At last in March 2015 I managed to release myself. At Camp Liberty I introduced myself to the Iraqi forces and UN members in Camp Liberty. I contact my family as soon as I stepped out of the Cult camp. Then I moved to Turkey and there I could visit my family members after so long years. After Turkey I immigrated to Germany. Although I was decided to stay there, when I heard about my mother’s illness, In October 2015 I repatriated. Now I am married and work at my brother’s shop. “
